My family and I have been relying on Fairbanks Pumping & Thawing for many years. Not long ago, I got in touch with Fairbanks Pumping & Thawing because we faced an issue with our sewer line freezing at the house.

Their staff arrived quickly, assisting with steaming the lines and then sent for another truck to empty the tank. During this time, I scheduled for the rental to be serviced as a maintenance precaution.

After the second worker arrived at my residence, the driver successfully complete the work on our tank and then directly moved to the rental and finished that task as well.

I reached out to Fairbanks Pumping & Thawing within normal hours, but they failed to return my calls. This leads me to doubt their reliability.

If this happen again, I will not think about using them again. The company's failure to provide communication can be unacceptable.

I was referred to the plumbing service by a local plumber. An urgent plumbing issue arose and after he finished the work, he informed me that we needed to pump our septic tank. I didn't know this. As a military family, I am new to AK. My boyfriend is in active duty and he was away on deployment at the time this happened. My plumbing knowledge is minimal. I am more skilled in a combat zone because of my military experience haha.

Thus, when the plumber detailed the necessary steps, I called Fairbanks Pumping & Thawing. The person on the line was quite accommodating. She provided details about our septic tank issue, the procedure, the fees and offered to send someone right away. The person who came did the job and ensured the pipes were functioning properly towards the septic tank. I was very satisfied with the service provided. They communicated well, and the service was prompt. I also asked a lot of questions because this is all new to me. Adjusting from the lower 48 to living in a rural area is quite a change, but the residents, including local businesses, are helpful. However, not every business excels in customer service, as is common, but the number of businesses available here is smaller, so poor customer service affects us more. Now that I know what the house needs, I plan to contact them annually.

I contacted the plumbing service in search of capable assistance, only to receive what I got a poorly equipped employee who was missing the right equipment to perform the work I requested.

Upon his arrival, he informed me he couldn't access the roof due to the fact that he was without the proper equipment although I had mentioned in our conversation that access was needed on the roof.

He then claimed he could take out the toilet, so I agreed, he told me to disconnect the toilet as he prepared his tools. I was surprised as I hired him.

He continued to say he had no tools available. After he tried to work, he failed to complete the work leading to sewage backing up throughout my house and I was billed. The bill I received was scrawled on a piece of scrap paper he had in his truck.

This plumbing service is not professional at all as well as utterly incapable. How can they come to a customer with no the ability to perform your duties yet expect the customer to assist you and cause damage to their property and charge them for not completing the service requested? I strongly recommend you do not reach out to them at all.

There was a blockage in my plumbing, yet I couldn't determine the reason because I had my tank serviced seven months earlier.

Dan found out I operate a home daycare, so he came over to look into the problem after a full day of work. It turned out we had a blockage, and he cleared it for us. He shared some advice on how I could manage it myself in the future (if needed).

At the end, I requested an invoice, and he told me not to worry about it. I was struck by both Dan's generosity, but also by the lady at the office who kept in touch with me and their dedication to getting someone to us quickly.

The person answering the phone came across as unhelpful during our calls. I cannot recommend their services.
