I paid Lowe's $399 to install a new toilet. They contracted to Angi, who assigned this job to Escamilla (July 2023). The installer arrived at my place and charged me $200 for toilet pickup (from the Lowe's location) and $185 for installation -- this is on top of what they were paid by Angi. I essentially had to pay double the amount it should cost reasonably to get a toilet installed.

I could not get through to Angi at the time and later when I was able to talk to them on the phone they stated that the installer is not allowed to charge any additional amount without getting approval from Angi first. Their contract with Angi clearly includes pickup from the store and definitely doesn't envision an additional installation charge to be tacked on at the day of service.

It's clear that this business will fleece their customers any chance they get.

Excellent service and communication from Escamilla Plumbing & Rooter from start to finish. Gustavo quickly diagnosed a sink leak and repaired/replaced same day. I truly appreciate Gustavo's attention to detail and excellent communication. He is very professional and stands behind his work. I would absolutely recommend Escamilla Plumbing.
