I must say I was pleasantly surprised when Pat, the technician, showed up to my house. There are some really negative reviews on here but that was not our experience at all! We had a home warranty service call for our broken water heater with AHS and Expert Cooling and Heating was assigned to the job. They were quick to respond to the service call and were at my house two hours later! Pat showed up on time, was professional and friendly, and very knowledgeable. He explained everything that needed to be done. He told us he would report back to the home warranty company and we should know something within a couple of hours. We had a response in 15 minutes! We accepted the payments we needed to make because some of it wasn't covered under our home warranty, and the job was completed the next day. It could have been completed the same day but we needed to wait until the next day. Pat showed up the next morning at 8 AM and got the job done professionally and quickly. I could not be more happy with this service!

I'm not sure what other people are so upset about but perhaps their anger is misdirected, meaning that perhaps AHS did not be cover what they needed fixed and they are blaming Expert Cooling and Heating. I will definitely be hiring them again in the future.

The only thing I wish I would've been told is that there was quite a substantial bank fee attached to the invoice for using my credit card and I was not told that there would be a charge in advance. I would have written a check instead to avoid that fee.

American Home Shield sent this contractor to my house for my jetted tub repair. Jose came to my house and said the tile around my tub would need to be cut to get access to fix it. I told him I had an access panel on the side of the house and he said that was only for the motor. He said AHS would not cover the access panel work but he could cut it all very carefully because the tile I have is no longer made and he would insert an access panel. I wasn't happy about it because it wasn't going to look as nice but I wanted the jets fixed. They worked but the button wouldn't stay on, it would pop right back out after you let go. I said ok, let me know how much and i will pay for the access panel. i never head from him in a couple of weeks so my husband called him, he didn't answer or return the call. I called and two week later (now a month later) and asked if he was going to get me a price so we can schedule the access panel and he said he would call me back that day. Never head from him. Called AHS two weeks later and said this was going on for 1 1/2 months and I paid the $85.00 deductible and can't get Jose to call me and schedule. They tried calling and finally got a hold of him only for Jose to tell them he can't do the tile cutting! Now AHS said I had to find a contractor to cut the tile and then Jose could come back and do the work. I told them I don't want him back at my home, I don't trust him. I ended up finding a handyman to cut the tile and he said ""you don't need to cut the tile, the repair can be done from the access panel outside."" He showed my husband what part needed to be replaced through the outside access panel, my husband ordered the part, replaced it through the outside access panel and my tub works great! I almost spent a lot of money for no reason because he didn't know what he was talking about. I had to pay $85.00 to AHS, $135.00 to the 2nd contractor and then the cost of the parts for my husband to get the work done. Soooooooo frustrating to have someone not know what they are doing and cost you money! Don't use this company!!!! Expert my ass, they need to change their name!

GUS our tech came out to fix our toilet on the 2nd story of our home. We appreciate his professionalism and expediency. He explained the problem- took several pictures to document our leak and took pictures again after the repair. Jose at the call center worked with American Home Shield to coordinate a change in contractors and make it work for us.

Expert cooling and heating LLC never reached out to me within 48 hours as the Home Warranty company said they should do.

When they finally reached out to me 7 days later, I was greeted with directives and hostility, was put on hold and hung up on twice by Jose. He said he needed to come to my house today, and did not give me any other day/time options.

I asked Jose if he had a supervisor or manager I could speak to, and he said he doesn't have to answer my questions. Jose also said (before he hung up on me) that he does not have a boss as he's the technician (that is coming to my house) the manager and owner of this company.

After I confirmed who I was, I told him that I cannot be home till 2pm, and he would not acknowledge that. He indicated he may show up earlier than 2 anyway, despite me telling him that I needed after 2pm. I think that's reasonable considering he wants to come over the same day as he called me for the first time and never gave alternative days or times.

Despite having called me to my same number a few minutes prior, he then said that he doesn't know who I am, after I confirmed who I was, and he hung up on me. He knew who I was, but pretended not to for some reason. I'm assuming as it was because I was requesting he show up when I was available and he didn't want to acknowledge this.

