I launched my business in November 2010. It has grown from a modest garage operation to a complete HVAC service business with over 40 employees. The company has advanced to a cutting-edge facility that houses installation, service, repair, and maintenance technicians ready to support homeowners with their HVAC needs. Environmental Heating and Air Solutions holds both a C-20 (HVAC) and a C-36 (Plumbing) license.
Hello, my name is Matthew Evans. I reside in Roseville with my thirteen-year-old son Brenden and my two-year-old son Caden. My experience in the HVAC field dates back to 2004. Prior to this, I worked as a police officer. I founded Environmental Heating and Air Solutions with the vision of creating a robust business model to assist homeowners and business owners in understanding and managing their heating and air conditioning needs. Our goal is to equip customers with basic HVAC information and solutions that help decrease their bills with the most efficient, effective, and green products. I would not recommend this business to anyone for their services. They get 1 star since their phone staff were great to me and that's about it.
My AC was not cooling. I scheduled a diagnostic appointment with them for a timeframe if 2-6pm. I came home from work at 1pm. The phone staff called me at 5:30pm to let me know the technician was running late and it will be about an hour. They were very friendly and offered to discount the diagnostic fee.
The technician showed up at 6:45pm. The moment I opened the door I noticed he was checked out. Appearing to not want to be at my home. He was there for less than 10 minutes. All he did was look at the unit outside applied a tool he had to the wires and that's it. He quickly said you have three options. 1. We fill it up with dye to see if there is a leak ($1,100) 2. I go up in the attic to check the system ($700). 3. You buy a new AC system for $10-20k because the one I had was an old system that uses R22. He appeared to be irritable with my questions since I'm a first time home buyer and never been through this. He was unfriendly, not helpful and just plan rude. I had a gut feeling to pass on this company. Since I'm a single mom I did not want to confront him about my issues with him. So I gave him my credit card and he quickly left without a word. I was left helpless and in tears.
I called the office the next morning about my issues. I shared with them my experience and if I can get the diagnostic fee refunded as I believe he didn't due a complete diagnostic. They woman (manager) said no. All they can do is send another technician. She also made sure I knew that the technician that came out is one of their best and never had any issues.
If they would have refunded my fee, I would have not posted a review and moved on.
Luckily another excellent business came out the next day, on time and did a thorough diagnostic in my home. The technician was wonderful, answered all my questions, drew me a picture of what the systems are and do, etc. He went over everything with me. He got my AC back too cooling at no cost. I gave him a big hug and thanked him on his great customer service!
This single mom has worked hard for her home and Environmental Heating and Air Solution lost a great customer. I ended up purchasing a new unit from the other business since the R22 is old and are phases away. It was installed yesterday.

So happy with our decision to go with Environmental Heating and Air Solutions. Besides being a Costco vendor, always a plus, the service provided by John and Eddy in replacing our heater and air conditioner, was excellent. They took great care in ensuring our floors were protected and completed all clean up. They are both very professional. Our new air conditioner is very quiet, especially compared to our old unit. Ask for John and Eddy to perform the install. You will be happy you did.

There's nothing worse than your AC going out on when it's over 100 degrees outside. Luckily, using Yelp I was able to request a quote from a few different companies to have them come out to look at my AC. Michael was one of the first to get back to me and send me an estimate. We were able to schedule an appointment for the same day.
We had an appointment for 4-6 and when I got home at 5:30, he hadn't arrived yet. I had to call and get an update that he would be late, instead arriving at 6-8. I was just happy it wasn't canceled. When I did call and receive an update, I was also provided with an after hours number just in case there was an issue.
The repair was fairly quick and the charge was very reasonable. I'm just relieved that we were able to take care of it today. This experience could have been a lot more stressful and costly but thanks to Environmental Heating and Air, it was all handled in one day! I would definitely recommend them and will call again if there are any issues in the future.

