We called Emory with a clogged kitchen and bathroom sink. They sent Carlos out within 2 hours of my call. He was very professional and fixed the problem in 1 hour. I will definately use this company again.

Carlos from Emory came for the 2nd time to fix our garbage disposal. He remembered us so he was able to see the problem right away and start the work. He was very friendly and fixed our problem thoroughly. He also gave us a list of things we needed to do to ensure this didn't happen again. We were very pleased with the service!

I cannot write enough good things about Emory Plumbing! I had two other companies evaluate an issue with my tankless hot water heater and they could not resolve it. I called Emory Plumbing and not only did they come out within 2 hours of my phone call, but they were exceptionally knowledgeable as well. The technician, Brandon, explained the problem in great detail and offered several solutions. I HIGHLY recommend Emory Plumbing. They make the entire process from scheduling to billing as simple as it gets.

I decided to Install a new sink a few weeks back. After reading a few reviews on Emory I thought I'd give them a call. First off, I have to mention how incredibly nice the dispatchers are. Every time I have called they take the time to listen and were very helpful in getting appointments set. Had the sink installed with no issues. A couple weeks following I had a few draining issues. They came back, helped me to realize I needed a new disposal, and got it done in a very short amount of time.

I also have to mention how great Carlos is. He's very honest, very good at his job, and just appears to be a really nice guy! He helped me in making decisions on what I should purchase to improve my house. I really appreciated this, as he clearly just does this for my houses well being and not his own.

Thanks Emory plumbing, you have found yourself a repeat customer!

I would definitely recommend Emory to anyone. When I scheduled the appointment they gave us a window of 8-10 a.m. Carlos arrived at 8:15 a.m, he was pleasant, friendly, and professional. He was upfront about what he was going to do and made sure we were okay with it. He proceeded to do his job and was done within the hour! I will use them again, great customer service, reasonable rates, overall I am a satisfied customer.

First off, I looked at the reviews before calling this place and didn't know what to think, but I'm sure glad I called these guys. Not sure how others got the wrong impression that they had to rate it low stars. Not only was the staff extremely professional, but the techs also did a phenomenal job explaining everything to me as far as the process. They were also very clear of making sure I understood everything (maybe that's what people misinterpreted, which I just want to point out since that's been people's previous ""issue"".)

Two days ago I thought I had a slab leak in my kitchen, so I called these guys up. They actually came out super quick which I was impressed by, and they were able to diagnose the problem for me. They submitted an estimate for a reroute, and once I approved after discussing all the details with the technicians they even started that day. I didn't think they would since my kitchen seemed to be a reck, however they got it finished the very next day and I couldn't be more pleased. It would be a shame if you didn't call them; excellent customer service. Not disappointed one bit!

**By the way, take advantage of their promo code! I was able to use it and got a great deal!

Thank you so much Emory plumbing, you guys really know how to take care of your customers.

Negative stars for customer service, but the professionalism of the technicians bumped up the rating.

Emory plumbing has come to service my home before, and they've been good--until now. Unfortunately, this is one of those times when the service was so bad, it motivates someone to write a review to warn others.

Long story about getting the correct appliance installed: The technician came out to assess the SDGE-certified issues with my heater and oven, and a new oven was installed within a week. Getting the heater replaced was a different story. One Tuesday morning, I got a call from Maddy, who was apparently new, at Emory telling me I could have someone come out to my house 3 - 5 PM that day or wait another week and a half. I mentioned it was difficult to drop my work for the afternoon, and she said, ""Well, I would have called yesterday, but I was alone in the office, and we were busy."" (Customer Experience Lesson 1: Don't make excuses for the fact that your company can't handle its workload.) I went ahead and scheduled the appointment, and Maddy said that the technician would call when he was on his way. The technician didn't call, knocked on my door, and lit the pilot light in my leaky gas heater. I asked him where my new heater was, and he was confused; it turns out they didn't order one. After conversations with my property manager and inconsiderate dialogue with Maddy at Emory, the new heater was scheduled to be installed the following Tuesday afternoon. At 2:40 PM, I called Emory to ask for an ETA, and Maddy said, ""All we can do is confirm the 3 - 5 PM time slot,"" to which I replied, ""I'm hoping for an ETA because the technician was supposed to call last time and didn't."" She said, ""I'll call him to ask and call you back."" Five minutes later, no call. Ten minutes later, no call. I called back, and Maddy said, ""I texted him, and he hasn't gotten back to me."" (Customer Experience Lesson 2: When you say you're going to call right back, call right back even if you don't have the necessary information yet.) I pulled up to my house at 3 PM, and Maddy called to say the technicians were on their way from Carlsbad to my house in Mission Hills/Hillcrest and wouldn't be there until 4 PM. I asked, ""Do I have time to run an errand if I'm back by 4 PM?"" to which she replied (AND GET THIS) ""I'm not in charge of what you do with your day."" (Customer Experience Lesson 3: Even if you're tired of dealing with a customer, don't get sardonic.) I asked to speak with a manager, and she said that a manager wasn't available, and she asked why I wanted to speak to a manager. I told her I'd call back tomorrow. I ran my errand and was back in plenty of time.