Shortly after this, while I was working and could not answer, Jose called back and said he was someone else. He pretended like we hadn't just spoken and said he was coming over at 12pm and said he was going to come ""right now"", 2 hours prior to me being available. He called again while I was working and couldn't answer leaving another voicemail stating he's canceling the appointment due to me not answering his calls, while I was at work. This review follows.

My water heater was leaking and dying. I called Jose Saturday night , he picked up the phone and scheduled me in the next morning. He is very professional and organized. His work quality is amazing. If you have any plumbing issues José is your man, he is great communicator, reliable, on time , and his skills are impressive.

We have had Expert Cooling and Heating do several jobs for us. Every time, the work was done with a level of professionalism and expertise that seems uncommon in these times.
We had a water heater replaced, the manifold for the PEX water system replaced and a new water softener system installed. Each job, Jose took the time to explain what happened, why and how he would fix the problem. He gave us the best price we could find.
We have had a recurring problem with flooding in our kitchen and other companies just snaked the pipe for 30 feet and said done. (We had a Home Warranty that covered only that far, and no more. We have since cancelled that policy.) After 2 minor flooding problems over the holiday season, we called Expert again and Jose came out to snake the line and he found the problem that other companies did not find. It was a major problem going back to the builder and poor workmanship. Jose worked with our insurance company and was able to fix the problem. This was a very involved project. We could not live in our home for the entire time the work was being done. It is important to note that we have a post tension foundation (google that!) and he had to dig thru that for over 50 feet to replace the pipes. That kind of work calls for a level of expertise and knowledge that only comes with experience. That is the very definition of Expert Cooling and Heating and the owner, Jose! When the job was going on, we were kept informed and sent photos and video of each step in the process. We did go to our house and Jose took us through the steps they were working on, explaining what was happening and what was next. They did not break thru any walls, instead they went under. They covered everything with plastic and closed off areas they were not working in. When the job was complete, we knew we would have to put in new flooring and Jose made sure that was in the insurance estimate.
We know that we will not have any more issues with flooding. Expert Cooling and Heating is an amazing company to work with. We highly recommend them!!

we paid the $75 fee for them to visit the home and diagnose the issue and they said out water heater was fine and that it was just heating too many things therefore wasn't keeping the water hot... i knew that was WRONG so we called another place for a 2nd look and sure enough IT WAS WRONG... the pilot light won't stay on and there's something wrong with our water heater... SCAM OF A COMPANY, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

High quality work. Jose was a very Respectful and professional plumber to deal with. The work done in my shower was explained to me and made me feel very comfortable, especially after having a leak. Highly recommend him and his company to anyone.

**FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD **

Even 1 star is too much for this fraud company, This company was sent out from my home warranty company AHS for my water heater repair, the plumber didn't even diagnose the issue, all he did was take the pictures and left and the next day he sent me a quote of $680 saying i have some other additional repairs, I called my home warranty and they said they are happy to pay for the new water heater but not for the additional repairs. when i accepted and paid the $680 all they did was just replace couple of small pipes connected to the water heater which were already nice and in a working condition when i told the technician these are already good why you have to change he didn't have any answer and the worst part is the replaced water heater was an old one which is 2019 and when i asked why is it not the latest 2023 one he said don't worry about the date its a new one and wrote 2023 with a marker on the water heater. I didn't get a second opinion because i had guests at my house and there was no hot water so i had no choice. PLEASE BEWARE THEY ARE JUST FRAUD. GET A SECOND OPINION.

worst company to go through. when the technician came to my house he went into my bathroom and looked and said he he needed to find a clean out which my house doesnt have. I guess he took pics in my bathroom before he left and seen that I had wipes on my counter and when he left he said he would need to get auth to pull up the toilet . He wrote a report and said that I use wipes and they called my warranty company and they denied covering anything due to the report saying I use wipes . They didn't find any wipes they didn't even look for the clog. I called Jose and asked him why did he lie in the report and he said all he said was that I had wipes in my bathroom. Jose was rude from our very first conversation. I wish I would have looked at the reviews on this company before I paid my fee for them to come out. He wanted to talk over me and was very rude . I would never recommend this company. I wish I could give him negative reviews. I have a company here now charging me 260.00 and Jose said he was going to charge me 750 for the same work. Bad bad bad service and company!
