Joe from Engstrom Plumbing came to our house to snake a drain that was backing up. He was supposed to snake the drain all the way to the street and run a camera through to see what the issue was since this has happened before. He agreed to give us a copy of the video he took. After snaking the drain he did not find any roots in the drain; he then did the video. He said the issue was that the drain outside of the house was 6"" and he could only snake 3"" since we did not have a clean out access point. The main drain was dirty (but no roots) and he needed to add a clean out point to clear out all of the gunk. He then gave us a proposal for $3,000 to do this.

Two months later after several attempts to get the video from him with no success the drain backed up again. I called a new plumber since Joe never held up his end of the deal dropping off the video. The new plumber came and snaked and did a new video. There were roots every 4 feet. This plumber showed me the video so I saw everything.

Joe did not do the job he said he did. Had he snaked all the way to the street like he said he would have found roots. Had he done the video he said he did he would have seen the roots. He also never gave me a copy of the video he said he took but he did give me a proposal for $3000 for additional work.
