The sewer of our 80 years old house was beginning to fail and we needed someone to put in a new sewer right away. I called 4 different companies for an estimate. Darin from Evergreen Plumbing and Mechanical was the only person to come up with a solution that would not involve cutting down trees, digging up four driveways, and closing the street. Our old sewer went through two neighbors' yards. Darin contacted the neighbors to get their approval to do the sewer work in their yards so we could use the existing trench line. With the neighbors Ok, Darin worked with the city to get approval, also. He and his crew came out the next week, dug up the old sewer and replaced in within a couple of days. Not only did Darin replace the sewer, he and his crew installed a pump in the basement so the bathroom down there was usable. Everything was done expertly and on time. Evergreen did an excellent job cleaning up, too.
Tasha H.I called Evergreen a couple of months ago because of a corroded, leaky pipe in the basement. Peter came by, gave me an estimate that seemed reasonable, and did the work quickly and efficiently. This was no small feat given the weird crawl spaces in my basement, that he had to crawl into in order to replace some pipes. Somehow he was amazingly cheerful about this! Of course, given my 1890 house, fixing that pipe uncovered a clog further along in the pipes that was stopping up my sink. So today James and Mason came out, cleaned it all out, showed me what the pipes look like on their very cool camera device, and now everything works like a charm. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and the estimates accurately reflected the final cost.
All along, everyone I dealt with was great, from Marcus on the phone setting up the appointments, to Peter/James/Mason doing the work at the house. They were friendly, professional, explained everything, left everything neat and took care of the small details, and were very nice to and amused by my dog, who was doing his best to ""help"" their efforts. Haha, ""help."" Overall, this is now my only go-to place for plumbing/drainage problems - which are likely to be a recurring thing given the age of my house. I forget which other maintenance person recommended them, but I'm glad they did. I've had leaking pipes in the past where the leak was so bad that the water had to be shut entirely off, and the companies I dealt with then could never tell me anything more than ""well, we're really busy, we MIGHT be able to get out there next week"" etc. It was always nerve-wracking, calling different places to see which ones could come out first. I can't imagine that being an issue with Evergreen, given how prompt they've always been.
Kerry P.Last night I called Evergreen to schedule an appointment to fix my clogged kitchen sink drain. Not only was the sink clogged, it backed up into the washer overflow flooding the laundry room...ugh. In spite of this, I said that my need wasn't an emergency, so the next day would be fine. Someone called me first thing today to schedule the visit. Would between 10:30 and 11:30 work? Well yes indeed it would. I was then told that the plumber would be James (aka Jamie).
Jamie called a few minutes before his scheduled time just to say that he was on his way.
Jamie diagnosed the issue quickly, and set to work. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and finished in just under an hour. Very reasonable and a heck of a nice guy!
Jamie then let me know that the pipes were old, showed me where they had improperly installed and left a comprehensive bid to replace them.
I couldn't be happier with Evergreen-everyone was courteous and helpful! Thank you!
RedLeaf W.I just called to see if this plumber could be a vendor for me and my portfolio of properties. Their outgoing message said to press a number if I was a new client, so I did. I was about to hang up after 7 or 8 rings when the call was answered. The person who answered asked me if I was an existing client. When I said no, she tersely stated ""I need to keep this line open for current clients"" and hung up on me. Very poor response and now I will tell the world how bad my experience. Thanks for nothing.
Sheryl M.Peter with Evergreen Plumbing did a great job for us replacing kitchen, bathroom, shower and tub hardware and faucets! From start to finish very pleasant experience and gave us lots of options. Scheduled just a couple days out and got everything done quickly! Will definitely use Evergreen Plumbing again in the future! Thank you Peter!
I would give this company 10 stars if they had that rating. I got 4 estimates from smaller plumbing companies.... and surprisingly, it was one of the other plumbing companies, who said, your job is pretty involved and detailed, and is going to need a very experienced, largere company. He recommended Evergreen. ( that was Shane at Up-A Creek plumbing, so thanks for his honesty on that. ) I could not speak more highly of Evergreen. Their workmen are highly skilled. They are very professional in their work. This was a much older house, with a mess of plumbing pipes in the basement area. They were able to remove copper pipes, galvanized pipes, and old connections with tape on them, to a sleek plumbing system attached to t he ceiling. That day i noticed that the hot water was faster; the ""hammering"" in the pipes stopped, and everything worked perfectly. I called them back because there was one condensation line that they went to the furnace, which should have been an extra charge. They came the next morning, and fixed a few other things like this, without charge. You will not be disappointed with their work. highly recommend them.
Kevin S.Great company to work with, I would definitely refer Evergreen Plumbing.
I used evergreen plumbing to repair a broken pipe for my bathtub. Dave the technician was prompt, professional, and did the repair in a timely manner.
The reason for my 2 star rating was that evergreen recently changed their pricing from time and materials to a per job pricing. Before Dave even opened up the wall to determine the problem, he played on his phone looking for a random repair item to give me a price. I could tell he randomly picked the one he did. He gave me a price. Not being a plumber I assumed the price he gave me would be reasonable for the job, so I agreed.
The job took 1-1/2 hours with minimal materials. It worked out to over $260/ hour! I spoke with the office and they would not budge saying I agreed to the price. I was at a huge disadvantage and trusted evergreen to charge me reasonably.
I feel I was taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge and evergreeens new pricing.
I was not treated fairly, I will go elsewhere with my business.
$302.82 per hour. $645 to R&R a urinal and snake the drain line. 2.13hr . Called and spoke to Able. Apparently, the work was ""above and beyond..."". No, it wasn't. Easy access, clean environment, scheduled 24 hours in advance. I repeat, 2.13hrs , $645.00. It now leaks at the service coupling. I will return to Patriot Plumbing.
The owner personally returned and made it 'right'. Thank you.
Sara H.I'm out $2,000 because of this experience. We hired Evergreen and expected an incredible experience, they were the only company in the near vicinity willing to work with the warranty contract. We payed for the services, and the warranty company would reimburse us once the plumber provided the reason for failure details. We have left several messages and made attempts to contact evergreen, I just needed an email and I could deal with the warranty reimbursement process. It was a very unfortunate experience.
