Terrible experience. Owners very rude. When I called office re: service appt the woman on the phone was also snotty. Weeks later plumbers finally show up and install shower fixtures. Very expensive for the amount of rudeness and disrespect you receive.
John O.Called them to service a clogged drain. They could not get the clog out and still charged me $300 for 2 hour labor. I called Roto rooter and they came with the correct equipment and did the job in 15 minutes. The owner of Excelsior was rude and hung up the phone.
Faith B.The receptionists are kind enough, but the owner Claudia was extremely rude when we called to discuss an issue we had with her company's work. See below:
Two men (Drew and Noah) came into install a pump and pipes going from our basement washing machine up to the main drain. They did a really quick job but in the process did not seal any of the PVC pipes together. A few days later we did laundry and one of the pipes comes loose spraying gallons of water all over the floor. We request someone to come in and see what's wrong - they sent a different person from their company, who was embarrassed, saying he can't believe they didn't seal the pipe connections at all. He luckily was very thorough and insisted we call the company about it.
We called to ensure they would not charge us for time the second guy had to come and fix the first guys' mistakes. But when we called Claudia was defensive and rude, and did not acknowledge that her men had made a mistake. We understand that mistakes happen but to be treated as such after we weren't at fault was worse than the mistake itself.
Additionally since that time our basement laundry room has flooded 4 times, twice for when they did not seal the pipes and had to come back twice to fix that. The other two from overflooding of the utility sink connected to the washer that they repiped. They did not add any sort of air valve or vent, which has caused the double sink to not drain properly at times/overflow. This shows either a lack of understanding of fluid dynamics, or a lack of care on this project.
In general the work looked clean, but was incomplete. I would recommend getting an estimate before any work is done. Their upcharge on parts, pipes, etc. seems very high compared to what I'm used to seeing and their invoices did not break them down at all. We did not have a good experience working with them and their whole organization process seemed off.
Drew & Liam were able to fix problems that have haunted us since our house was built. The knowledge of plumbing eclipsed others who had been here before. Their solutions looked clean and professional where in the past things ""kinda worked"". This will be our service going forward. They worked hard and kept the area clean and tidy. I highly recommend this company.
Jean K.We are new to Southampton. We had a great experience with plumber Jason Klein. We hired him to replace rusty valves (requested by our insurance company) and he reported that the valves were in good working order and needed no replacement. He could have easily taken us for a ride but was very honest and the charge was minimal. We will be using this company from now on for our plumbing needs.
Jinho O.Don't trust their warranty. Such terrible service. My hot water heater was only 1&1/2 year old broken. It was 6 years warranty. call them up and came to fixed. They tried here and there ordered parts this and that for 3 weeks. We had no hot water for 3 weeks. It was nightmare. I have 12 years daughter , 10 years son need to take shower everday. My wife has rheumatism can't deal with cold water .I explained them what kind situation we had but all they saying they're trying best as they can.I finally told them that had enough. I don't owe you and you don't owe me anything forget about it. Next day,They came with a brand new hot water heater. They would do anything besides install new one. They charged me $600 for that. What does make sense to have the warranty if you have to pay that much. I ask them nicely if it was too much. They said no.I think they have such bad business.