These guys have a new customer for life. We are so incredibly happy with our experience with Environmental Heating & Air. We knew our upstairs AC unit may not make it through the summer. So we started getting quotes about 6 weeks ago. Which itself was a hassle and presented a number of ups and downs with various companies. During that process EHAS separated themselves from competitors with a very timely quotation, a sales rep who spent nearly an hour going through all our many questions, and completely transparent pricing. When our AC died on Thursday afternoon, they were out here by Friday morning assessing if it could be repaired. Collectively, we decided the repair expense was so substantial and the outcomes unknown that we decided to pull the trigger on the new unit. Next day, Saturday, 7am to 7pm four guys hustled all day to install a new system, new duct work, new zoning controls and programming. They were courteous, highly communicative, super patient with our puppy, cleaned all the work areas, etc. They were a joy to have in our home. AND they left with a COOL upstairs.

Environmental Air installed our new HVAC system. We are happy with the system and the annual maintenance that Environmental Air provides. In particular, Kevin Coulter has done an excellent job servicing our system while professionally representing his company.

After purchasing our top-of-line Lennox system from Environmental (through Costco) in 2015 we began having trouble in 2018 with the A/C not cooling. A repair was performed in August 2018 but when we attempted to use the system last week it was again low on refrigerant indicating a leak in the system. The technician came Saturday and diagnoses the issue (leaking evap. coils). The repair was completed 3 days later. Everyone at this company is very customer service oriented and working with Michael was a pleasure. The result was a fully repaired system with a very quick turnaround (a part had to be shipped). Michael went above and beyond to take care of this customer. These days this type of customer care can be a challenge to find...but you will find it here!!

When your A/C doesn't work, you try and get a company out as soon as possible to get it fixed when the inside temperature of your house is at 89 degrees. I called multiple HVAC companies yesterday to see if anyone was available for an emergency call and could come out same day. It was late in the day, I reached Environmental Heating & Air Solutions around 6:20PM. I spoke with the dispatcher and gave her all the information on my unit, the problem being the thermostat was not working, no power to the thermostat. She took down my number, address, and pertinent information. I asked if someone was available today, as it was like 6:25PM at the time and I wanted to see if I could get my unit back up and running.
Dispatcher said yes, I'll have my emergency crew give you a call when they head out to my house. I waited and did not call any other company hoping someone would show up. No phone from anyone from this company, and no one showed up. Just amazing how businesses like this function with no respect for customers time. Be honest, call back and say we are sorry but no one is available today to come out to your house. I would of been okay with that, I had called couple others to set up appointments which I didn't thinking someone was going to show up from Environmental Heating & Air.
I would leave zero stars for this business if i could. Please hire a dispatcher that will follow through with their scheduling and promises, or don't make promises.

We have used Environmental Heating and Air three times in the past year and a half. We had a thermostat installation problem from a prior contractor and called EHAS. Technician found the problem quickly, wrong wire to wrong terminal, and we were back in business. Recently during a cold spell our heat pump seemed to be operating inproperly. It was due to my misunderstanding how heat pumps work and once again the issue was explained and resolved quickly. Today, Sunday, I discovered I misplaced the receipt from the heat pump issue. I texted them and they immediately responded and sent a copy of the receipt, on Sunday. Good folks to deal with.

Great company! The connections between our furnace's vent flue assembly seems loose and needs a few things to hold it from falling apart. Got really worried when we woke up and could smell that something was wrong. I messaged them Saturday at 6am and few minutes after they messaged back and sent Thomas to repair it right away. The guy was able to fix it without replacing the flue itself!! I'm really happy about that. Very professional, honest, knowledgable and friendly, I would definitely recommend them!

Environmental Heating & Air Solutions was the best service I could have asked for. I went through Costco and I am so glad that they use Environmental Heating & Air Solutions. We started shopping around for quotes and we were getting discouraged until Kevin came out and walked us through the process. Environmental worked with us and our budget to replace our entire HVAC system. These guys are top notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace all or part of their system or a service call. They are professional from beginning to end of the process. I highly recommend them!! In fact they are replacing our water heater for a tankless water heater. I trust them and thats rare these days!
