Very impressed with the service from this business. They came promptly to fix an issue that ended up being very simple and they graciously looked over several other items at the same time. No pressure to pay for unnecessary work, very fair pricing for the service visit. It's a local business which I think is a positive and the staff were knowledgeable.

First of all, Derek and his team are AMAZING! We have had one hell of an experience with our house lately, which Encore has provided help with multiple jobs. They provide a variety of different services, they helped us with plumbing, water heater and AC. We will continue to work with this company because of the honesty, professionalism, and reasonable prices.

I really hate putting people or companies on blast, but Encore Plumbing needs to get their act together... I don't want to blame the techs themselves, but I do blame the company on their training procedures... They try to up sell you on making believe that you need to replace you AC unit and or compressor and coil packs when most of the time it's just a $20-$40 dollar part... for instance a capacitor... I was quoted 2 quotes, one for $6,500 and the second for $10,300 the larger of the two was for a full AC system replacement.

I had two trained and certified HVAC techs from Encore Plumbing come out yesterday to looks at my unit to tell me that I needed to replace the AC unit compressor and evaporator coil pack on the blower in my garage... they insisted that my compressor and condenser coil was bad and no longer functional... I politely declined the service off...

After the techs left, I called a friend who recommended that I check the capacitor that I replaced 2 years ago... My YouTube HVAC certified ass with no experience tested the capacitor (with a simple volt meter) that I changed out 2 years earlier and found that it was bad again...it died on the compressor side (or the Herm side of the capacitor) I bought a new one for under $40 bucks and replaced it... and what do you know... My AC is blowing cold ass air again...

What a scam! The sad thing is is that this same company just replaced my next door neighbors whole system out... I don't have the heart to tell him that is was probably a $20 part...

Always get a second opinion or if you're mechanically inclined, test it yourself... don't allow yourself to be the victim of a scam... especially the elderly that are getting taken advantage of. These techs more than likely work off commission of what they can up sell in the field.

They didn't even bother to test the capacitor... so I basically gave them $65 dollars service fee for a bunch of hot air to be blown up my ass... no pun intended....

My breaker has not once ever tripped on me before or after the fact... the only time it's ever tripped is when your techs were here and I personally didn't see it trip... also, please don't assume that my AC unit is 34 years old based on the year my house was built... I told Jake that I replace the unit in 2008... I wonder if that was in his notes because he did ask me? I also replaced and upgraded my circuit breaker panel and rewired my house in 2009... I always put safety first...

Although I appreciate your feedback, but do more homework before making assumptions...

My point is that nobody bothered to test a simple capacitor that was bad and insisted that I replace a bunch of parts that I didn't need...

BTW... My AC is still running great after changing out the $40 dollar capacitor... and wouldn't you know, the breaker hasn't tripped once... go figure...

Two year old AC not cold, Frank came and able to find and fix the problem. Frank was courteous and professional, put on shoe sock when coming inside the house. I Would use their service again.

Adrian was the tech that came out for an emergency call and Derek worked with me on logistics and terms. I really appreciate the professionalism and willingness to partner with me. They just won my long term business by their polite tone, professionalism and prompt responses.

Jake was my technician and he was very professional. He didn't mind the questions and me taking pictures for my significant other while not home. He was very thorough and explained every move he made. Didn't mind my dogs either. I will use this service again and highly recommended.
