Run away as fast as you can. First the website say No Dispatch Fee and No Diagnostic Fee. I was charge $115 for the service guy to come to the house to diagnose my furnace problem. I already knew what was wrong. I needed it fixed. Then he quoted me $2800 dollars for a repair. A $70 and $40 part at Home Depot was $600 and $400 according to him. He then tried to up sell me to install a brand new unit at a cost of $11,000, but lucky me I could finance it through them. I said NO THANKS! Used Google. Found a local independent business man with 40 years of experience. Provided a rough quote over the phone. Came and checked the unit for free. Fixed for $350. Do not trust the guy on the back of the truck.

I received a quote to replace bathtub/shower hardware only at a cost of $1209.00 in labor. I had the old tub/tile removed, new tub installed and tile plus the hardware installed for $1800.00 labor. Not sure what happened here.

I bought two very expensive Lennox heatpumps, gas furnaces, thermostats, humidifiers and a gas waterheater through FHFurr because they were highly recommended by Costco in Fairfax, VA. I also purchased an additional 10 year warranty from Furr. The system had worked for 5 years when the two thermostat malfunctioned at the same time [???]. Furr's tech replaced them with new programmable ones because original ones were no longer available. Cost: $1,200. Yes $1,200. Again $1,200. Furr's warranty did not pay for thermostats because I had performed the annual preventive maintenance myself instead of a Furr tech. The thermostats failed because of a defect not because of a maintenance issue. There is no maintenance required on the thermostats. Moreover, what happened to a $250 thermostat? I believe I am being ripped off by Furr. Yes, ripped off. Every time I see the Furr reps selling Lennox HVAC systems at COSTCOs, I want to tell my fellow Costco customers to avoid Furr at all cost. I am convinced that there are at least 3 other major, reputable HVAC companies in Fairfax that are better after the sale and cheaper than FURR. Watch out. You have been warned. Remember, Virginia is a ""Buyer beware"" state.

My experience with this company has been terrible and we wished we had never worked with them. We changed our HVAC system December 2015 with a very expensive system (we looked at several companies and decided to go with FH Furr) and our experience could not have been worse. Three months after getting the new system, the new thermostat broke (the interface module was bad) and needed to be replaced; while finding the new thermostat compatible with our system and the time to install it, we had one week with not heat! (Apparently, they did not installed a commonly available thermostat the first time). While installing, they made a hole in the wall in the dinning room where the thermostat is located! Another example of the poor job: At the beginning of the summer, we turned the AC on and water started pouring from the system all over the floor, wetting the wooden walls, door and carpet area. Apparently, the drainage of the AC system was not properly installed. Now our carpet and walls are damaged, possibly with mold... No response from the company. The water also rusted parts of the (very expensive!) system. In addition to the above, people did a very poor job cleaning after their work (or not at all). For instance, they had to cut some parts of a wooden wall to install some vents (they did this after the Gas company told us that the new system failed the inspection due to the lack of vents). They returned, cut the wholes and left sawdust and nails all over the place. Another example of the poor job: The thermostat is installed in a place where there is air behind it and therefore it does not measure the temperature correctly in the room. I wish I could show pictures about all of the above... I could not be more dissatisfied with this company and in no way we can recommend them...

We are super impressed with FH Furr. The customer service provided is far better than other companies. Travis Humphrey, our technician, arrived right on time, and although it was the end of his work day, he was wonderful! Not only was he on time, but he was well dressed, in nice khakis and a button down FH Furr shirt. It was definitely a surprise to see such a professional look for their company uniform.
Despite having worked (what I imagine was) a long day, Travis was friendly and helpful. He quickly got to work, and explained the problem with our furnace. He showed me exactly what I needed to do and was even kind to my kids who were very interested in the process. Travis explained he would order the required part and have it installed within two days. Considering we were going without heat, we thought this was definitely a timely turn around for a special order part.
First thing the next morning, I had an email from Mark Clements in the FH Furr Warranty department saying that the previous owners of the house had purchased an extended parts and labor warranty package on the furnace. Mark even provided me with all the information needed to contact the manufacturer and transfer ownspership to my husband and I. Now we will save money as well!
Travis came today and quickly repaired the furnace. He didn't just do the repair, he thoroughly checked the entire system! He was extremely knowledgeable and shared his expertise with my husband and I.
Our experience with FH Furr, Travis Humphrey and Mark Clements has left us extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised. It's rare to find one company that exhibits such a level of integrity, skill, knowledge and professionalism. Thanks so much for a wonderful, stress free experience!

SO here is an update on my experience with FH Furr over the past year since we had the HVAC and water heater installed. Both items seem to be working just fine - however just like a few of the other reviews FH Furr's customer service stinks - they don't respond to requests for contact to discuss issues. We paid for the platinum service plan figuring that we'd have priority service when needed. We scheduled a maintenance service visit and was told the tech would arrive early afternoon...shortly after the timeframe was up we received a call that it would be another three hours so we rescheduled after waiting around for hours. The day of the rescheduled visit I called customer service and asked that a manager call me back to discuss a few things. A manager did call back later that day, but after I explained all of the reasons why we were disappointed with FH Furr, spending over $12k on the two units that has several issues at installation such as leaky water & gas fittings (gas failed LoCo inspection), which required a few additional visits from their repair guy, $200 for a service plan that didn't seem worth it, no 100% satisfaction as advertised throughout their paperwork, website and recording when you're on hold, and explaining that we would consider never do business with this company again - she apologized and say she would call after this next service to ensure all went well. Guess what, she did NOT call. At that next appointment the service tech, who was very nice and courteous, told us that we might have a slight problem with a small leak but he wasn't sure because it could be old from when they installed the unit. Said we could have someone come out in the Spring during that routine maintenance visit to take a better look.....so we wait until the Spring?!?

After spending over $12k with this company we realized that they have our $ and don't need us to stick around as customers.

We made the original purchase with a local family-owned company because we try to support local businesses in the community, but that decision in this case has been very, very disappointing.

I had them replace my hot water heater for my condo I rent out. He quoted me $1500 to replace the unit. Had a family with a new born living there so had to act fast. Told him to go ahead. Took the old unit out and then told me he could not find a similar model and ended up charging me $4800 for a 50 gallon tank. He had me trapped and had no choice to go thru it. I felt so taken advantage of, and feel $4800 to replace a water heater is outrageous. The one high mark I give them is they get out to you fast, which was the only reason I called them.
