Recommended Customer Reviews

Jay, the plumber that was sent out was super knowledgeable, and a very nice guy. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He was very meticulous in his approach to the job. Needless to say Jay left a very good impression.
EPS came out very promptly when I needed them. I had called a couple of plumbers I had used in the past one asked me to text him my info & he never called back as promised (this morning). The other company was booked 2+ days out & couldn't get to me when I needed them. EPS sent Jay right away.
I would highly recommend Jay to anyone!!!

As you all know, it's very stressful dealing with plumbing problems. Had a faulty water heater, I can't describe the pleasant services that I had Brian was on time, professional, quick, reliable. Thanks! Definitely recommendable

A Test of Patience
This is my first time dealing with this company and given a choice, I would never choose them on purpose. They were forced upon me by my god-awful warranty provider, First American. As hard as I tried, I could not convince FA to assign me to someone else. The plumber, the guy who does the real work, was friendly and competent but some the office personnel are the biggest bunch of arrogant ignorant snobs I have ever encountered.
Here's what started this tirade. Warranty did not cover some pieces and parts to bring the my water heater replacement up to code. With $400 of out of pocket expenses, I tried asking for detailed explanation for what I'm spending my money on. It was like pulling teeth! Every little item, I had to ask 3 times for a layman's explanation because they either assume that the whole world knows what he's talking about or they are in a hurry to get me off the phone. After a short time, I just got the feeling they want me to just shut up and pay the money. Every damn item, I was given a line of ""this is a required part to bring it up to code"". THAT WASN'T THE QUESTION, DAVE!!!!
I also tried to ask how to pay that $400. More teeth pulling! Do I pay the office? Do I pay the plumber? They said to pay the plumber. After more questions they finally said to pay when the work is done. Then I had to ask what form of payment is accepted. After a blank moment of silence on the phone, I rephrased the question. Do they accept credit cards? Cash? Check? Chickens? or What? FINALLY, he answered cash or check. This is a prime example of their lousy customer service. Instead of freely and clearly giving useful information, you have to pry it out of them.
Appointment scheduling? Almost doesn't exist. For any visit, you have to set aside pretty much the whole day. They want a 4 hour window even to just stop by for an estimate. ""it's policy and within the guidelines of the contract"". More snobbery. What I thought was supposed to be an 8am appointment turns out to be an appointment from anywhere from 8 to 11. Oh, they were doing ME a big favor by providing a 3 hour window instead of 4. They do NOT communicate clearly and get huffy when you call them out on it. It's YOUR fault, not theirs. My 8 to 11 window . . . I got a call a 10:35 saying he hopes to be here in 30 minutes. You just know that they are purposely delaying my service because I complained to the office earlier. So I lost a FULL day of work. After the job was completed and the plumber left, I noticed a smell. I'm assuming that this is a new burner smell and might be normal. When I called the office the next day to get expert advice, I got Dave instead. He didn't seem to even understand my question. Smell? What possible smell? Then he pretended to know something and answered ""maybe 2 weeks for the smell to go away"". He didn't have a clue. He did ask if I wanted a technician to come look at it. I declined because I didn't want to take another full day off work again because they can't seem to control any kind of schedule.
I don't see how a company can stay in business treating people this way. I want to give them a negative 20 stars. This company has absolutely NO bedside manner. We (me and First American) are paying them to treat the customer like trash. ""Just shut up and give me your money. We don't have to explain anything."" I will never ever endorse or recommend this company to anyone ever.

At first my experience with these guys went well - our water heater is 24 years old and takes a million years to heat up (and doesn't last long). They were the chosen company by our home warranty and they called quickly to schedule an appt to check it out (I believe the following day). Guy came out, was respectful and friendly (wore booties in the house to not muck up our floors), and tested our hot water heater with our tub upstairs.
Apparently our stupid archaic water heater worked fine (go figure they wouldn't just replace it, because I'm sure these one-star companies need every penny they can get) but the guy said a longer dip tube should be put in to allow for more hot water to be drawn upstairs when we need it. He said he would put in the claim that a new dip tube be put in, but he couldn't do it until he received approval from our home warranty. He said the office would call with the approval. So I wait. And wait. One week goes by. Then two. I call the office and leave a voicemail asking about the status. No call back.
Wait a few days and call again - a guy picks up and when I ask about the status, he says the technician said getting a new dip tube was a SUGGESTION but that it's not covered on the warranty so they can't help me. I informed him the guy specifically told me that he was seeking approval and that it was certainly not just a suggestion or I wouldn't have tried calling over and over again. I get dead air - of course he wasn't apologetic or even saying a single word!
Keep in mind we specifically renewed our home warranty for an additional year because we knew we would have water heater issues due to the sheer age of the unit. I never anticipated that the awesome company that our TERRIBLE home warranty company dispatched would treat their customers like they were liars. I didn't even bother checking this company's reviews when the company dispatched them because I had an inkling it would be a one-star company with terrible customer service. Emergency Plumbing Services certainly held up their end of that bargain!

