With more than 54 years of experience, we focus on developing commercial HVAC systems and plumbing systems. We are experts in assisting mechanical contractors with the necessary drawings to secure permits from municipal authorities. Located in Kent, WA, we humbly operate with a team of four dedicated employees. In business for 12 years, we have built a solid reputation.

Jim Evans, a seasoned mechanical engineer, retired in 2011 from the field of. Seeking a new challenge, he returned to his passion for HVAC and plumbing design by launching his business in 2013.

He identified a gap in the mechanical design-build sector, as many mechanical contractors do not have a full-time mechanical engineer on staff. Evans-Cromwell, LLC fills that gap, providing the services needed to prepare drawings for contractors to obtain their building permits.

Completing his degree from the University in 1964, Jim began his career with the Austin Company in California, where he mastered the art of large-scale design-build. He then joined Fluor Corp. in California, where he focused on piping design for refineries globally. He also worked on specialized exhaust systems for volatile gases and HVAC systems for refinery offices. Moving to the commercial sector in Washington state in the early '90s, we are experts in HVAC system design, including rooftop units, duct systems, humidification, and the application of DOAS systems for various commercial buildings.
