Our family has used Erling Rohde Plumbing for years! We still own our parents' midcentury house but none of us live in town. We call Erling Rohde when the tenant notices a problem; they come out promptly and do a thorough job, always leaving a neat work-site. When we needed more work (installing a new whole house shut-off and water pressure regulator) we trusted their advice on where to locate the valve (and they brought a guy to dig the trench, so we weren't paying plumber prices for that part of the job) . Any plumbing problem, large or small, we always feel confident that Erling Rohde has our best interest at heart.

Called this morning with a plumbing emergency and Manuel showed up within 30 minutes. PHEW!!! He fixed the issue in under 10 minutes and the bill was fair especially since no other big fancy drain service company was available until the following day. Great job Manuel! I highly recommend Erling Rohde.

These guys totally saved the day! My husband tried to fix a plumbing issue in the bathtub but was unsuccessful in the attempt. Actually, he kind of made it worse..... but Mike & Juan fixed everything quickly & discretely and for $80!!! Nice! I was pregnant and had houseguests en route with a clogged drain. They were really reliable and fast for a simple problem.

My recent experience with this company was terrible. The person they sent over did not fix anything and wanted to charge us over one hundred dollars. He was only there for one hour and wanted to charge us a hour and a half. All he did was call hoa to stop the water and rest for the rest of the time. We ended up paying over eighty dollars for nothing.

Erling Rohde Plumbing has been doing the plumbing in our house since long before we moved in, and for us as owners, for over 50 years. We even found Grandfather Rohde's signature on the back of an old sink, from some time in the early 1920's.

They really understand old houses, and have kept things up and running all these years. Reliable, competent, and friendly, and we highly recommend them. We are confident that their prices are fair, and their workmanship is great.

Erling Rodhe Plumbing definitely give plumbers a good name!
They certainly know what they are doing!
I called into Erling Rodhe because we had a few toilets backing up, and a leaky bathtub faucet. We got an appointment scheduled right away- same day, and ALL our repairs were done in record time! In and out! They certainly know their stuff... and I guess they should after being in business since 1910! :-)
The serviceman was friendly, professional and FAST... and the best part... He left the place cleaner than when he arrived! LOL.
It's so nice to have a ""go-to"" plumber now- I will use them from now on and I highly recommend their services.
PS: Oh- The price was right too! I called around to quite a few places and they were about the same as everyone else- and less than a few.

I would recommend Erling Rohde Plumbing because of all the work they have done at my house for over 20 plus years. They have done many jobs at my house, everything from fixing simple faucet leaks to more complex jobs such as repairing a blue line leak, installing a clean out and fixing a leak due to a broken pipe damaged by a large tree root.

Because Erling Rohde Plumbing has been consistently honest and trustworthy working at my house, my elderly Mother has also utilized their services. Most recently, my Mother hired Erling Rohde to work at her home because SDG&E determined there was a gas leak that needed repairs done by a plumber. SDG&E turned off the gas until such repairs were successfully and timely completed by Erling Rohde Plumbing.

Her house was built in the 40's and SDG&E determined the the gas line into the house had to be fixed /rerouted to the standards of current city code. The men at Erling Rohde Plumbing understood exactly what the city required. The plumbers obtained the necessary city permit for the work and arranged for the inspection with the city so that SDG&E could turn the gas back on to the house as soon as possible. Due to the knowledge, plumbing skills and competency of the men at Erling Rohde Plumbing, their work on the gas line passed the city code inspection.

I hate to give a negative review of anyone -but my recent experience was just awful. It took over a week, 3 trips to my house and 7 hours of labor just to fix a leaky tub. Never again!!!

Erling Rohde Plumbing is a joke. They did not provide anything in writing even when it was requested nor was the 3 options ever discussed. This guy responded to my 1st review and the only thing actually truthful was the price. No options were given by the guy that showed up to do the work. I matched all products that were replaced by their worker as the old parts were requested to be left, for me to examine. I guess this actually upset the guy that did the work as he had to be asked multiple times to leave the parts. I found them all available at the Home Depot and the total cost would have been just under $50.00, not 168.00. Only now does he talk about 3 options 2 never existed prior to the work being done. Had I been here I definitely would not have allowed this company to rip off a 102 year old woman like they did.

As for 106 years in business I am sure the original founders would not be proud of the current owners business practices. There are lots of business that have been around over a hundred years. Look at Lehman Brothers they were founded in 1858 and they caused the great recession of 2008, and it was because of their horrible business practices. They got what they deserved because of their deceptive business practices now they are not in existence today.

I can only hope that this company can find its ethics and moral values or they go the way of Lehman Brothers.
