My home warranty company sent Empire out to my home because my garbage disposal was leaking. I was very nervous as the reviews I read were not good. I received a call from them very quickly after my warranty company contacted them about the job. Tanner was the plumber assigned to my work order, he was punctual, and called me when he was on his way. He was very respectful of my home, leaving his boots outside and asking if it was ok to put some parts on the counter before he did so. He came prepared with a replacement disposal. I am very pleased with my experience with this company.

Just a horrible experience! The technician was barely understandable. They left my water heater issue to sit over the weekend and inaccurately presented information to the warranty company. The customer service is hideous. Stay clear of these people.

We came in contact with Empire Plumbing through our home warranty company 2-10. On the initial visit for a garbage disposal issue they seemed great to work with. They replaced our current garbage disposal. Fast forward to a few months later and the disposal stopped working. We called the home warranty company and they sent Empire back out again. Empire tried to charge us another $100 service fee to ""fix"" the disposal. At the same time they were out to fix the disposal, they had to find the source of two additional leaks that were coming from our bathrooms. In the main bath they said it was coming from a spot on the floor around the bath tub and it just needed to be resealed. They found the second leak and we would have to make an appointment to get that fixed as they ""ordered parts"".

A few days later when Empire attempted to charge us the service fee for the garbage disposal AFTER our home warranty company said there would not be one we realized they replaced our old garbage disposal which was 1/2 HP with a 1/3 HP. We called our home warranty company and advised them what happened. Basically the warranty company was getting charged for a better garbage disposal than what they actually put in.

Our warranty company then pulled the remaining work orders from Empire and then switched them to a different plumbing company. As soon as we finished talking to our home warranty company we get a call from Empire saying they were not going to charge us the service fee for the garbage disposal (the very same disposal they had put in and we had already paid for once). Funny that this happened after our warranty company pulled the work orders.

In addition the person they sent out that tried to say our tub was leaking from needing to be ""sealed"" again was incorrect. Our hallway bathroom pipes are STILL leaking. They also pulled insulation out of the ceiling in the basement and just left it there for us to clean up.

Overall, my experience with Empire is that they are dishonest in their business practices and have incompetent technicians.

I was told a plumber would come to my house between noon and 4pm. No one ever called or showed up, and when I called their office, I kept getting voicemail. I left a message, but unsurprisingly, it wasn't returned. I'm extremely frustrated with this company, as I had to take the afternoon off from work, only to be stood up by the plumber.

Had a great experience with Empire. My home warranty company assigned them to my after a pipe busted and flooded my garage. When I was still on with the warrant co, they were already calling to schedule an appointment understanding the emergency situation. They worked to fit me in the next day. After being a little nervous reading other's reviews, I was thrilled that they were on time, very quick to assess the issue, informative of the fix needed and how to prevent further issues and we're able to get the water back on in my house in a very quick time-frame. Even after finishing the job, they called that night to make sure everything was okay and working. Thank you Empire!

These people are a nightmare. My warranty company sent them out to clear a main line stoppage at my rental property. They gave me a window between 10-2p on last Thursday. They did not arrive until after 10pm. The technician said that he could not clear it and that I needed to call the county out to check their end of the line. The county came out and said their end was good. He said that he located the cleanout and that they just needed to snake it. I had to put my tenants into a hotel. I called Empire back and told gave them the message on Friday. I asked them if they could get someone out soon because of the sewage backing up into the house. He told me that he would try to get someone out Sunday. That never happened. We had to wait until Tuesday. The technician came out and said that there was nothing that he could do. He said he snaked 150 feet and couldn't clear the line. Matt, who I assume is the owner tells me that I need to install 1 or 2 cleanouts so that the line can be cleared. He said it would cost me about $800. He said he didn't have a long enough snake to reach the stoppage and that he does not do jetting. Had to end up calling Stemmle plumbing. They came out on the same day and made it my house early. They located the cleanout near the house and had the stoppage removed in 15 minutes. Empire did not even try to locate the cleanout closer to the house and I have no idea where he was sending his snake. The cleanout that is farther away from my house was not flooded and Stemmle knew that the stoppage had to be between the house and the middle of the yard. I have spent $1000 between hotel costs and repair fees messing around with Empire. Stay away from them.

Empire Plumbing handled my problem fast and they were very professional. Stephanie was great and my tech Lee was awesome took care of the problem and left me a note stating the problem and left me a note that all is will. Came home late and things are well. Thanks again for a great job.

These people are completely incompetent. I had a minor issue and it look 3 visits to fix a faucet. They are overwhelmed and do not care about the clients time. They come to your house not prepared to work and you can guarantee your issue will not get resolved on the first visit as there is never the correct tool on the truck. But I will say Lee showed up on the third day and went above and beyond to ensure that was the final visit. Thank you Lee, but he can not change this company alone the rest of the staff has got to step it up.

I Filed a claim with my Home Warranty and they selected this company to come out , I noted what the problem was is that my underneath sink was dropping and I had granite counter tops and it needed to be resealed . The Appt was for Saturday 12/03/2016 ( think 9-2pm ) guess what this was a no show and no call . I called again Monday and she said did not know what happened and that she would send someone out that day around 4pm . This guy showed up at 6.30pm walked in looked at the sink ( maybe 1 min ) and left , he sat outside in his personal truck for about 15-20 min . Found out not covered under warranty but they could fix for 250.00 . I refused to pay my 75.00 charge because of the no show no call on Saturday . The guy that came ( I would not hire him to do any type work ) I would check to see if these plumbers are licensed before do any type of work .. Stay Away from this company !
