I called FH Furr for a new HVAC system, to replace the aging propane system to a new electrical system, and upgrade my home to a 200 amp service. FH Furr sent David Gardner to review my property and provide a reasonable and complete proposal. I accepted the proposal, as it was a fair price.
FH Furr then sent quality, qualified professionals to perform each stage of the project. They coordinated with DEC for the electric service upgrade, and Barry Savage installed the new power service cable, the new meter and shutoff, and pwer cable to the home. Scott replaced the electrical panel in my home, as the old one was maxxed out, and he and Barry installed the new power cable hookups. Later, Albert Carracino and co-worker Nick came to install the new outdoor HVAC unti, and the new indoor HVAC units. They each worked on their seperate tasks, and together to finalize the install of those parts. Then Barry Savage returned to install the final wiring to the new units and new wiring for my new stove.
All in all, I could not be happier! FH Furr is a professional team of quality, licenced technicians. They showed up on time, as scheduled, and performed their installs with organized efficiency, and even cleaned up completely afterwards. Nothing was jury-rigged, or half-done, or cut corners. Everything was top notch, professional, well organized, and completed. I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking for the best of the best.

Called for service on rinnai water heater. technician ( ? ) said it was in terrible shape and maybe he could clean the electrodes. I asked how much and he had to call the office. came back with a price and performed work. Water was warm after his work and I asked him how much for a new unit. He had to call the office again and quoted me a price of 4500.00. on a unit that was already plumbed in and vented. I said goodbye after a charge of 475.00 , which he had to call the office again. Bought a new and bigger model the next day for 1100.00 and replaced it in less than an hour. I would definitely stay away from this company

I am a premier member of FH Furr and was floored when recently I called to have tech come out to deal with a leaky kitchen faucet. the tech and I discussed replacing it and an estimate that I was given was for $1105!!!!! not sure what this company is doing, however, my concern is it they are targeting seniors, and people that are just unaware of the cost of having a traditional faucet replaced. I bought a faucet off of Amazon for $96 and had another Plumber install it for $100. Buyer beware of this company.

Gouging older or naive clients is among the lowest possible things a company can do to people in need of help. Taking advantage and calling something an emergency when it's not and then charging twice to three times what it should cost is criminal. Typical of this company and the company they recently purchased . Hacks . Get quotes from others . If a bonafide emergency don't call these people

my kitchen faucet was leaking I called them they came same day told me I needed new faucet and they had two in truck they only deal with Moden because they are the best showed me the price on their computer with my 15% discount it cost 1186.00 dollars for the one. I couldn't believe the price I should have looked on my computer before for what Amazon was selling the same model for $283.00 i was taken across. they had no problem replacing the old faucet so how can they charge that much ?

I call Furr to request a service call to help me complete the installation of my outdoor shower in Bethany. Was told it was too late for a service call that afternoon but that it could be scheduled for a later Saturday. We agree on Saturday, June 15.

Friday, June 14, 2024
Because it is a 3-hour drive from my home in Maryland to Bethany Beach (and because the cost of gasoline and tolls for the one-way trip is about $40), I call Furr before departing Maryland at 11:16 AM to make sure that I am still on the schedule for a service call the next day. I am assured that the appointment is in the books and that I can expect a phone call either later that afternoon or else Saturday morning with an ETA for the technician.

Not yet having heard from Furr with an ETA, I call them again at 1:35 PM. I am informed that I am still to expect the technician and that I would receive either an email or a phone call to inform me of the ETA. The Furr representative double-checks
with me to make certain she has my correct email address. She does.
Not yet having heard from Furr with an ETA, I call them again at 3:02 PM. This time I am informed by a gentleman at Furr that I am NOT scheduled for an appointment this day because Furr never schedules service calls of a non-emergency nature on weekends. WHAT? WHAT? Are you kidding me? What about the information I received during my previous three calls? What about this blurb that I have copied and pasted from the Furr website:
To Get Absolutely The Best Service, Service 7 Days Per Week!
This is just simply unacceptable. Unprofessional. Unconscionable.
Perhaps an hour after that phone call ends, I receive a call from Furr, asking how things are going. I give the female representative a piece of my mind, explaining to her exactly what I have described above. She tells me that she will attempt to secure a $75 coupon towards my next service call. But here's the thing: I can only get to Bethany on weekends and, since Furr doesn't make service calls on weekends, what good would a $75 coupon do?

It's Father's Day and so I depart Bethany for Baltimore to spend the day with my daughter. This will require another 3 hours on the road and another $40 or so expenditure on my part. So far I am out 6 hours of my life and about $80 of my money. Upon arriving in Baltimore I note that I have a voicemail message from Furr asking me to return the call. But it's Father's Day. It's Sunday. And I am not inclined to spend any more of the time I may have left dealing with this absurd situation.
For more than half a year I have been paying Furr $13.95 monthly to be considered a member of the so-called Preferred Partners Plan which I was under the impression entitled me to priority service. I have now learned that not only have I not purchased priority service, I am unable to obtain service at all. $13.95 a month. It seems to me that any fair-minded person would agree with me that F. H. Furr has earned neither my respect nor confidence.

This company is the worst. 3 weeks ago i called them because my AC was not working. they sold me a maintenance agreement and the technician came pretty fast. The technician said that my system has a leak and it could cost me alot of money for him to find it. i said ok he said that it would be better and cheaper for him to fill the AC with freon and if that didn hold long he would come back and check for the leak. Well my AC only lasted 3 weeks and stopped working I called company and they said that I would have a technician out Sunday before 12:00 that never happened I call all day to fond out when someone was coming finally around 5:30 I got notification the technician was on his way never showed up. Got a call for Service manager who first told me the technician refused to come to my home because I didn't pay him I told him that was a lie and said I have my credit card statement to prove it he said sorry I see you did pay but the technician still refused to come out and he would send someone else in the morning well no one showed up and no call backs. you have been warned do not use this company Red dog was much better. I will tell all my military friends family and my fellow postal workers the same.
