Leon O.Quick, efficient and good price. We had a tub that would not drain, as it turns out there were marbles that got in there accidentally. Would have never figured this out without excel Plumbing. Thanks . I highly recommend
Have used Excel multiple times, especially during the last big snow storm. The guys were very professional and very knowledgeable. I was afraid that, as it happens in situations like these, the folks would do the critical time-sensitive work first and bill me an unreasonable amount later. It was not the case here. I was quoted the work upfront and had time to decide. When they finished there were no surprises and all was done as expected. Impressive.
Larry K.I have used Excel a couple of times and thought that they were pretty good. But, I guess it all depends on which plumber they send over.
This week I had Excel come to quote an outside faucet repair. The plumber said that he couldn't turn the water off be house for fear of a gasket breaking due to a ""corroded"" valve. He said it would cost $495 to replace the valve and would take a few hours to repair. My town's public works official questioned this and advised I get second opinion.
The second plumber came in and just turned the valve with his hand as if nothing was wrong. No problem with valve he said, saving me the money and the pain of having to have the village come to shut the water off to the house.
Was Excel plumber taking advantage of a senior citizen?
Lenny E.I had Brian O. from Excel unclog my kitchen sink and the whole process went great--such a relief to have a sink again, ahh! Brian came when they said he would, diagnosed, got to work, fixed it, gave me some good advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future, and even explained what causes a situation like mine. I would use them again in a flash (hopefully I won't have to soon though). I called to make my appointment and that process went swimmingly as well.
Excellent company with a quick response after leaving a message on a Sunday. They arrived as scheduled the following day to check our plumbing issue in our kitchen. After viewing our problem Brian suggested we call our kitchen contractor to fix the problem. He admitted that they could damage our newly remodeled kitchen when fixing our leak. Wow, he was kind enough to be honest and didn't charge us for the call.
We had used Excel in the past when we had a broken sewer line going out of the house to the front yard. They worked quickly in terrible weather to determine what the sewer problem was and fixed it in a timely manner. Would recommend them for any of your plumbing needs!
Called for an estimate the gentleman showed up on time. The biggest problem I had is that he didn't understand what I wanted to do which a professional would have. Didn't take any information down and four days later I still have not received an email about the estimate. Unfortunately I will not recommend this place
To summarize my experience with Excel Plumbing, on at least 9 occasions over 3 weeks, employees said they would call me back, yet they never did. (The only one who consistently did was Mike.) Overall, the lack of communication, lack of follow through, and misinformation seemed unprofessional and left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. For more specific details, see below:
1/7/19- Plumbing issue started in our one and only shower. Technician came promptly in the morning to assess. 1/10- Was informed that the technician would come back on 1/11 and bring the shower part with him to install. 1/11- Got a text early in the morning saying the technician (John) was coming to replace shower part. Got a call about an hour later that he had truck issues and could not make it. Spoke with him on the phone about an hour after that, and he said the part, that he was supposedly bringing, would not be arriving until 1/18. He said he would come out that day to give an estimate on replacing the whole thing, and if we decided to do that, he would be able to complete that job the following day (1/12). As of 4 pm on 1/11, he did not come or call to say he was not coming. I called Excel and was told the technician got stuck on a big job and would not be coming. Excel said they would call me on 1/14, yet they never did. 1/18- Excel did not call to set up a follow-up appointment or to let me know if the shower part came in. 1/21- I found out that the part would not be arriving until 1/24. 1/24- Mike called to say a technician would come out on Saturday morning (1/26) with no extra fee to replace the shower part. 1/25- Received an email saying a technician would be at our home between 8-10 am on 1/26. 1/26- No one came or called by 10 am. When I called Excel, I was told the technician (Yury) got stuck on a job. He arrived around 1 pm. He said we needed a *different* part, so when he left, the shower still was not fixed. Technician, who seemed extremely professional, got the new part on 1/28 and fixed the shower on 1/29 - over 3 weeks after the problem arose. On 1/26 and 1/29, we asked the technician how much we owed, and he did not charge us. 1/30- Received two invoices from Excel. It was our understanding after talking with the technician on 1/29 that we did not owe anything, which seemed to correspond to the amount of $0 on the 1/30 invoice. Spoke with an employee in billing (Oksana) to clarify, and she said we had a balance. She said she would double check with the manager and technician and call me back. 1/31- No one from Excel called me back as of 2 pm on 1/31, so I called them. I was disconnected and did not receive a call back for almost 15 minutes.
Like hundreds of others, I had some frozen pipes in this record cold -- in my upstairs laundry! Fearing a burst pipe, I called Excel (I am a repeat customer) and Tom answered promptly and professionally. While they were slammed with calls, a few hours later, Tom was able to send a plumber. Thirty minutes in advance, Yuri, the plumber, sent me a text with his photo (nice touch!) and the office alerted me by both email and a phone call. Yuri got right to work on arrival and did not give up until he made major progress. I'm hoping it will continue to thaw without a major leak -- I am confident Yuri has increased the odds of that happening. I was really pleased with Yuri's professionalism and expertise. Before leaving, he also showed me how to turn off the water source, what to do over the next few days and, as a bonus, offered a great idea about adding some vents in my ceiling to get heated air into the space between floors where the frozen pipe is located. Another great service call by Excel!
Excellent service. Their technician Yuri is a genius. We had a plumbing issue that two other plumbers couldn't figure it out, but Yuri figured it out in 10 minutes. Great service, great price, and always prompt!! Would highly recommend Excel Plumbing to everyone!
I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Excel Plumbing, and their plumber (Yuri) are! I asked for a quote last night, or rather around one in the morning, and got a quote almost immediately. After a brief phone call today and appointment was made for a plumber to arrive between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. At a couple of minutes past two the doorbell rang. Yuri came up the stairs, introduced himself with great courtesy and friendliness and got to work immediately. Within half an hour the work was finished to perfection. The agreed on price was more than reasonable, and an electronic receipt was sent on the spot to my Email address. What a company! And what a great plumber!