These guys came out and fixed a massive leak on a rental property that I manage. They helped us get new cabinets and counters in. I have spoken with Mike over there and he has always been very courteous and professional.
I've read the other reviews, I know they used to have some other employees there who maybe weren't as good or on top of it. I can't speak to that, all I know is that Mike has helped me with this property on several occasions over the years and I would highly recommend them.
Keep in mind too, most people who have good experiences don't take the time to write reviews. Generally, when someone is pissed about something they are quicker to write a review, which is why you probably don't see any other good reviews here. No disrespect to the other reviewers' experiences, just my 2 cents.

I'm surprised to see these poor reviews. This company was sent to me through my home home warranty First American. And I have had an excellent experience with them. The guy who came out (Bernard) to the house was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I actually had to squabble with my home warranty company to assign another plumbing job at my house to Emergency Plumbing Services. They had assigned the other job in questions to Accurate Plumbing who were absolutely horrible. Hopefully someone reading this will give these guys a try over the horribly named ""accurate plumbing."" I""m going to go write them a negative review right now. It sounds like everyone basically has the same frustrating issue with their home warranty as I'm having with mine. I called them and demanded to have my issue assigned to this company because they were a thousand times better than that other place. These home warranty companies need to do some quality assurance research before they send just anyone out to your home. My experience with Emergency Plumbing Services was a solid 4.5 stars.

Had a serious drain problem. I had been up all night bailing water from the sink waiting for another company to show up for a call back. (As this was a reoccurring problem) Bernard McCurry showed up at 7:00 pm that evening and worked 2 hours disassembling the entire kitchen drain system. He cleared the line and rebuilt the system and refused payment from me, saying that the other company would be billed. He could have billed me AND the previous company & I'd have been none the wiser! Great service, good guy. Highly recommend.

These guys were assigned to me by my home warranty service and they did a great job. Hassle free service. Replaced my water heater without issue.

This company has TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I was contacted by EPS through my home warranty program (also terrible, btw). They offered to have a plumber come to my home on a Wednesday from 3-7. I asked if I could make sure it was closer to 7 because I wouldn't be home from work until about 4:30. I was told then that there was no availability that day. My next appointment was Monday, 3-7. I accepted and it was explained to me that the plumber would call 30 minutes before he arrived. Monday rolls around and I wait...and wait...and wait. At about 5:30 or so, I call the main office to see what the situation is. I spoke with someone (Dan, maybe?) who was able to confirm my appointment, but when I asked if he could give me anything more specific as to when the plumber would arrive, I was not given one of two acceptable answers. I would have been happy with ""Let me call the plumber on the road and see if he's able to tell me anything about his route"" OR ""I'm sorry, but due to the nature of our business, we cannot provide anything more specific than that."" Instead, I was told, ""He'll call 30 minutes prior to arrival."" Not much help at all. At 6:45 I just assume he's not coming and reschedule for the next Wednesday, 3-7. Now it's Wednesday and I wait...and wait...and wait. At 7:00 I assume he's not coming and get ready for bed. At 8:30 I get a phone call from the plumber asking me if I still want him to come (it'll be about 45 minutes). I accept, and wait...and wait...and wait. Sometime after 9:30 he arrives and diagnoses the problem. I expect to hear from someone on Thursday...or Friday...or Monday. Nothing (surprise, surprise). I contact my home warranty company on Monday and was told that Mike, the supervisor, was going to get to the bottom of this and call me back in a few minutes. 9:30 Monday night and still no phone call.
I can't comment on their quality of work because it never got done. I can't imagine how difficult it might be to get it scheduled, though.
Use at your own risk!

Straight Garbage!!!
I wish you could rate negative stars so I'll give them the lowest you can give, even 1 star is to deserving!
-First; of all shows up supper late about 7:30 pm. Even though I scheduled way in advance!
-Second I can tell he doesn't even want to be there, by his demeanor. And kept talking about how tire he was
-Third; complain abolut his las job were he had to remove some instilation and now he's itchy cause of fiber glass (another hint that he didn't want to be there)
-Fourth, he fell asleep!! I'm dead serious I took a picture and will be posting it soon.
-Fifth; He completly half assed the job and told me something different than what he said last time.
This was the second time he came out to my house, 1st time he couldn't do no work because he need access and my home warranty stipulates that I must provide access for the plumber to fix my bath/spa. So the very next day had someone come over and cut a hole 15""x12"" in the side of the tile of the tube so he could have access to the motor. Because his skinny butt said he could get to it through the access panel on the side of the house, and he would need to be able to remove the motor.
When he was done he said it was something completly different than what he had said earlier, he didn't remove the motor. He didn't even attempt to fix anything!
Unfortunately I got stuck with these people because thats who my home warranty contracts through. If your Home Warranty contracts through these guys cancel them. More of a headache than it's worth!
