Updating my review. I usually had work done with Luke ( fantastic to work with!). However, a recent plumbing issue led me to work with Adrian. He was extremely knowledgeable with what needed to be done and I would definitely work with him, Luke or any other Excel plumber in the future!

I had an issue that needed to be resolved early on a Sunday. Maureen answered quickly, gave me an accurate quote and assigned Luke to come help me. I received a text with his information and picture, so I knew who was coming. He showed up as promised in an hour, was friendly and helpful. He solved our problem in an hour and walked me through long term solutions and options. This is my second experience with them and they continue to be a good partner for maintaining my home! Thank you, Maureen and Luke!

I will start this review by saying that the technicians that came to install my new water heater were SUPERB. They needed towels to clean up after themselves and I provided ( should those have been brought? -I'll let you answer that)

Now, to the meat of the reason why this review has only 2 stars. The angry person in me wants to give one but based on PRINCIPLE AND RESPECT I'm not going to give a trash rating just because I'm livid.

I purchased the water heater for $1750. My old water heater which needed to be lit by long stem lighter was not working and I asked if a tech could come out and spend 5 minutes to light it so that I could have hot water in my residence. I was told that they could ""walk me through the lighting process but nobody was available to come out""

I'd already scheduled the replacement of the old water heater for the new and yet that SMALL COURTESY WAS NOT PAID FORWARD! Instead, I got the aforementioned answer which I took as

""Hey, good luck playing with that gas knob, hope you don't blow your S$!& UP""

MESSAGE: IF SOMEONE IS A REPEAT CUSTOMER AND PAYING OVER A GRAND THEN TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE HOT WATER IS NOT A CHORE, ITS COURTESY AND RESPECT!!!!

There was NO RESPECT SHOWN, NO COMMON COURTESY!

The three stars are purely for my service techs who got the job done and did it fairly quickly and efficiently minus the whole towel debacle.

As for the business side, all I can say is that energy is reciprocated, do unto others as you'd like done. Etc etc etc. we ALL know how karma works and that respect is paramount. (At least that is something that was drilled into me as a kid so I expect we all know)

The reason for the minus of three stars, one name, MIKE. I called and told this guy my issue with COURTESY AND RESPECT not being paid forward and he did a little chuckle. A smug, foolhardy chuckle and said ""it's not that serious"". WELL MIKE, it is.

Repaired my leaky shower quick and easy and were competitive on price. Thought I may have to get behind the wall to replace the valve body but they were able to replace the carriage no problem. Very helpful, accommodative, and efficient.

Very disappointed in this company. I called them to fix a plumbing vent that was leaking through the ceiling in my kitchen. The first time someone came for an estimate, they told me to call a roofer. I called a roofer. The roofer told me it was definitely a plumbing problem. I called Excel back and another plumber came out to look. He told me it was going to cost over $1500 and they were going to need to take out a huge section of drywall to fix the problem.

I got a recommendation for another plumber in the area. It took this person 1 hour and cost a tenth of what Excel was trying to charge me.

It was as if they didn't want the job and told me an astronomical price to get rid of me.

We had a leak coming from the upstairs plumbing and called Excel. Luke texted with a picture when he was on his way, and showed up on time. He was able to figure out the main drain line was blocked causing water to back up. He was able to rod it and fix the problem! He also noticed our wax seal under the toilet was not sealed properly so he replaced that as well.

We really appreciated he wore a mask and shoe covers and also cleaned up the area when the work was done. Luke was very friendly and explained in detail what happened and how it was fixed. Thanks!

My water heater went out on new year's eve and I couldn't get it relit. I called a few plumbers and they all wanted to charge me an emergency fee of $200 to come out that day for an estimate. Excel was on-site for a FREE estimate within a few hours. The plumber (Dan) got our pilot light relit and didn't even charge us for it, just wrote up an estimate for a new heater. This earned them a customer for life!

We agreed that we wanted to replace the heater but wanted a few days to get through the new year. Turns out, life had other plans. Two days later it went out again. So, at 6pm on a Saturday I called Excel fully expecting to need to page someone after hours and be charged an emergency fee. To my surprise, someone picked up at the office on a weekend, and they were able to fit us in the next day (a Sunday) for no extra charge!

Luigi was on time the next day and took proper COVID precautions to make myself and my family feel safe during his install. There were some weird things with pipes that needed to be rerouted, but he took care of everything needed for the originally quoted price and was fast and efficient!

Excel plumbing has earned a customer for life in me. I can't recommend them enough!

Fantastic. I am extremely picky with my house and I want things done perfect. Excel sent Dennis over to go over all the work I am planning to do over the next 6 months and patiently explained everything (the issues, the process, the equipment). He emailed me an estimate shortly afterwards (including part numbers) and was really good at email communication back and forth.
For the first stage of my installs Mario came out and did a fantastic job. If I could name the single best thing he did it would be the fact that I was confident he knew exactly what he was doing and had more than enough experience to see the hidden issues in his work.
I am looking forward to the next round of work with Excel for my garage!
