This company deserves an A+ for communication and prompt, skillful service. After almost 10 years, our E-One grinding pump failed on Memorial Day. The control box mounted outside chirped loudly and the red light on top stayed on. Directions were clearly marked on the control box and the website of FR Mahony is crystal clear and helpful. I called several times, but the office was closed (Memorial Day!). Yet -- just a few hours later -- I received a call from technician A.J. who was extremely helpful. Explained everything right down to anticipated costs. And I learned that the grinding pump life without problems is about 10 years. A.J. came the following morning to replace several parts. I was amazed at how skilled he was taking the pump apart, testing various parts and then putting it all back together with several new parts. Explanations were very clear and his skill and positive attitude was very appreciated. After pressure testing the pump, he returned it to the ground and made sure the control panel was set properly. Bottom line: it was a pleasure to deal with A.J. and his company.

I had a very different experience than some of the negative reviewers from many years ago. This is 2024 as i write this....December...freezing cold temps. This is all in regards to an e-one pump like many other reviewers.

The dreaded alarm went off last night late at night and i wanted to guidance on what i should do until they can come out. They made an emergency line available...called me back promptly. Gave great guidance on turning off the breaker overnight.

By 10am this morning i had a tech out here...his name is Lucas (Lucas you rock, deserve a raise my man!). Here's how i'm judging the company and service...

1) prompt response and treated me well during 3 separate interactions...one overnight on the emergency line, once more this morning when they called me first thing in the morning (i didnt have to call them, thank you), and lastly the experience here at my house

2) Did they assume the pump was bad and just sell me a new one? NO, they actually worked with me and showed me how they were testing the various components, and what was failing in the test and what wasn't

3) they were up front the whole time about pricing - they asked for a credit card to do the call out which is completely normal to me...if i owned a business i'd want that also to make sure if i'm deploying resources in the field at minimum i'm recouping my expenses on gas and wages. No problem, it wasn't 1k like someone else wrote from years back...that is not a valid review any longer.

At the end of the day they showed me clearly what parts were needed to repair the pump and keep it running instead of a full motor replacement. instead of a 4200+ full replacement job they were HONEST with me, made suggestions including a new cutter head (which wasn't required he said) but i went for it anyway. At the end of the day i'm happy....spent around $1200 instead of a whole new pump and i'm happy!

Thank you!

Kyle drive several hours to get to my house. I had been told I needed a new pump. He fixed it and said ""routine maintenance"". A fraction of the cost. Thank you!

bad communication and you will definitely find yourself paying and paying and they really don't care. the office staff is pathetic and will send someone out bc they know you will have to pay and make no attempt to answer basic questions to save their customers money or inconvenience. they installed a new pump and it was so loud I had to call as they did not warn me that it would be - they charged me $150 to show up and say, yeah, we should have told you, but they still charged me. Not only that, but the office left me a message 45 min before the te4ch was to show up and threatened to have him not come if I did not call them back. I told them the night before that I would be at the dentist and I had to have my dentist call them bc I had casting material in my mouth. the tech called an hour before as they said he would but they did not tell me that I had to answer or he would not come. I called him on my way back - after rushing my dentist- and he was still over half an hour away. I beat him home with plenty of time to spare, but now I get to go back to the dentist. I am looking for a new company as I never want to do business with these people again. They tried to get me to buy an auxiliary alarm and I was going to buy it for $200 bc they had to send someone out and then they STILL wanted to charge me $150 for the 15min he was here and did nothing. the first visit they made it sound like the pump could just be cleaned and then the tech told me that as soon as he opened it, if he opened it, that it would have to be either replaced or rebuilt - another total deception by the office who should have known that and given me the choice of either replacing now or when it quit. I do not feel like they can be trusted. Beware.

Dealing with this company was a nightmare. This is the only plumbing company that I've heard of, that requires your credit card information in order for them to do service. When questioned about this, was told it is their policy to put a $1000 hold on your credit card before they do any work! They compared themselves to a hotel, saying it was just like when hotels require a credit card for ""incidentals""! What kind of incidentals would there be when fixing a sewer pump on my property?!? We gave them the credit card information. They came out to fix the sewer pump. The technician said he knew what the problem and fixed the pump. We paid in cash rather have our credit card charged. The next morning, we get a call from them asking for credit card information again. My husband told them we already pain in cash. The rude customer service representative, Dawn, checked and said oh yes, now I see that you did pay in cash. But we still need your credit card information. She said, our pump was still broken, and the technician did not fix the pump, but put the company's temporary pump in while ours was getting fixed. The technician did not say anything of this when he came out. We asked how much it was going to be to fix the pump, and she could not tell us, saying we won't know until it's fixed. So they expected us to give them a credit card without knowing how much it was going to be. We told them we would pay cash like we did last time. She demanded our credit card info and said they are coming to get their pump back if we do not give it to them. We refused to give any credit card info and they took the pump and put the broken pump back. We are currently in for process of taking this company to court. This is no way to conduct business.

First the technicians did fix the sewer pump problem, it was a simple fix just cleaning grease on the level sensor. But...closing the manhole cover, they simply put the flange blots in the holes on no less than seven flange locations and did not tighten any nuts and bolts at all! When I looked at the job when I got back home, my wife told me the technicians said they could not get at ""two"" nuts...not true it was seven. They didn't even leave the nuts! Had to go out and buy nuts, job took me less than 15 minutes to finish the job. Check the work carefully before you pay the bill, ensure you get what you pay for.
