Stressed out with plumbing issue? We're not, we have an excellent dependable plumber, Jason with ETC Plumbing. ETC was our contractor with construction, so we have had very little plumbing problems in the house, except for the normal wear and tear and maintenance. We've had a few repair issues this year, and Jason was there, on time, with a big smile and great attitude. He fixes things very quickly, always asks if there is anything else he can look at to maximize his charges. Having dependable plumbing is necessary for a good night's sleep. We like the fact that they will bill through email for their charges and they are very reasonable.

Installed on-demand hot water heaters at our house without installing the drain mechanisms. (We were unaware that there were supposed to be drains until they stopped working and we had another company look at them.) We notified Etc Plumbing and they refused to correct their mistake. As a result, we now have to pay another plumber $900 to fix them. We would have happily offered to pay Etc something for their time to repair them, even though this was their error. And, of course, being a Realtor and property manager, I would have happily used them on my rental properties and referred my clients to them. Instead, they get this Yelp review.

ETC Plumbing completed the plumbing for our house when it was built back in 2007. We have used them for a variety of plumbing issues over the years. Until this last visit, I had been fairly pleased with their work. Last week, I was billed by email for the service call. I found that the bill was padded with extra time that the plumber was not on site at my house, I was also charged a $100.00 for use of their camera to identify the blockage in the drain, and then was charged for 2 visits. In my mind the camera should have been used on the first visit which would have prevented a return visit. If you want to pay MORE for service than you should have to, then call ETC Plumbing. The charges are just billed by some sort of guess work as well. I was told that the camera costs over 2K so that is why it cost me 100.00. I am sure that ETC has paid for that one camera multiple times. There are so many plumbing companies in Austin, you will do better to find someone else who won't rip you off!!!
