I called Evans Plumbing to install my new garbage disposal. The job was done satisfactorily with no leaks. When it was time to pay the bill, it went from the 1-hour price of $135 to $195. When I asked the employee why the increase, he mumbled something about the time they called to let me know they were coming is when the clock began. This was about 20 minutes or so before the hour, and that's when the time was to start. The time they finished was 12 minutes after the next hour. I was never told that their time starts when they call me to let me know they're on their way. When I asked for an itemized statement, I was ignored. This is called ""lying by omission.""

I called about a fairly noticeable leak and realized we needed a new gas water heater installation. The manager, Dave, called me that evening after looking at the pictures I sent him. He gave me a very reasonable estimate, in fact, several hundred dollars lower than 4 other plumbing companies I contacted. He could tell by the photos I sent him that there were a few new items & changes that needed to be put into place to bring the new water heater up to current code. He then scheduled someone to be here at 9:30 a.m. the next morning.

The plumber who showed up, David, was very polite and was following Covid guidelines with wearing a mask and social distancing. He had to work in a rather tight space within our laundry Room and add to make a couple of runs to get some items he did not have on the truck. but he said there would be no charge for the time that he was away from the job. He was very careful in his work and cleaned up everything. I did have to help him move the dryer out of the laundry room so we could have enough room for the new water heater which was a bit bigger than the old water heater. He also had to re-adjust some pipes in the wall and so he cut through the dry wall to do so but made sure the wall was was properly patched re-sealed and looking good. He cleaned up and took all garbage with him. I was honestly VERY impressed. When I received the bill, I expected it to be on the higher end of the estimate he had quoted me, but to my surprise, it was $25.00 lower than his estimated quote!

I would highly recommend Evans Plumbing Inc. and I know that when I need plumbing services in the future I will be calling Evan's Plumbing! Also, the office staff who answered my call and whom I spoke with to pay my bill, were each so friendly and answered my questions in a kind and knowledgeable fashion.

There are so many issues I do not have enough space in the box to go into details. By far the worst plumbing company ever! I was verbally quoted $800 for the purchase and installation. When I received my invoice it was $2436.53, after I called and spoke with the finance they dropped it to $1451.86, still NOT $800 like I was quoted. The shower has been leaking and completely ruined the flooring and started falling off the wall after 3 weeks of being installed. The service manager came to the house and said the shower was sub-standard and needed to be removed, They said they would put in a different one but is was going to cost us more on top of what we owed for the broken one and what they had already billed out. This was the worst experience with a plumbing contractor, I would never recommend to anyone and would tell people to STAY AWAY from this company. We also had them put in a kitchen sink that we had pre purchased with all of the materials that matched, the service man decided to switch the strainers to not only a different brand but a different color because he said the ones we bought he guaranteed they would leak, well guess what they ones he put in LEAK and ruined my brand new kitchen sink.

Technician showed up on time and was friendly. Overall their hourly rate isn't bad, but they will ream you on parts. I called because of a shower that had no hot water pressure. Tech listed 2 parts replaced and for what they charged I could have had the tech sit in his van while I drove into town to buy the parts and still would have come out cheaper. They charged triple what Home Depot charges for the part. For this reason I give them 2 stars and would not recommend or if you do use them question them on parts and don't let them just replace.
