Recommended Customer Reviews

Empire and Dustin have done several jobs at my home and the work is excellent. Highly recommend both.

Having used them several times before I called with an issue with my toilet. The water shut off could not be turned off and needed replacing and I wanted the water leveler to be replaced. Appointment scheduled and technician arrived on time. That is where the good review ends. He proceeds to tell me that he does not have the equipment to replace the shut off line nor does he have the part to replace a Kohler toilet water leveler. He proceeds to tell me that he will have to remove the toilet from the floor to replace it and while he is doing that why wouldn't I like to replace the toilet. I told him there was nothing wrong with the toilet and no I did not want to replace it. The leveler he said he would have to order and come back another time. What a waste of my time. All he wanted to do was to make a sale of a toilet. Never again. Additionally when I started using them they did 24 hour emergency service as stated on their card. Don't think so as they have no plumbers for weekend work.

Negative Star for Empire. 100% mis-leading. Empire is listed on SW Gas approved vendor list. 100% did not even inspect or physically touch the situation at hand. Technician never even got on the ground to inspect what we called to inspect. 2nd and 3rd vendors came to quote. 3rd vendor won our respect with honesty and integrity! At 1/3 the cost estimate Go with BoydCo Every Time Folks!! #shameonyouempire

Southwest Gas referred me to this place after the pilot light on my fireplace went out. I'm glad I called them. They were able to come out within a couple of hours.
I was quoted a service fee and was told if they found something wrong there would be an additional charge. These guys are honest. I paid a service fee and nothing more.
After they left, I thought the pilot light went out again. They came right back and didn't charge another service fee.
I will recommend this place to my family and friends.

I called them for gas leak repair and the service repair person was very rude and disrespectful to our house. He was walking all over the house without asking for permission.

Such great, speedy service. Friendly and honest technician. Call them first if you want to save money and get speedy service.

Empire did a whole house re-plumbed last year and they will not honor the 2 year warranty as I am the new owner. There warranty is worth nothing unless you intend to stay in your home. What difference it makes to ownership. My home inspector found the leak Would not employ them for any further work needed

Take caution or it could be a costly lesson! I recently had a minor gas leak that was identified by SWGas as a leaky key valve in my indoor fireplace. SWGas completely disconnected my service and gave me a number to call to get the names licenced plumbers to repair the valve. Empire was on that list. Jason came to our house, ""evaluated"" the situation, and told us we needed to have a building permit that Empire would pull for us ($350--which were told from the building inspector who came later was priced high), a pressure test ($330) and the fix would be to cut into our wall and repair the leak in the valve($970). $1650 not including repairing the wall they would have to destroy to replace the key valve. They collected 50% immediately even before any work was even started. Jason then sent Aaron to actually do the work.He capped all gas lines, ran a pressure test, cut the hole in the drywall and then announced that it wasn't the key valve that was leaking but rather a $20 flex hose that was easily accessible from the panel on the fireplace (no need to cut into the wall). It was repaired within minutes. Cost? still $1650! I asked for a reduction in the $970 repair cost since the valve was not replaced or repaired in any way. They refused to give me any credit for work they DID NOT DO indicating that I signed a contract to ""open the wall"" and ""fix the leak"" so the $970 repair still applied even though they didn't have to repair/replace the valve. We later found out from SWGas that a building permit and subsequent inspection ($350 charged by Empire) would have been eliminated with a simple waiver from Empire indicating the key valve was not leaking and the flex hose was repaired. Empire unnecessarily ruined my wall which now has to be repaired. I was charged for work that was not done. We have notified SWGas and they have indicated they will be opening an investigation into this case.

A totally unethical business. Jason Hart, Service Manager at Empire Plumbing & Air Conditioning came to my home to give me an estimate for an ADA toilet (1), new tub handles and shower wand, and a hot water heater. I'm sure when he came in he saw an old white haired woman with no man in sight and dollar signs flashed through his mind. I had been doing business with Empire for the last several years and I don't think anything I previously had done was so out of line and felt I could trust I was getting everything at a fair price. I signed to have the work done for a whooping $4,119 which was more than double what it should have cost. At the time of installation I mentioned to the installers that I felt there was a mistake and an adjustment should be made. Of course the signed contracted was flashed in my face. By email I pointed out that I was being charge for TWO toilets (not one) for almost $2,000 and the toilet that was installed cost about $400. For the tub handles and shower wand I was charged over $1100 and cost about $120.00. For the hot water heater, which had a dent in it, I was charged over $1,700 and cost about $650. My supposed discount brought it down to the $4,119. What I should have been charged, allowing a generous five hours of labor at $150 an hour, was about $2020. I requested a refund of $2000 which I feel was a more than a fair adjustment. I filed a complaint with the ROC and because I signed the trumped up estimate I am SOL. EVERYONE dealing with Empire Plumbing and AC do you homework BEFORE you sign anything. Just because they can doesn't mean they should. I'm a big believer in KARMA and I hope when something bad happens to them they think of me.

OWNER WILL NOT TALK TO CLIENTS ACCORDING TO SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT PROBLEMS !!!!! RUN WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN !!!!
i was very discouraged with the over priced plumbing that I had done on a rental in Avondale Az. I was charged then I had a time frame scheduled from 10 am to 2 pm for air conditioning check.
They did not show up or call until after 330 pm.
I called back to the office and the secretary stated that the technician had gone out earlier in the day then I told her that she was wrong and she said that yes he did not go out until after 330.
She then said she had emailed me a copy of the air conditioning proposal I looked my email after I got off the phone and she then said that they couldn't send the email until after the $69 service fee had been paid. I told her that I had already given her the credit card number and been charged for the plumbing. She said that they sent it and it was denied.
I then talked with Jason the service manager he said that they had made 'several calls"" to me. He then admitted that they had made two calls. He then said that two calls were several to him.
I asked to talk with the owner and he said that the owner Anthony Livermore does not talk with clients. I asked with question that the owner will not talk with clients and Jason said no he will not.
If the owner will not talk with clients why would any one do business with them?????????
