Patrick C.I was referred to Emergency by First American Home Warranty after they sent out Frank from Gennaro's Plumbing who mis-diagnosed the failure in my bathroom sink and didn't want to do any work at all. Brandon was my technician and he was awesome! I highly recommend getting Brandon as the technician if you call emergency for service. He was courteous, knew what he was doing, and fixed the problem instead of trying to avoid doing the work. Most of all, I appreciate that Brandon was honest.
This has to be THE BEST & most HONEST company around!
They we are true professionals from the first phone call. My hot water heater started leaking on Sunday. I called my warranty company immediately and they scheduled Emergency Plumbing and Rooter. Brandon came out first thing Monday. My mom was home alone and I was trying to rush home from work because I did not feel comfortable leaving her alone at home with a stranger. But she called and assured me that he was a ""very nice gentleman"" and put him on the phone with me. After speaking to him very briefly, I knew that my mom was in good hands.
Brandon told me that my water heater would have to be replaced as well as some of the pipes and other things. He wasn't sure what would or would not be covered by my warranty but would go back to his office and write up an invoice, look up the warranty information and someone would give me a call and let me know.
I got a call first thing the next morning informing me that absolutely everything was covered by my warranty and that Brandon would be back at my house by noon on Wednesday to do the work.
He arrived promptly and finished all of the work in less than two hours.
This time I did get to meet him and he was an absolute gentleman and the total professional.
The customer service I received from everyone that I spoke to on the phone and the customer service that my mom and I received from Brandon was A+!
We would wholeheartedly recommend this great company to anyone who wants honest and reliable work done on their home.
This company was dispatched to us by our 2-10 Home Warranty, which we've had since our home was built in 2004. We've had our share of both good & bad companies sent to our home over the years. I've found that with plumbers, it's been hit or miss. Fortunately, this time it was a hit! I discovered our garbage disposal started leaking just before midnight on Tuesday. I submitted a service request online to my warranty company first thing Wednesday morning. I received a call from Emergency Plumbing/Rooter Weds morning just before 11am offering to be at our home between 1pm & 3 the SAME DAY! The receptionist woman was very friendly and helpful. I explained I was at work, but my husband was home and needed to take my son to karate by a certain time. She assured me the plumber would be completed by then. She asked which number she could call/text with arrival time updates. My husband said they were not only prompt, but they sent several texts keeping him posted of the arrival time. Within 15 minutes or so (my husband's guesstimate on time frame since I wasn't there), we had a brand new garbage disposal installed. No hassle, no back & forth over our warranty. He said the plumber was very professional, courteous and clean with his work. I'm glad this is the company our warranty company sent to us. I think it's important to be familiar with what a warranty covers and the limitations of the servicing company. Like I mentioned, I have had shady companies and even a plumber asking us to lie about water damage to get the warranty company to pay more for work that didn't need to be done. Unbelievable. This company has proven to us to be reputable and reliable and I will definitely request we be sent this company again when we are in need of plumbing work in the future.
Harry G.I had the same issue has everyone else. Apparently, this company came out, told my wife that we weren't up to code on the water heater replacement. When in actuality we were as I got the city inspector to come out to get the permit to replace the water heater. I confronted the company, and they said these are things we recommend for liability purposes. Long story short, they made my a bill of $755 out of pocket I had to pay. I went ahead, and got another plumber in my area to replace the entire water heater for 987.00 (all parts and labor) without AHS. Will be sending it in to AHS for reimbursement. I recommend all people to seek alternative contractor and get reimbursed by AHS rather than use such terrible unethical company. People and companies like this that give Plumbers a bad name.
Dora K.EVERYONE THAT HAS BEEN SCAMMED BY EMERGENCY PLUMBING AND ROOTER and AMERICAN HOME SHIELD please file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!! We have to stop those people from swindling other people out of their hard earned money.
I too am in the same shoes as everyone else. I have had a broken water heater for over 2 weeks because AHS refuse to send out a different plumbing service and Emergency Plumbing is charging me $500 for ""modifications."" Please help me and yourselves by filling a complaint with BBB. Thank you!!
Beth S.I was a little nervous when I saw the other reviews. This company was sent out by American Home Shield. Our tech, Chris, got to us right away and went above and beyond the call of duty to get us up and running with a new hot water heater. There are always a few more hoops to jump thru when dealing with a 3rd party like a warranty company, but the tech worked hard to get our repair authorized before the weekend. Very pleased with their service!
Jeff V.We had someone come out for a leak we had behind the wall. We specifically advised the problem we are having before they sent someone. When the guy came out we were told he does not have the proper equipment to repair our problem, we would have to reschedule. I took a day off from work to get this done. This is the company that American Home Shield forces on you. I had to call another plumber and pay out of pocket. Keep the one stars going guys! You are doing great!
Wow i had the same problem as everyone else. Have American home shield. They sent these $&@($* out to my house. All Chris did was bad mouth American Home Shield telling me they weren't gonna pay anything. On top of that he didn't do an assessment saying he was going to call me back. Never got the call. Called AHS they tell me oh we'll call him now and tell him to call you right away. Never got that call either Called them back to let them know I still havent got a call. They begin to tell me what they said they told me. But wait if they told me anything. Why am I still waiting on a call? I told her I DID NOT want these lying ass ppl at my house cause it would not be a happy site. And I don't trust them to be in my house and do a good and complete job of something I don't even know what's wrong. She understood and sent another Co. out. Now I get a bill saying I owe them? Can't wait to get on the phone for this one. If AHS says I have to pay them for services never rendered then im thru with them too.
Joni A.Not happy with the company. I called them because a faucet that they installed was very loose on my sink. I told them when it was installed. They set an appointment. One hour before they were to arrive, I got a call saying that they faucet was installed a couple of days outside of their warranty. Why not tell me that when I set the appointment. They waited until the day of the appointment and told me it would be another $85.00. I cancelled the appointment. Why pay another $85.00 if they didn't install it correctly the first time.
8/12016. This is a live review. Will update with final resolution.
I also have AHS, who appears to use sketchy contractors, this business being one.
At this time have been waiting a week for ""no service"". Complaining to AHS does no good.
STAY AWAY from this company and AHS.
