I can't say anything good about this group. The first service person they sent didn't fix the problem and I had to call them again within two days of the service. He came again. Thought it was fixed. It wasn't. Finally, distraught, I called another plumber for whom I had a recommendation and he fixed it - the first time, for less than the bill from Excel. I contacted Excel with my story and asked if they could at least help me pay the bill from the second man - whose work worked! No way! They could do nothing for me. All they would begrudgingly say was they'd give me $100 off my next call to them. ""Hah! Why would I ever call you again!"" Their service was of no use and I paid $450 for it!

MAX from Excel Plumbing is a ""Plumbing Professional-Expert"" who is extremely knowledgeable, detailed and methodical!

This is the first time I've used Excel Plumbing. Prior I've used DRF for 14. DRF installed an injector pump on the lower level and never sealed the lid. Gasses have been floating for years, however I never knew and thought it was my damn cat! NOT!

Max came in and assessed the issue and rectified it immediately. That said, and due to his professionalism and being so knowledgeable, I'm going to schedule to have all 4 toilets, shut off valve, etc... all replaced.

The BEST service.

Outstanding service. Called late at night and got an immediate response back. Scheduled an appt for the following morning (at our request). Excellent work at reasonable price. Immediately after he left we realized we had forgotten to ask about another issue. I called and the plumber returned within minutes and fixed the other issue.

i called for an estimate on a fairly big project and was setting everything up when they started speaking about payments... and i verify just to come out and give me an estimate if you can even do the project and they said yes that is correct... since when is there a cost to for an estimate?

Interesting interaction with this company last week that I trust can help you save at least $30. This company is not trustworthy and uses a business practice that is borderline unethical. I called and worked with 6 plumbers on a recent project in my rental property involving a routine installation of a faucet and sink. The person on the phone said they could not quote the price on the phone but when pressed gave me a quote for a normal installation that was in line with the others I had received. The plumber showed up, he was fine, nice enough guy, and gave me an official quote that was over 3 times what was quoted on the phone. To be fair, the price on the phone was a ""ballpark and cannot give you the exact price without seeing it"" but the plumber that came on site used an app that was literally click a button and the price came up. They can quote everything from anywhere but choose not to so the can show up and gouge you with a high price. Again, the pricing was over 3 times the soft quote and over 3 times what 4 of the other plumbers quoted and what I paid. This is taking advantage of people because I am sure most people go with the plumber that shows up because of an immediate need and ""they are here, so we might as well..."". Be aware of this strategy as it will cost you a lot of money.

I have been a customer for a few years using Excel several times. Each time they were prompt in showing for the appointment. However, when it comes to fixing things, they seem to only want to fix the easy and fast money makers. I have Kohler fixtures which seem to be a bit more complicated and Excel doesn't seem to have any parts for them. So, they tell me, they will order the parts and get back to me. One months later, I call them because I didn't hear from them. The receptionist tells me she is going to ask the plumber who worked on our home and get back to me. Another month goes by, I call again. The receptionist, Natalya, tells me that she heard them talking about ordering the Kohler parts, so, she knows they've been working on it
( she must think I'm a moron). But, she will find out and call me back at the end of the day. Good thing I wasn't holding my breath! I actually told her that if they couldn't do the job, let me know and I will find someone else. She reassured me that that was not the case. One would think that this was an oversight or bad organization but this has now happened for two different situations. I will have to now say that this is the way Excel does business. I'll be looking for another plumber. I didn't think Kohler products were so unusual that a plumbing company couldn't handle fixing it.


Follow up: Yes, it is true, they have contacted me numerous times after they sent a guy out to give me a ridiculously high quote. After that, I found another plumber to do the job. He wasn't afraid of the Kohler products and didn't make a big stink out of fixing it. Plus, his price was reasonable. As I recall, I spoke to you about having found another plumber, but you kept calling and I already moved on. Too bad you weren't as persistent in the beginning.

They were responsive and came out the day I called. The plumber was polite and courteous and removed the clog quickly and efficiently. While he did quote the price before beginning the work, do your homework, know what you're willing to pay, and be prepared to negotiate before work begins.
