Luis Arechiga, owner of Excalibur is an outstanding plumber. Luis is honest, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I called him about a clogged toilet on the weekend. He came out on a Sunday morning, and was able to unclog the toilet. He was very reasonable and honest. I have been charged over double what he charged me. I appreciated his honesty. He then told me that part of the reason that every 6 months or so the toilet gets clogged is due to the roots from the trees/plants that get into the sewer pipe and showed me exactly what was happening on a camera. He told me that this was not something that needed to be repaired now. I asked him how this can be fixed? Luis explained that the lateral sewer line would eventually someday need to be replaced. Now, it is a requirement in Alameda County for this to be done eventually and it is required if you ever decide to sell your home. After some thought, I decided to go ahead and have Luis replace the lateral sewer line because I trusted him. He was open and honest with me and I appreciated his honesty. Luis and his crew took care of everything from calling PG&E to ensure that it was OK to dig in that area, to filing the permit with Alameda County, and also with Waste Management when the project was completed. Luis took the time to explain what he was going to do, how he was going to do it, and showed me the pipe he would install. The pipe is very durable and will definitely last 30+ years. Luis and his crew were professional, knowledgeable, neat, responsible, dependable, and reliable. I appreciate the job that Luis and his TEAM did and would highly recommend them. Very professional plumbers. We needed our line from the clean out to the street to be snaked as roots keep growing in. They have been the most thorough plumbers we have used. Their equipment looked a lot newer too. He showed me with the camera where exactly our issues are.

Luis came and saved the day! I submitted an inquiry to multiple plumbers through yelp and Luis was one of the first ones to respond. Some of the other plumbers couldn't make it out until the next day or required a fee to come and evaluate the issue but Luis said, I'll be there in 15 minutes. And he was. He was nice, funny, and walked us through the whole process. I would definitely hire him again.

We called Luis when our new home's toilet was leaking from the bottom. Within 15 minutes he was at our doorstep investigating the problem. Luis and his partner were extremely friendly and knowledgable. They quickly found the cause of the problem (pipe clog) and worked hard to resolve it. It definitely was a tough job, but they were in and out in a couple hours. How did 3 pine cones ended up in our lines? No clue.. We are SO thankful for Excalibur. We had them come to re-pipe our 67 year old home. They did an outstanding job. They also replaced the faucets in my kitchen and in our main bathroom. I woke up this morning to a leaking water heater. I contacted Luis. He almost immediately responded and asked me to text a couple of pictures of the water heater to him. After seeing them, he texted me an estimate. Other companies said they needed to come out to give me an estimate. By 2:45 Luis and his crew were putting in the new unit. Works great. They cleaned things up, even picking a leaf off my driveway as they left. I recommend them!
