I used to rely on Estes for dependable (if somewhat pricey) HVAC installation and service. Not any more! They are still pricey but my experiences over the past four years have been TERRIBLE. They installed a complete new high-efficiency system for me (heat pump with auxiliary furnace) about four years ago. The following year, the furnace began to refuse to come on. Since then, they have been out three or four times and I have spent maybe $1500 on calls, repairs, and two new thermostats. I finally called someone else (Rohan at HVAC Guyz). It turns out that the furnace has a signal code, and this code clearly indicates that the problem is that the pressure switch is interrupting the furnace and causing it to cut out. I mean, all you have to do is look at a blinking light you can see from the front of the furnace and check the manual, to see what is wrong. $1500 just flushed down the drain, because the expensive Estes repair people didn't know the basics of how to diagnose and fix the problem. And it gets worse. It seems that the root cause of the problem is that the new system, being high-efficiency, needs more exhaust venting than an old, lower-efficiency system. So I replaced the switch (at a reasonable price!) with Rohan's warning that it might not fix the problem. My recommendation: Do NOT use Estes repair and maintenance service. And although the sales and installation are not as totally incompetent as the repair service, I would NOT use Estes for new installation.

We purchased a new gas furnace/HVAC unit from Estes Services. Jered and Carlos arrived as scheduled and installed the unit. It appears they did a very good job. The installation took less time than expected. The unit looks great. They left a clean, orderly area. They were pleasant. It's been about a week since the unit was installed. It continues to operate as designed.

Clogged kitchen sink. They came out and fixed the problem with a drain snake. So, good news? Problem solved. The bad news is they did not tell us what it would cost in advance, it took about 30 minutes and cost over $300! We called to complain but they didn't care very much. Live and learn. Next time I'll call around and price check.

Had an emergency plumbing job in the kitchen the very day of a planned dinner party. This was on a Saturday. Estes was prompt and professional and installed a new faucet. They even had to come back out again that day to replace a pipe under the sink. Estes came recommended to me by a neighbor, and now I agree with her - they are one of the best with solid pricing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! And this is why: In July 2018 we contacted Estes to replace our Heating and Air Conditioner unit in our home. The sales representative (Sam Rhone) assured us that they will install a brand new system for $9200 so we agreed to have the system replaced. In October 2018 the weather changed so we try to cut on the heat but it did not work. We called Estes out to fix the system and after fours ours we were told that we needed a new zone board and it would cost and additional $1500. I asked him why they didn't install a new zone board in July when they install the new system. Sam said that the zone board from the old system was still working so they did not replace it. I am a disabled veteran on an fixed income and now I have to struggle and pay this company that used old parts on my new system. There is an a lack of integrity and honesty with this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Do what they say, but less professional and more expensive than expected. They spent more time trying to figure out how much I knew about my toilet than repairing the toilet I asked them to fix, but they fixed it after some fuss and irrelevant conversation about my own plumbing skills lol. I called a plumber, clearly I'm not capable, else I wouldn't have called - why did I have to do that dance lol.

I've had pretty good experiences with Estes. I live in a condo and have very little HVAC knowledge. My old unit was 22 years old, so needless to say they'd usually have to come out a few times a year. Each time there was an issue, the technician would explain to me the problem and sometimes even teach me how to fix it moving forward so I didn't need to call them again. They also seem very honest - I've had other technicians come and tell me I need a $500 fix, whereas Estes recognizes this isn't my forever home and will just patch up something to keep it going a few more years. I recently had to get a new unit and Estes worked with me to provide competitive pricing and even went a few hundred dollars cheaper than my other estimates. Once I purchased, Jered M. and Carlos did an excellent job installing! The only reason I do not give 5 stars is because on one occasion, they told me they'd be out between 12-5 and they showed up around 6:30-7. Not the end of the world but was inconvenient as I had a function that night at 8.

I am a long time HVAC and plumbing customer and this is the first time I used the electrical service. VERY pleased with the quality and prompt service. I had several odd jobs and Jonathan C. was outstanding. Very good work and he was such a gentleman. A pleasure to have in my home and the work was done well and in a timely manner. Thank you Jonathan!

The Estes technician said he would call me when he arrived at my condo. I was in the bathroom when he called, but I returned the call two minutes later. He said, he had already left my complex to go to the next job ... no message, no notice. When he had to come back, he took his impatience out on me. Maybe that was why he charged me $170/lb. for Freon (I have an older unit). I know the market for this stuff is high right now, and being phased out, but Estes took advantage of my bad situation (this happened in mid July) and raked me over the coals! I've since called other AC companies, and the highest quoted price on Freon was $130/lb. NEVER AGAIN!!!

on 7/18/2018 the team of marcus&r j replace my old furnace and replace it with a carrier system. they work well together. as knew what they duties was. great job done. mary c.
