I, admittedly, am not a plumber! I *attempted* to replace my kids faucets in their bathroom today... I figured ""how hard can it be?"" Famous last words... Long story short, I ended up needing to replace the 30 yr old shutoff valves as well because they are old as heck and snapped when I tried to install the faucet to them.

I also discovered the shoddy work on the drain on my son's sink.

All this led to a recreation of ""The Poseidon Adventure"" in my upstairs bathroom and I had to shut off the main.

I called Ernie's and they were very polite on the phone and sympathetic. Unfortunately it was past 6pm on a Saturday so I had to pay the ""Emergency Rate"" which was worth it for me since I didn't want to flood my house.

They sent Jose Ramirez and he got to my house exactly when they told me. He was very prompt, efficient and was very professional. He fixed the faucets and my drain all in about an hour and 15 minutes!

They were great and I will keep their number on my fridge for future jobs... Hopefully no more emergencies. I'm gonna stick to my day job and let the pros handle the plumbing!

A non-urgent call for plumbing problem brought a gentleman from
the Martinez office. He solved the problem and took care of it in
15 minutes and charged us $190. He also advised me that we needed
a new toilet which he could instal for $900. A little research showed
that the part of the price allocated to the new toilet itself was much
higher than all similar toilets at places like Home Depot. Suffice to
say that I declined his offer. I will be looking for a different service
in the future (and will ask how much a visit costs for a less than an
hour's help.

I called around for a long time to see where I can get service from a plumber within a couple of hours. Austin from Ernie's Plumbing service fixed my hot water heater in less than an hour. That's really great service. I would recommend Ernie's plumbing service to others in need for fast reliable service.
