{I have been a customer of Extreme Heating and Air since 2009.|Since 2009 They set up a new furnace in my house. I arranged yearly service calls to keep it in optimal condition.

A few years ago, I noticed a foul natural gas smell around my home. I called Enstar repeatedly, and they consistently determined it was nothing on their end. Extreme Heating and Air came out multiple times and addressed many other issues at a cost of a significant amount over the different visits, but the issue of natural gas was not resolved.

Finally, I chose to call Moore Heating on a trusted friend's suggestion in December 2020 when the gas smell was in my house. Moore's service person right away identified that the furnace was out of alignment and explained all the damage as a result of that. The technician was unsure if it was a mistake during installation or had shifted in the earthquake.

Regardless, a service person from Extreme Heat had been to my home several times, and none of the service personnel ever recognized that the furnace was uneven. I choose to do business locally in Eagle River, but I will forever use Moore from now on. I found them to be much more capable and effective in addressing this problem.

We encountered a challenge with our hot water heater. This morning, Joe Mc Masters visited to evaluate and repair the situation. The technician was well-informed, friendly, and professional. The costs were just. I endorse this company, and if we face another issue, we will reach out to them. Thank you!!

I contacted the team at Extreme Heating and Air about my faulty furnace. I received no helpful advice or pricing details, other than the comment "you need a new furnace." The charge was listed as $180.00.

A week later with no communication, I lost hope. I then visited another service provider. I spent a total of $700 and completed the repair on my own.

I was really unhappy. I tried to support a local Eagle River business.

Overall, I did not have a good experience with Extreme Heating and Air. I hoped for a different outcome.

We contacted Extreme to fix a hot water situation we were experiencing. A technician did some repairs, which seemed effective during the visit...and it was.

However, we suspect some fishy actions happened during the initial visit that could result another call out in the future. Lo and behold, a month and a half later, a component broke that was not supposed to fail and had nothing to do with the reason for the repair.

The mentioned part had been stripped per the manufacturer. If you choose to use this service, stay alert and keep a close eye on their work. Ask questions... for our part will not use them again.

We only gave them two stars is that they reimbursed us for the part we needed which my partner managed to install.

I was truly pleased by the initial phone call with the polite and helpful representative and the punctual arrival from technician Grant! He fixed a leak in my hot water pipe located in the garage area. Their work was swift, efficient, and affordable! I give it two thumbs up!

We have utilized Extreme Heating and Air multiple times previously and just recently reached out to them for issues with our water heater. While they were scheduled, they assured me that they would come out at the earliest opportunity to assess it.

A technician named Matt showed up and quickly diagnosed the issue. He found further problems and shared recommendations while he was present. He did a great job and resolved them immediately. He ordered a new water heater, and the technician Tyler arrived before the expected time to install it.

The team at the business are fantastic and truly are knowledgeable about their field. Like Matt, Tyler proved to be approachable, professional, and meticulous. He had everything working in no time, and the charge was affordable. I strongly suggest these folks to those who wants excellent service for heating, air conditioning systems, or plumbing services needs.

I booked a technician to inspect, service and flush my 5-year-old on-demand water heater. A technician arrived a technician who was familiar with very little about the brand of water heater I have, although I shared that information when I set up the appointment.

He took a quick glance and did a few minor tasks that I perform myself annually anyway. The technician mentioned it needed to be drained but lacked the knowledge to do so. He departed with a bill for his time and said they should visit again next year!

I considered this and decided to call the service manager. He did not really seem to care and essentially ended the call after I told what had happened and what was expected.

They will not be getting my business again and I cannot endorse them to anyone. This was an extremely disappointing encounter.

The service provider failed to meet my expectations. I hoped for a knowledgeable technician and effective help. Regrettably, that was not the case.

I had the team from Extreme Heating and Air install a high-efficiency boiler in my over 50-year-old house in downtown Anchorage. This installation was somewhat complex and involved the taking out of the old 1000-pound cast iron boiler.

The employees from Extreme Heating and Air team showed up on time at 8 am, as planned, and worked diligently for three full days.

The completed installation looks impressive and operates effectively... a work of plumbing art.

The team was professional throughout the entire process, from estimating the bid to the final result. They honored their bid to the dollar.

As a customer of Extreme Heating and Air, I found the plumbers to be skilled and respectful. Unfortunately, the component they installed for the hosebib replacement failed to perform after 24 months. A part of the stem came apart and blocked the pipe. I had to replace it and re-drywall again. I was disappointed that the company would not provide any discount since the manufacturer only covers the product for a month, and they only offer a twelve-month warranty (not two-year warranty). I informed the company that they might want to think about changing manufacturers if their products are malfunctioning after two years.

Five stars for the in-field plumber. I rate it two stars due to the untimely equipment failure without reimbursement.

I was reading some positive comments on here prior to contacting them.

The furnace unit stopped working in the midst of the final days of frigid temperatures. I reached out to them on April 8, 2021 to have my furnace serviced.

Initially, a technician came to inspect to see what is wrong. The technician informed me that my ignitor is broken, but he lacked the necessary part, which made sense. I consented to order the part. At this point, I had already received a bill for the inspection, and I didn't mind paying.

A few days later, the same technician came back with the new ignitor and installed it, but the heating system remained inoperative. Now I was told the mainboard was also damaged also, and I approved that to have that part ordered as well. Again, he returned to install the new mainboard but it still didn't work. The replacement board made the same sounds and had the same indicators as the previous one. At this point, the technician said that they typically don't service this type of furnace.

I wanted to know the total cost and he presented the invoice, which was around $500 but the issues remained unfixed. Then the technician pointed out that my exhaust fan is also broken and that it needed to be replaced too. He removed the exhaust fan to inspect it. I approved to proceed with ordering a new part, but he did not return. As of April 26, 2021, the furnace is still in pieces, and parts all over the place. No call follow-up or anything.

This technician cannot pinpoint the problem at all and seemed to be guessing while charging for all the parts until the issue is resolved. This is indicative of poor service from this company. What I learned in all of this is to keep my expectations low for Extreme Heating and Air despite the positive reviews.

I cannot recommend this company to anyone given my experience.