The technicians were professional, courteous, friendly, trustworthy--AMAZING. They did a great job installing the heater, and it's definitely an upgrade over what I had before. Would definitely hire (just) them again.

Long story about talking with the manager: I called this morning to speak to the manager, who was expecting my phone call. I gave her the compliment sandwich: your technicians were professional, I have some concerns about Maddy, still think your technicians are awesome. In the Maddy bit, I said that I wanted to highlight some concerns I had, and if I were a small business owner, I'd want to know these things. Lisa was courteous to listen. I highlighted the fact that Maddy made excuses for her short notice on a repair, that I wasn't given advance warning of when the technician would arrive, that she didn't call me back when she said she would, that she told me she wasn't in charge of what I did with my day, etc. Lisa heard me out, apologized for the slip-ups, and everything was great until (AND GET THIS) she said, ""I heard you weren't nice to Maddy either. Hopefully if you two have to work together again, you can get along,"" as if she were coaching schoolgirls on the playground. (Customer Experience Lesson 4: If your customer has something to say, you listen, say they're right--even if they're not--apologize, and move on; never admonish a customer.)

Long story short: If I could bypass all customer relations at Emory and have only the technicians, I would. Otherwise, I'd look for a different business.

I'd give 0 or 1 star for the company but the technician who came to my house (Carlos) earned them some points. Carlos showed up on time and after I explained that I'd had the same slow drain issue in my downstairs bathroom about a year ago and another company was able to clear the line by snaking from a 2"" cleanout in the laundry room, he attempted to do the same. However, his drain snake became kinked at some point and he had to work pretty hard to get the snake back out of the drain. It came out with some debris but the drain was still flowing very slowly.

Carlos told me that there really needed to be a cleanout in the 3"" line from the toilet drain and explained that they could install one and then run a larger snake through that line ... but it couldn't be done until the following day. So I went to the big, orange home improvement store and bought the ABS fittings required and then extended a cleanout from the toilet drain through the pony wall in my crawl space to the exterior of the house - just what Carlos suggested that Emory could and should do so I would have a proper cleanout.

Today (following Carlos' visit), I called Emory back to let them know I now had a 3"" cleanout directly inline for snaking the main drain and was ready for them to come back out, I was put on hold by the dispatcher. After a few minutes on hold, the manager or owner came on the line and told me that based on the fact they had damaged a very expensive piece of equipment at my house yesterday, he wasn't inclined to send anybody back out to my house.

I said OK and called another plumber to do the job - which took about 5 minutes once he had the power snake in place.

So while I appreciate the advice I got from Carlos and the attempts he made to clear the drain through the smaller line, I definitely cannot recommend this business since they were not willing to come back and finish the job.

They damaged my heater during an estimate and charged me $120 for coming out for 20 minutes! No one told me about it until I received a bill! Quoted me 3 times as much as it costed to replace by myself. Then the management hid behind the receptionist on the phone and was a total jerk.. Go somewhere else!

Unfortunately this isn't a good review for their business or service. We contacted this heating and plumbing company for an estimate to repair or replace an in-wall heating unit. (No price for the visit/estimate was disclosed during the phone call or service call) The technician that came to our home did not offer other options when I expressed that his quote was much higher than we were looking to spend. This left me no choice but to use their expensive quote or not move forward with this company, in this day and age, I would expect there to be ranges of options in not only heating units, but the time each would take for install (labor charge). Also, when he was inspecting the heating units (one didn't work, which is why we called them, while the other two did) he damaged the wall while removing the face of one that was still operable. Therefore resulting in repairs being needed on that unit. We decided not to move forward with the company for the replacement, again as the quote was excessive and imagine my surprise when I received a bill. The tech was at our place for less than 30 minutes, and the bill was for $120. I called the office to discuss the issue of not knowing about the expense of the estimate and the damage to my wall, and after a very difficult conversation they deducted $20 from the bill and then attempted to demand payment then. I don't care who you are or where you work, customer service is vital to the success of any organization and this entire interaction was a complete disappointment. My recommendation, ask questions and ensure you are comfortable with any and all costs as well as how your home/office looks upon their departure. Best of luck.

In response to their comment:
I am again highly disappointed that no ownership on the part of the company for this entire interaction is being taken. Readers of these reviews can make their own assessment, I was merely offering my experience as a reference point for others. (Stating that I was told the price of an estimate call or that my sister who was present at the call was disclosed the price at the time of the visit, simply didn't happen, and I never screamed at anyone on the phone. I asked him for other options as the $800 replacement quote for labor and parts for one small wall heater was excessive in my opinion. Clearly my social media comment was not a threat, I merely stated that in this day and age of social media it is shocking to not provide a higher level of customer service). Unfortunately since you feel it necessary to lie in your response to my post, there is nothing further that needs to be said about this companies ethics.
