Great service. Courteous and pleasant workers. Response was vary quick, and the work was done in a timely fashion. Showed up on time, took care of a nasty problem, left the jobsite neat and tidy. Would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends or family, or to call on them should I need plumbing or drain service again. I wish all the service companies I use as a homeowner were this good

Eric was quick to respond to my call and set ip an appointment for that day to give me a quote. Dave installed the water line to my new fridge the next day! Highly recommended.
Jamie was terrific and I highly recommend her. She located our leak after a thorough and careful inspection. Then she completely resealed our tiled shower and installed a new shower head. No leaks since then! I was relieved that we didn't have to cut into the ceiling or wall to find the leak. Thanks, Jamie, for your professionalism and hard, smart work!
We have worked with Ericson's for years, and recently contacted them for a remodeling job. They were flexible and willing to work with us on design changes and considerations for our 90 yo mother, who just moved in. Special consideration to Jason and his son, who tirelessly worked to complete the job with fine detail and care. They gave good advice, and ensured that the final project would meet the needs of an elderly woman. The only glitch was the permit delay, and some emergency repair jobs they needed to address which slowed progress. We would use them again and love the attention they gave to our requests. The final project looks great!
Re-did my sump pump and backup system moved from a battery backup to a water jet install.. quick clean install done on time.. had an issue with the backup pump dripping a little after about a month of install.. notified them and very promptly swapped out the backup pump as warranty within 2 days at no charge!! A+++ service
Today was the second time I've called Ericson's for help. Last June, and again today, my toilet got clogged. I called, and Dave came to my house to fix the problem. While he was here, I asked if he could check the bathroom sink, which was draining slowly. When he finished that, I asked if he could also check my sump pump in the basement, because it hadn't been service since installation more than 20 years ago. He found a small problem and fixed it. Everything was done in less than an hour, and the price was great. I couldn't have asked for better service. I definitely recommend Ericson's. I hope I'll never have to call them again, because who wants plumbing problems? But things happen, and the odds are that I'll need a plumber again in the future, and when I do, I'll definitely call Ericson's!
Eric is the worst ""plumber"" ever! Home Advisor referred me to this clown when I had a recent 63,000 gallon / month water main break. He has no clue what he is doing and started digging with a backhoe immediately to try and find the leak. He found nothing and caused a lot of damage to my property. He and his clueless workers tried to convince me that I didn't have a leak at all and that it must either be my toilets leaking or a bad water main at the street. After I told him the water company already replaced my water main he said it must be a bad batch and they need to replace it again. Are you joking?? He then replaced my main shut-off valve in my basement and added a few colored tablet to my toilets to detect the leak. He then demanded a $600 payment and said he would return to complete the rest of the job. Well he never called or showed up again and left me with a large hole that I needed to pay another contractor to backfill. I hired a real plumber and they found and repaired the leak within a couple hours and did minimal damage to my property. It pays to hire a good plumber and not someone that is either unknown or an apparent joke in the plumbing community!!
I called Ericson's Remodeling on a Sunday because I had my main pipe back up in my basement. Dave Semple from Ericson's came to my house on Sunday. Roto Rooter had come out before and tried to fix it and made it worse. Dave showed up at our house right after Roto Rooter left. Dave worked so hard and was able to unclog the pipe. He was a life saver! He charged way less than Roto Rooter was going to charge and he did a wonderful job!
I had a great experience! Eric responded right away to my inquiry (drain cleaning of a bathtub). He asked if it was an emergency (was willing to get the work done on a Sunday). He worked with my schedule. I was informed when the technician will show up. Rick arrived on time. He was excellent and fixed the problem in no time. I recommend this business to everyone. The team is very professional and they treat their customers so well. Also, their prices are competitive/reasonable. Will do business again for sure!
Joe H.When we bought our home four years ago, we knew we were going to have to put a decent amount of money into it to update and remodel it. We spent a huge chunk of money into the initial investment of remodeling by taking money out of our 401K. Now that this initial loan is paid off, we started to focus on the next phase of bigger expenses, which includes remodeling of two bathrooms and finishing a spare room. We called our electrician, who has done work in our home since we bought it and asked for a recommendation for someone to do our bathrooms. Our electrician is also a general contractor so he agreed to do the project.
The first two days of the project started with the demo of the upstairs bath. No problems there and in fact, it took less time than I imagined it would take. The following day, Eric from Ericson's Remodeling and Drain Cleaning showed up to begin the plumbing. Now, keep in mind that this was an existing bathroom for over 50 years and the layout of the fixtures was essentially not changing.
Within minutes of being there, Eric seemed bewildered and I felt uncomfortable with his puzzlement. But our GC showed up, the two of them talked and it seemed that all was good at that point. However, each day seemed to bring more ""issues"" for Eric. The plumbing seemed to be becoming complicated and extensive. There were pipes leaking, difficulty routing the pipes where they needed to be, a new exhaust pipe needed to be run through our roof, etc. Finally, a week later the work was complete. Or so we thought.
Although the side of the truck for Ericson's shows the NJ license number, Eric, himself was not a licensed plumber. Here comes the good part. Because Eric isn't licensed, a licensed plumber has to come in behind him to inspect the work and literally sign off on the plumbing as if that licensed plumber did the work himself before the city inspector can come to say it is acceptable and that the walls can be closed up and the project can be completed. We've had two licensed plumbers come into our home in the past two weeks and neither of them is willing to sign off on the plumbing. Why? Because it's shoddy!
For every connection that is made in plumbing, you have to be able to see the purple primer on the PVC. Of the dozen or so connections in our bathroom nearly half of them don't have primer showing. That alone will fail the inspection. Huge holes were created in our floor joists to accommodate the vent pipe that Eric installed. Come to find out, the pitch of the vent pipe is not up to code. Now, more/larger holes will need to be created in order for that pitch to be corrected. In doing that, we're weakening the joists and the support of the entire bathroom. The drain for the sink is also off pitch...well, that's not true...it's off level because there isn't supposed to be the pitch that Eric left us with.
Because of the ""extra work"" Eric did, he charged us an additional $850. I paid it to him the day he left and it wasn't until he was long gone that we found out how crappy his work really was.
This project started the second week of September and we were told that BOTH bathrooms would be completed in two weeks. Because of Eric's screw-ups, work has been at a complete standstill for over five weeks. Nothing has been done.
Thankfully, this past week a plumber agreed to come in and finish the job and we should have our bathroom back in less than two weeks.
I would never recommend using Ericson's Remodeling and Drain Cleaning.
