I have been happy with Furr until last Friday when I discovered late in the evening that a deposit check for $2000 had been deposited and cleared my account on 2 dates 7/26 and 8/.8. Images of the checks showed identical checks with some additional numbers across the front of the 2nd check. Knowing accting was closed on a weekend I called Monday. Was not put through to acctg but sent to customer service. No response. Left a msg with multiple contact numbers. As of today, Wed. 8/13 no response. Maybe this will get someone to contact me.

I have been a preferred partner for three years now. I pay two monthly subscriptions (no idea why -- this seems wrong). I called Saturday morning after my HVAC unit shut down. You gave me a window of ""all day Sunday"". My family and I waited at home all day. I called twice trying to get an update only to be told I would ""receive a call back"". Never heard from you at all. Called back Sunday evening only to learn that no one would be showing up that day, and that I would be put first on the schedule Monday morning. I call back Monday morning and am told sometime between 8am and 12pm. I call two more times trying to get an update and again am told I will get a call back. Then a technician calls me telling me he's on his way. He immediately calls me back to tell me that he has been re-routed to someone else instead. I call three more times trying to understand and to get an update as to when another technician is going to show up - I receive zero calls back. It is now 2pm and still can't get a simple response out of anyone.

I have two babies under 2 years old in this house and three dogs. I pay you $30 / month for two preferred partner subscriptions and I can receive neither (i) service within three days (ii) nor the simple courtesy of a call to let us know you will be missing the window allotted, let alone the fact that you won't be showing up at all that day (or the following day) promised. Unbelievably terrible service, and an utter waste of $1,004 over the past 36 months.

Was happy w FH Furr until recently. They have a maintenance contract which seemed good value for money until i tried to schedule the service. They gave me an appointment and then sent two separate texts to confirm the days before. The day of i get a call telling me they could not come and next available was one month later. Clearly they have customer service and scheduling problems. I canceled and will find better service providers.

We purchased a new HVAC system from F.H. Furr in February. When attempting to use the new AC system for the first time, we discovered it was not working. Our home was hotter insider than it was outside. A technician told us that the new AC, which had never been used, needed a new part which he did not have in stock. He said the new part would take several days to come in, and we would be contacted when it arrived. We've left several messages and no one has called us back.

We spent approximately $20K on a new HVAC system, and the AC is not working. This week's temperature is expected to reach 90 degrees, and it appears that since F.H. Furr received our sale, they have no sense of urgency in making sure our new system is operational. They have terrible service; go elsewhere.

Back in September of 2019, F. H. Furr installed a water heater. All was well until about four or five months ago, something began to go wrong with my system. Noises began to occur that could have been the the pressure reducing valve or the thermal expansion tank which they replaced at the time of the water heater install in September 2019. Fast forward to May 29, 2025, when I contacted them to come out and give me an estimate for the repairs. The technician was cordial and well versed in what he was doing and needed to be accomplished.

The size of the estimate made me decide to DIY R&R the expansion tank and save a considerable amount of money. I secured the same exact expansion tank that was originally installed and proceeded to remove the old one which had indeed failed and reinstall the new one after pumping it up to the correct pressure. Success or so I thought. After the fact, I read the installation instructions that came with the new tank only to find out that they originally installed the expansion tank incorrectly by placing the unit horizontally rather than vertically, water connection up or down. The installation instructions say in bold letters DO NOT INSTALL THIS EXPANSION TANK IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION. Sadly, I had to install the new tank incorrectly as well because I didn't want to do any work on the copper pipe.

I recommend to F.H. Furr that they make sure their installers follow the manufacturer's suggestions for installing products that they sell and install.

I bought a service contract in April. I paid for filters that I never received. I cannot get an answer from the company regarding work they suggested needs to be done. I was promised a call by 4 pm yesterday never happened. I keep calling and leaving messages with no forward progress. Would like a refund.

FH Furr tech came out when my heat stopped working, turns out the inducer motor was the issue. The tech worked up the pricing and came up with $3,700 for ""only repairing what needs to be done to get the heat going"", all the way to $5,400 for the ""recommended"" work. Needless to say, I wanted another opinion, so I paid the $115 trip charge and looked for another company. Meanwhile, the tech went back out to his truck and threw his shoe covers onto my driveway (I monitor with cameras, so foolish and childish- photo attached).

The new company dispatched a tech this morning, and got my heat up and running in minutes. With the repair, added a new filter for my humidifier, and I signed up for the maintenance plan, all for just over $600! Needless to say, my gut was right and FH Furr was trying to overcharge me dramatically. Beware!!!!

I live in a condominium community and wasn't sure if F H Furr was equipped or knowable enough for a complete air conditioning and gas heating system replacement. As it turned out, I was completely convinced and satisfied with the results of the installation and follow-up service.
The new system also included a Washington Gas Co. approved rebate.
My summer results with my new conditioner were quite positive and I am expecting the same results from my new gas heating system.
Additionally, F H Furr's administrative office has been very supportive and skilled advocates.

FH Furr installed a water heater. It failed inspection. It needs to be re inspected. FH Furr was supposed to call me back to schedule. No one called. It has been weeks. I have called multiple times each week and sent numerous emails to have our water heater reinspected. No one has returned any messages. I even left a message with the plumbing service manager, no response.

I called our local water company today to see if we can just work through them. Our hands are tied. FH Furr needs to pay for the reinspection. Until FH Furr pays for the reinspection, no one will come and reinspect.

I just want this to be completed. It's been a nightmare. I'm looking into other ways I can escalate this. It is a terrible way to do business.

Had 'tune up/maintenance' service performed, the technician was pleasant and took his time checking the units. At the end we were provided with a long list of 'issues' to be addressed and recommended to replace an entire HVAC unit which was working properly, because it was old and slightly under-performing.
Thankfully, capitalism LOVES competition and we were able to get a second opinion and lowered the list into two items that needed to be addressed. Competitors offered to complete preventative repairs for a much lower cost.
Competition is also excellent for replacements, we found multiple competitors offering replacement with lower cost and equally experienced professionals.
