Our specialty in assisting mechanical contractors with the essential drawings to secure permits from local authorities. Situated in Kent, WA, we humbly operate with a team of a small team of four dedicated employees. Established for 12 years, we have built a solid reputation.

Jim Evans, a veteran in mechanical engineering, retired in 2011 from the field of. Seeking a new challenge, he decided to pursue his passion for HVAC and plumbing design by opening his business in 2013.

Jim recognized a gap in the mechanical design-build sector, as many mechanical contractors do not have a full-time mechanical engineer on staff. Evans-Cromwell, LLC fills that gap, providing the support needed to prepare drawings for contractors to get their building permits.

Earning his degree from the University in 1964, Jim began his career with the Austin Company in California, where he honed the art of large-scale design-build. After that, he joined Fluor Corp. in California, where he focused on piping design for refineries globally. He also worked on specialized exhaust systems for explosive gases and HVAC systems for refinery offices. Transitioning to the commercial sector in Washington state in the early '90s, we focus on HVAC system design, including rooftop units, duct systems, humidification, and the application of DOAS systems for various commercial buildings.
