Beware. These are the last people you should go to with your HVAC needs. They will literally charge exorbitant fees for doing nothing. Our Heat Pump under warranty was over charged by 1.5 pounds and had to be bled off. They screwed around wanted me to change filters which I did. They wanted to borrow my ladder which I allowed. They then charged $400 dollars without providing an estimate without providing an itemized bill and demanded the money COD. Complaining met with the biggest A-hole supposed supervisor who said, ""Its fixed ain't it, thats how much it cost. DO NOT USE these people you will be asking to be ripped off. Totally a disgusting, disgraceful business who takes advantage without remorse of elderly people and likely most they deal with. Never Never Never again
Megee Plumbing and Heating - the card says in Red Letters - 24/7 EMERGENCY SERVICE. There fancy van says: 24/7 EMERGENCY SERVICE.
My husband and I had an emergency= no heat. We called and we got the answering service (this was on a Sunday). We waited and waited. Nothing. we called again. Waited again. They finally called back. The tech said he didn't want to come and that it would cost $149.00. We knew that. Hubby said please come out. Again, he said he didn't want to come. Well, send someone who does. It is suppose to be freezing that night and it was. No phone call nothing. We are senior citizens and we were COLD! They should be sued for FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
Yes, they finally came at there convenience. This is not over.

RAINING THOUGH THEVROOF WHERE MEGEE PUT PIPE FROM FURNACE THRU ROOF,RUIN CEILING LEAKING RAIN. MEGEE SUPPOSED TO TOOK OUT ALL COPPER WATER PIPES Under my mobile home,4 guys sat in the white van for few hours then left without doing the job,i called & they sent another man ,he did not complete the job neither,,,rip off ,yet they put new water pump in ,on the ground under my mobile home and a new furnace and did not insulate around the pipe from furnace to the roof,which made a leak of rain inside ceiling in front of furnace. A messs.
They lie, they don't finish jobs they start and they will over charge and scam you. Use anyone else. When I called other companies both of them knew Megee was the company that we were having issues with because of their reputation. Don Disharoon is the most incompetent salesman around and people know him by name at other companies as being a ""nightmare"". Stay clear.
Elaine D.My husband and I have been customers of Megee for many years and I have always meant to write a review for them but never seemed to get to it. We have a service contract with them and as such, technicians come out every Fall to check on all our plumbing fixtures, etc... they just completed our service visit for 2020 and the same two young men who have been coming for the past few years came again. Every year, including this one, they are prompt, courteous, thorough and ready to answer any questions we may have. They were masked up and used their shoe coverings which we also appreciated. It's always such a pleasant experience dealing with these young men that I was prompted to finally put a review out here and was surprised that Megee's rating is not higher as our experiences for many years have always been very positive. We look forward to many more years of awesome service.
These people are crooks. The technician was very pleasant and did good work but Ed the guy who ""sets the prices"" pulls a bait and switch I confirmed with him 2 times the cost to de-winterize a house, then the technician is informed to collect a $100 travel fee. So really...he lied. Liars are bad - don't be like ED.
We recent used MeGee Plumbing for a clog in our sewer line. They showed up on time, when expected. The service technician was very courteous, very professional, explained everything he was doing, and left the place neat and clean, as he found it. He obviously takes pride in his work - a definite asset to the company.
I would not hesitate recommending MeGee to family, neighbors, or friends

When technician told me the job would cost over $500 (to replace two faucets-one bathroom and one kitichen one and to fix a leak with a shower handle) I thought there must be something very time consuming here I did not see. I supplied the brand new faucets. Well, two hours later he says he is done, hands me a bill for $460 (said he could not fix the shower handle). That means for two hours of work they were charging me $230 an hour. (about twice what their website says it is). I paid it but feel taken advantage of. This happened a while back and someone from their company did call me but I feel it should be noted.
Still months later no updated contract or return of fee as promised.
They only get 1 star as I can't give zero stars. Terrible, terrible experience. Called them in 4 months ago. The person they sent was incompetent and poorly equipped. He made a complete mess of things. Left me with 3 leaks that weren't there before, and told me a faucet I had purchased was incompatible with my RO system, when in fact it was compatible and he just didn't know how to fit it. It's taken Megee close to 4 months to fix problems caused by them. I lost access to my kitchen because mold had developed due to one of the leaks caused by them. I've lost earnings. I've lost vacation time. They've made appointments which I've taken time off for and then not turned up and not bothered calling. When I call them, no-one knows what's going on and the woman who answers the phone is incredibly rude and unhelpful. They have no concept of customer service. Do yourself a huge favor and don't let Megee into your home. They are a joke.
