I'm surprised to see negative reviews for this company. I am a property manager in Miami Beach and I had lost 2 weeks with two other plumbing companies who were dragging their feet to get a permit for a water heater replacement. Empire Plumbing got the permit and did the job within 48 hours. The job was competitively priced and of very good quality. It wasn't a simple water heater because it required installing a divider between it and the AC unit above. Overall I have to say that I was very impressed with this company and plan on using them again and highly recommending them to everyone.

I called and the plumber arrived in about 30 minutes to fix one toilet. As long as he was here I had him check the other, which needed a minor fix, and also snake a tub drain. He was clean, courteous and honest and I paid a fair price - not cheap but certainly in line with what others charge. In Miami Beach if you live in old condo buildings, you're going to have plumbing issues, so having a reliable plumber is important. Thank you!

They had me wait an entire day I had an appointment and never showed. I rescheduled the following day for 9:30 am.... They still haven't showed. The reception acts like she knows it all .... I think their actions show they have no clue! Don't waste your time with this company.

This is a horrible company and you should avoid using them. I called to make an appt the night before for a morning appt. between 9 and 11. By 10:30 I called to see when they would show up. They said they would call me right back, well, they didn't call until 1 pm. After they didn't call right back I called another company. When they called at 1 they said they called my home and work numbers, the work number I didn't instruct them to call. I had no missed calls on my other phone, so they lied. At 1 pm they said since they called me early and I didn't answer, they sent the repair guy to the next job. So, tell me, if that was the case, why didn't they tell me that at 10:30 instead of 1 pm. I will NEVER use them again.

I have been doing business with Empire Plumbing over many years. Their work is first class, and long lasting. It is wonderful to have such a good plumbing company near home.

Called Empire for a partial repiping estimate yesterday and they said they could get someone out this morning at 8am. We called to reconfirm at 730 and they told us they would call us back. They call us back at 8 and tell us they can't come at 8 and that it will cost $275 for an estimate. Completely inconsiderate and unprofessional to waste our time like this. Horrible service and communication and the most expensive price just to get a quote I'd ever heard of. Absurd.

Excellent customer service and repairman. I called today to get my shower drain fixed. My call was answered quickly and the associate was knowledgeable and friendly. I was told my appointment was between 1-3pm. The repairman arrived promptly at 1pm and solved and fixed my drain within 20 mins! It great to see a company treat their customers well and have friendly an knowledgeable staff. Will use again for all my plumbing needs

I had an odd experience (non-experience) with Empire Due to a water main break, the copper tubing and filter leading to my dishwasher got clogged up. It's a pretty simple repair job but I have no tools nor much time in the evening for repair. I called Empire, and the woman screening the calls told me that they can do no work on any pipe or tubing or filter that is in anyway connected to a dishwasher. That, she said, would be something the appliance repair people would have to handle. She was quite adamant about it, almost like a stern civil servant telling someone that """"it's not my department!"""" I explained to her that the filter and tubing were outside the D/W, but she would have none of it. SInce when can a licensed plumber not work on the tubing leading to a dishwasher? I wonder if that rule applies to hot water heaters? Or clothes washing machines? What CAN they work on? I was also going to have some work done on a bathroom faucet and a shower head and mixing valve, but her attitiude was so off-putting I just dropped it. ANd who knows? Maybe they can't work on pipes leading to a shower head?

Update: After my first review giving Empire Plumbing one star, the company sent me a refund check in the amount of $125.00, the entire amount charged for the service call. They also sent a very apologetic letter (as well as a call and an email), thanking me for my comments. This was a welcome surprise; I would have been happy with a refund over the $50.00 I expected to pay. In short, I really appreciate that Empire Plumbing did what they could to make the situation """"right."""" Thank you.
