If you use them, be careful and pay close attention to what they're doing. I ended up with a way overpriced $1,400 water heater they installed without my permission or even giving me a quote first. All I asked is for them to come take a look and give me a quote for repair. Returned home to a new heater and an invoice. And they took my EcoSmart device I had attached to my last one. Refused to come down on the price when I realized they had already installed it. So now I'm stuck with a huge bill when there are tons of other companies who would have done the job for far cheaper. Ripoff.

I don't often leave reviews unless the service was extremely good or extremely poor.

Epperson electric has major communication in issues that exist between those who quote the job, those who perform the job, and those who bill the job.

I was quoted 450$ for installation of a generator inlet. the service was performed properly. with the exception of the technician bleeding all
over my electrical panel inside our home as they performed the job and making no effort to clean it.

afterwards I received an invoice for 1850$

not at any point throughout the process did anyone communicate the initial quote of $ 450 was going to increase. after contacting Epperson. they informed me that was only a job estimate which is subject to change. they then went on to explain that's why they ""don't make written quotes"". The owner of the company would never respond or take my call to communicate. They would only send me to the original project estimator that clearly dropped the ball in communicating with his team. I would suggest you either never choose this group or be sure that you get a written contract before starting any project with them. their website reviews are really positive, but they control the narrative. note. yelp reviews are much more accurate and better reflect their shady business styles...
They clearly do not care about customer satisfaction. they only care about taking your $$$. Potential customers be very aware! Save your self some major grief. Choose another company or be adamant that you get a written quote stating the exact amount that you will pay for services provided!

If I could give -5 I would. Had an HVAC put in last year. Took 2 years to get them to do it. They are gullible and they will believe anything you take to them in writing. Really Sad!

The salesman and the installers, Lonnie and Austin, were great!

The scheduler, Dale Bogle, however, is a bit of an ass. He was rude and, when asked why his installers were 1 1/2 hours late with no phone call or text, he laughed, long and loud, and told me 11/2 hours late was ""nothing"" and that they were ""days behind"" installations. A real jerk and no asset to the company.

Again, though, Lonnie and Austin were terrific!

I asked Mr. Epperson to call me. He never did. So I never got to say his installers were awesome, and Dale Bogle is a rude ass. Hence this review.

If there was a negative star I will leave that. We had them install a complete system 6 years ago and the young men that installed the system were very rude. I questioned something and they tore my head off. The next month air bill was over $500.00!! 2/3s higher than the old system. The owner and a foreman came out and found the young men had done their job horribly. There was air leaks all over the system. They repaiied the what the young men did. I guess the men though the old folks here would just eat the bills!
Find a company with better ratings. Don't give these your business go with with someone with better ratings, which we did!

We been without water for 4 days n we called atleast 6 people and epperson was the only ones to try to respond and succeeded in getting the water fixed granted they said it could be 1 to 2 days but ended up being the same day fast and fixed very grateful ps. And the worst part is that I have a plumber that lives right down the road and was jus simply too busy thanks again epperson

My wife took the day off work...we were told they would be there in the afternoon.My wife called at 4 PM to check.They said they would not be out until the following day.They said they were busy somewhere else.If you can't make a scheduled appointment ,you have the decency to call all scheduled customers that day and let them know.Lost my business for good.Don't waste your time with Epperson, keep looking and find someone reliable.

had epperson come and work on my ac unit, had to replace a breaker on the furnace. air worked fine. that night It got chilly so kickee on and no heat. called to schedule them to come back out and fix what they messed up. the heat had worked 2 days before so no doubt it was something that was done. also wanted the fan in outside unit replaced because it was screeching. not bad but bad enough. repair guy was supposed to order and notify me on Monday. we made an appointment for 3pm Monday. 3 PM came and went so I called the office of epperson. the woman who answered the phone was clueless. I asked if the fan had been ordered. she didnt know. I asked why none showed up at the scheduled time. she didnt know. so scheduled appointment for today at 3pm. I called to double check if the fan motor had indeed been ordered as I saw no reason that I should pay for 2 service calls. she couldn't tell me if it had been ordered. clueless. I stated that I did not want anyone coming until the motor was ordered and confirmed to be there. she then copped an attitude and became snarky and rude. stating I would have to pay for the motor. I said YOU CANT EVEN TELL ME IF ITS BEEN ORDERED OR NOT so good luck with that. I dont put up with attitude from people I'm paying for a service. especially when they screwed up more than they fixed. dont use this business. rude and incompetent.

Epperson installed a new trane system less than five years ago. It quit but things happen.I called them and the next day someone came out.Was there about fifteen minutes and tells me the defroster board is bad but he does not have one with him.Tells me easy to replace and it was, i changed it the next morning, Wrong guess. I call them then send the guy back out. he pulls the side cover off the heat pump and the line going into the drier has blown apart.He goes and gets a new one and solders it in.draws a vacuum and fills the unit.Newer stuff Five dollars a pound on amazon or ebay. They charge FIFTY FIVE a pound to put it in plus seventy dollars and hour from the time they leave their shop until they return.Over a thousand dollars for less than fifty dollars of refrigerant and a fifty dollar part, plus their wrong guess costed one hundred and ninety.Avoid these people at all costs greed is all they know

HORRIBLE customer service!! Do not use this company! I wish I didn't have to give them even one star to post this review. They only had one person on call over a big holiday and they lived out of town and wanted to charge us mileage from their house to Somerset to fix our heat. As if it is the customer's fault that their only person on call for the Somerset area lives out of town, and as if the customer can control where their employees live. Ridiculous! We chose to wait until the next day and called again to have someone come to fix the furnace, and were told it would be some time that day. We called back late that afternoon after no one had shown up and were told that their only two technicians were out of town and probably wouldn't make it to our house that day. They had no consideration to call us and let us know that even though they knew we were without heat. And they didn't seem to care if we called another company. This was the third problem we have had with this heat and air system that they just installed two and a half years ago. And the last problem we called about they were unable to fix, were here about twenty minutes but charged us for one hour of work, a rip off. I do not see how this company has stayed in business all these years, but they have a lot of competition now so good luck! We called another company the next day, we had never used them before, and they were here within two hours and had it fixed in two hours including time to go get a part. I cannot stress how important customer service should be in any business.
