Arleen G.Empire Plumbing handled my problem fast and they were very professional. Stephanie was great and my tech Lee was awesome took care of the problem and left me a note stating the problem and left me a note that all is will. Came home late and things are well. Thanks again for a great job.
These people are completely incompetent. I had a minor issue and it look 3 visits to fix a faucet. They are overwhelmed and do not care about the clients time. They come to your house not prepared to work and you can guarantee your issue will not get resolved on the first visit as there is never the correct tool on the truck. But I will say Lee showed up on the third day and went above and beyond to ensure that was the final visit. Thank you Lee, but he can not change this company alone the rest of the staff has got to step it up.
Mike D.Cons! Home warranty company sent them will not comeback in my house to do anymore work.
Tina C.I Filed a claim with my Home Warranty and they selected this company to come out , I noted what the problem was is that my underneath sink was dropping and I had granite counter tops and it needed to be resealed . The Appt was for Saturday 12/03/2016 ( think 9-2pm ) guess what this was a no show and no call . I called again Monday and she said did not know what happened and that she would send someone out that day around 4pm . This guy showed up at 6.30pm walked in looked at the sink ( maybe 1 min ) and left , he sat outside in his personal truck for about 15-20 min . Found out not covered under warranty but they could fix for 250.00 . I refused to pay my 75.00 charge because of the no show no call on Saturday . The guy that came ( I would not hire him to do any type work ) I would check to see if these plumbers are licensed before do any type of work .. Stay Away from this company !
Don't let your home warranty company send this bunch to fix your plumbing problem. Insist on an alternate -- it's your right. If not, prepare for them to misdiagnose the issue, find something that's not covered to fatten their wallet, and then threaten you with legal action when you object. Absolutely horrible...
absolutely the worst. had to explain things to the tech who misdiagnosed the problem... caused me to have to pay more money, tried to sell me on a service that i didn't need and then left without fixing the original problem. scheduled a second tech to come fix the problem and they never showed up. two weeks of calling the office and being told they would take care of it... never did. they are shysters! stay away from this place.
Meg M.Run fast and run far away from Empire Plumbing! Fellow Yelpers have been loud and clear of their opinions. Unfortunately, we had no control over who our home warranty company was going to send out to repair a leak.
We asked the company to please give us a call when they were 30 minutes away because this was a rental property. This never occurred. They would call after they arrived or not at all, upsetting our tenants. If you are billing by the hour, tick tick. The first plumber diagnoses the problem, but has to get permission to get the part, so they will be in touch.
Days pass by, leak getting worse, so we have to make more phone calls. Second plumber sent out. Shows up on the wrong day. Tenant texts me. I jump in my car and arrive within minutes. He's already left! Attempt to call their office, no answer. Ugh! He comes back the next day and claims there is bad mold. There is nothing he can do. He attempts to collect a second deductible, really? Now, I'm really freaking out!
At this point, fearing the worst, I telephone our homeowner's insurance and report a claim.
The property adjuster gives me a call and shares several restoration/remediation companies.
I arrange an appointment for all of us to meet and reevaluate the problem. The experts laughed at the lack of mold, shocking! They were both writing their reports, but now we are back to the beginning.
More phone calls and frustrations. Inquired if we were able to hire another plumber, then get reimbursed, but not an option. Original plumber returns, he doesn't have the part he needs! He has to go to Home Depot to purchase, really? Lowe's is much closer and I happen to know that they have the exact same item. Travel time? The actual repair took about 10 minutes, max! #What a nightmare! :-(
***A few days later, my husband attempted to start drywall patch. Guess what, it's still leaking! This empire has fallen!
This company is by far the worst I have ever dealt with. They came out the 1st time and assessed the problem. They said they would order the part and it could take a week. I ordered the part and got it in2 days. a Technician came out and put in a ""piece"" of the part ordered, not the whole part. No hot water. He said another part was needed. They ordered the new piece and I took yet another day off of work. Supposedly the owner was to come out and install this part. He never showed....no phone calls. When I called the office at 3:45 (they close at 4:00), no answer so I left a message. They didn't return my call so I called the emergency number and got a nice young man. He called his boss only to be told the boss had tried calling me several times that day. ALL LIES!!!!! I was by my 2 phones all day long. They were never out of my sight. They NEVER rang. So the young tech got the part from the office and came out at 11:00 pm to install it. We knew he was coming out that late. Again....only a piece of the part was installed...not the entire part. Again....no hot water. This has been going on for 4 days now. The next day I called a different plumber and had him come out and install a new hot water heater. Empire told the warranty company that my old water heater had a leak and needed to be replaced. It didn't have a leak but the warranty company did pay to have it replaced. The warranty company had a hard time getting Empire to call them back. This company is NOT reliable and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Stay away!!!!!!!
Jillian S.Empire Plumbing replaced our hot water heater, for the record.
Residential systems inc AC inspector, Dennis came in today and at 10:00am and he told us some frightening news, the way the exhaust/vent pipes are set up are against code and could be deadly. Due to carbon monoxide poisoning.
He also stated if an inspector were to come out he would fail it and shut it down immediately.
The water heater that was replaced is not only the wrong water heater but is extremely dangerous the way they have it set up.
Of course all of the above information is in layman's terms.
It took over 3 weeks to even get the water heater and once we did it was not put in properly. It took several visits before it was put in right. To find out it wasn't even put in and it's parts , correct , safely or per code.
Stay away
Scott S.The home warranty company sent them out. To replace the water. It took them 3 weeks to replace it. With four kids and no hot water for three weeks. Unacceptable. It took them 3 visits to install it somewhat properly. And after 4 months I had a tech check the AC and furnace. To find out the water heater is the wrong size, the expansion tank is put on wrong. The exuast piping for the water heater is against code. So now I have to turn off the hot water because there is a chance for carbon monoxide leak. If your home warranty gives them request someone else.
