I had ordered a faucet on Amazon and used Amazon's Home Services to get it installed. Without using this review to simply bash Amazon / Handyman Hudson, let's just say it was a nightmare. So on a Saturday night at 8:00 PM I was able to get Expert Plumbing out to my house to fix a multitude of problems which included not having any running water in our home because of new leaks created during other handyman's attempt. The Expert Plumbing plumber was clean and professional. I had no doubts he was doing things the right way. I felt that given it was an emergency call on a Saturday night, what they charged was very reasonable. They will absolutely be my first call for any plumbing needs.

Richard was great in fixing our air conditioner! He was able to pinpoint the issue right away. He went through the entire house to check airflow, temperatures, and made sure the blowers were working correctly. He answered all are questions and made suggestions. Thanks Richard!

Jim, a manager with Expert Plumbing Heating Air & Electrical promptly gave me a call first thing in the morning. We reached an immediate resolution and I'm impressed with how concerned he was over my experience. It would only be fair to give them another chance and I plan to do so in the future as Jim was absolutely focused on making things right and assured me what happened is not how they operate.

As for my current issue, I'll take a shot in making the repairs myself (didn't attempt the first time because I wanted it done quickly and right) but hey, if I make things worse then I'm now confident Jim and his staff would get things resolved.

Original review

Review for plumbing service. Kitchen faucet, sink backup and sink leak. Was informed over the phone the service fee would be $29. Technicians didn't arrive until after 5:30PM and charged $89 for an after hour service. Very friendly technicians however, they showed the price breakdown in the first 5 minutes of arriving. I reminded him as long as the main issue is addressed, I believe it's a fair price which was the sink leak and not the easily replaceable faucet and he nodded in agreement and said we'll get into that.

Had the faucet out and replaced quickly. Technician stated the faucet has been leaking so long that it caused water to run underneath which resulted in dry rusting. A new sink is inevitable but there shouldn't be any more leaks as water is not running down anymore.

Still leaks. Water is still backing up from potentially clogged pipes, the sink is leaking when it's backed up and I'm left with a $453 bill ($89 service fee, $364 faucet with 2-year warranty) for a faucet replacement. They did a fine job installing the faucet but personally, I felt I was grossly overcharged in parts and servicing when all the concerns weren't fully addressed. I'd be happy to remove the faucet myself, package it up and send it right back and even pay some sort of restocking fee and installation fee if I could get a good chunk of my money back. Purchasing and installing a basic faucet would be a quarter of what I paid today and that wasn't my main concern.

Again, friendly staff but only one of my concerns were taken care of and it was assumed that single issue was the cause for everything else.

Great folks! We are new to SLC, and took to yelp to find HVAC service after being burned by another business in town. Expert was great to work with, priced fairly and communicated well. Richard did an outstanding job servicing our hvac system, and I plan on giving these folks a call with our needs in the future.

Scott V. with Expert Plumbing came right on time after I was stood up twice by a different company. He figured out the problem right away and presented me with a few different options. He got to work on the problem right away and was fast efficient and knowledgeable. He was also very understand and kind...great customer service. Their prices were better than the company that stood me up too. I will definitely call them first next time.

After 2 years, we have used EPHAE 3 different times. My mom's house is old, so we have used them to fix her AC, her heater and now some plumbing problems. They have been excellent each time. Very short turn around times. Extremely friendly and professional. For the toilet repairs, John came out within 2 hours. And had the problem fixed within 30 minutes. John was also extemrely personable and fun to talk to also. : )

I'm trying this new thing where I hire repair people from reviews on the internet. So far, so good. These guys were no exception. The woman on the phone was friendly and worked with my schedule.

Chandler was the person who helped find a suspicious leak in our basement. Very kind and knowledgeable. In the end it was a very, *very* loose water line from the fridge above on the main floor.

[I had fixed the fridge around the same time as the leak, but never put the two together. Jeez.]

He simply tightened up the water line and waived the service call fee (!). He also gave some great pointers on installing a garbage disposal; he must have gotten the DIY vibe from me because of the fridge thing (which obviously turned out *so* well...heh...). Of course, if it doesn't work out, you better believe I'm calling these guys to fix the problem.

Ask for Scott V! He came out promptly and diagnosed and fixed our leak as well as a water pressure issue. When it turned out to be a bigger job than we initially thought, he got it done quickly and could explain exactly WHY we needed to get it done. He was honest, personable, and knowledgeable. Just what I want in the people working on our house! Thanks!

My plumber, Allen Berg, was great to work with. He did a great job, and the problem is gone. He was friendly and was able to identify another problem we had going on. My only complaint is that it was a little pricey and I feel like the time and effort it took to fix the problem didn't accurately match up with the amount that they charged!
