Wow - finally found a Handy Man service that doesn't rip you off! I had two jobs that I needed done. One, was to change out the front door handle - sounds easy but with the new handle, you had to drill a hole in the door & I did NOT want to be responsible for drilling this hole in case I got it wrong or worse - I cracked the door. The other job was to affix a TP holder that needed anchors. I was given an estimate of 1-2 hours, but Armando did everything in 40 minutes!

I definitely recommend this company!

I'm very disappointed with the quality of work from Essential Home Services. My uncle decided to hire help to install my mirrored closet sliding doors while I was out of town as a surprise but it's hard to not feel disappointed.

The doors are crooked and do not slide smoothly.

My uncle says they spent an extra half hour trying to adjust the door when he complained but they couldn't get it right. They insisted it was metal shavings in the track and that it needs to be greased. I disagree since my other six closet doors I installed last year are the same brand and slide easily.

I removed the doors and very quickly realized they did not follow instructions. There is a half page insert that says to mount the lower track 5/8"" inside the frame, only the top track should be flush. They mounted both tracks flush with the frame which is causing the problem. Further, they never adjusted the height on the wheels so there is an angle of space between the door and frame. I'm sure this 60 second adjustment never happened because the shipping tape hadn't even been removed from the adjustable wheels (as per the instructions). This is a very common type of door...it must be the first set of sliding closet doors they ever installed??

The protective plastic wrapping on the doors was hastily removed with residue and plastic left on the bottom (see photos) and the white plastic parts which fit into the top track were damaged during the botched install.

This will take more time to fix than doing the install myself would have. I don't understand how a professional contractor would not be able to correctly install closet doors, it's a very simple job.

I work as a bookkeeper and figured this out in 15 minutes...shame on you!!! Next!

Heath has replaced our garbage disposal, painted the interior, created a ""window"" in the dining room wall, installed a security screen, flushed our hot water heater, installed various ceiling fans inside and out, erected a screen on the patio to keep golf balls away, changed door locks, and replaced several faucets. He is our go to handyman for all things essential! Heath's prices are very reasonable, and his employees are always professional and courteous.
