This was one of the worst experiences I've had with a ""so called""expert. Before he began the trouble shooting, he led me to believe he was an expert in hot water repair and the fix would be approx an hour. Since he charged by the hour, I expressed my concern, since this incentivizes him to extend the fix timeline. He ultimately fixed the issue, but dragged it out over 2 days. In fact he left the site without fixing it only to charge me another $150 dispatching fee the next day. Ultimately he spent the majority of the time on the phone with the hot water customer service experts of the unit. When I challenged him on that, he walked backed his expertise. Stating he needed guidance from the manufacturer experts. Again he ultimately fixed the issue but I was paying for an expert not a person taking direction over the phone from an expert. He extended the fix timeline, which charged me more than purchasing a new hot water heater. I don't believe this to be intentional but I do not think he is an expert. When I expressed concern over the overcharging, he began to yell absurdities toward me, and followed it up with over 10 text messages ranting at me with absurdities. So much that I had to block him. I do not recommend this service and please use caution.

Had a leaking water heater pipe / issue with an expansion tank in a rental property, Rick went right out on Sunday afternoon, diagnosed the problem and was able to provide a temporary fix until the correct expansion tank could be ordered. I am sure he could have told me the water heater itself needed replacement and made a minor problem a very expensive fix. I thought his pricing was very fair, that he was honest and my tenant noted his kind demeanor and professionalism. Will call again!

If you want to pay 3X the money for your repairs, these are your guys!!!!!!
This morning I noticed a pinhole leak in a pipe near my hot water heater. I called at 9:30 and was told by the person that answered my call that I was going to be charged $125.00/hour for the repair and they would be here in a couple of hours. After waiting all morning and making another phone call, they finally arrived at 2:30. The main plumber made this comment...""I brought my friend who does electricity with me at no extra charge."" The main plumber made at least 10 trips up and down my staircase retrieving tools that any other plumber would have had with them in a single bag. After wearing out my stairs and about 15 minutes of actual work, this underhanded guy charged me $280. I was sick.
He tried to justify this outrageous charge with some crap about, ""You got two plumbers for the price of one, and you know it was kinda hard to get to it. I didn't charge you for the call out, just from the warehouse"". So the bold face lie about the $125/hr charge was just to get in our front door so they could rip us off. These knuckleheads were like Dumb and Dumber meets Cheech and Chong doing plumbing. We'll see if the repair holds.
Affordable Plumbing charged me $110 three months ago on a weekend no less to fix a similar pinhole in a different pipe about 8 inches away from this one.
Don't EVER use these guys.

Excellent PHM lives up to its name. We moved into a house with a lot of DIY failures and needed help sorting things out. Rick showed up when he said he would, did the work at a price that was more than reasonable and explained things as he went. He also didn't try to make a big job out of something that needed only a small adjustment. We'll have him back when we get to the next stage of our remodeling project.

We recently bought a house that was flipped, but have found that many things were done incorrectly, or not updated. That includes the plumbing. Our first sign was when we bought a washer and dryer and they could not install the washer because of the plumbing. We called Rick and he came out that day and spent several hours redoing the plumbing so we could use our washer. We called him back out a few weeks later when we were having problems with our thermostat and he was able to fix that that day as well. Rick does great work and we will be using him again when we redo our sink plumbing in the future.

He did terrible work. He did half ass work and had to be called often to come finish jobs. Whenever there were problems he would be impossible to get him to come back or hard to get in touch with him. He is super messy. He is overpriced and leaves his poor dog in his car at all his jobs with no food or water for hours on end. I would NEVER recommend anyone to ever use his services. My family and I learned our lesson as well as neighbor who used him as well on her flip. Beware!!

Rick came out on short notice, in terrible weather, on a holiday weekend- and did exactly what we needed for exactly what was quoted. Quick, efficient, friendly- we will definitely save his card and number so we can call him again if needed.

Rick cancelled 2 appointments and got very huffy with us on the phone when we asked if he would be willing to make an appointment for a time he could actually keep.

He sounds stoned on the phone most of the time when you talk to him, so I'm not surprised he can't keep his appointments straight.

Very unprofessional business. We would not use or recommend them.

The expectations for the cost of installing a new water heater was not clear. On site for 2 hours and Rick charged 2 hours for drive time. Rick didn't have the proper tools and supplies with him, but he charged an extra 30 minutes for having to drive to buy common caps and to put together a tool to test electricity. He then charged, for his second trip out the full rate of $850 for removal and installation of the water heater he had already removed.

Rick does not consider driving time, which he neglected to tell me he was charging, a trip charge. He's proud to say he doesn't have trip charges. The 2 hours of drive time amounts to $180. Splitting hairs?

Plumbers deserve to be paid for a tough profession, they should also be held to high honorable business practices.
