I had a bad toilet clog in the basement and had a prior estimate that was astronomical. Fortunately I called Emerald Plumbing next. It was a very quick repair. The technician introduced himself and listened to my problem description. James was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. He was kind enough to explain my problem and probable cause. I am truly a Happy Customer. I would definitely request Emerald again in the future.

This is a horrible company. The took 5 weeks to do a job that should have taken 3-4 days. The damaged my sheetrock walls by piling up concrete debris they jack hammered up from my floors to put in a bathroom drain line. They stepped thru my ceiling creating a large hole. used my jack hammer because they didn't have one. Never showed up when they said they would. If they show up run for the hills.

The experience with Emerald Plumbing has only gotten worse, which I didn't think was even possible. Not only have they continually broken promises to reimburse us for the damages they caused to our house (over the course of months), they have also proven to be just downright dishonest and unethical. Most recently, said they would meet my wife in a public place to give her the check - made her wait in the cold with our 9 month old baby but never showed up and wouldn't respond to messages. Really just inexplicable behavior.

This company did a really good job replacing our sewer/waste pipe. They gave us a bid that was competitive, but they were more helpful than the other company about explaining our options. They dug up the yard, put safety devices around the area while waiting for the inspector, came back to put plywood over the hole when it snowed, got the inspection, and then filled the hole back up. They put most of the plants back where they came from and seeded the lawn. Given the weather problems in the 2013/2014 winter, there were a lot of communications back and forth -- not always smooth, but it always worked out fine.

After having a not so good experience with another plumbing company, I was left in a state of emergency when my hot water heater stopped working. Almost every company I called quoted me an appointment for 2-3 days later, and Emerald was the ONLY company that was willing to come that same day. The office manager Don was great and made sure that I was taken care of. He really listened and made me feel like I mattered and was not just ""another customer"". The tech came as soon as he could, and he even called to let ms know when he was en route. Once he arrived, he was SO pleasant, and took time to explain to me what the problem was and how to have it addressed. By that evening, I had my hot water back and was more than pleased. I would not hesitate to use Emerald Plumbing again should I have any plumbing issues in the future. They were great!

I contracted Emerald Plumbing to replace my water service line. They had the best price and performed well despite some unforeseen difficulties encountered. I was a bit hesitant because of some negative reviews on Yelp so asked for references from the company. Emerald provided four customers with similar service needs and all spoke highly of the firm. Crew was great, competent, considerate and careful. I will definitely hire Emerald again if I need plumbing work.

Took my money and ran!
I needed to fix a break in my water line. Emerald proposed to fix the water line and restore the yard where the excavation took place. An unfortunate result of the excavation was that most of the yard damage occurred to my neighbor's yard. The first week after the excavation I contacted Daryl daily, since he promised the yard restoration crew would be out the next day each time I called. The excuses why the job wasn't completed included the yard being too muddy to simply forgetting to schedule them. By this point, since I made the mistake of giving them my credit card number, it was charged the full amount even though the work had not yet been completed. After a few days without any progress on completing the work, my neighbor voiced his concerns over the condition of the yard. The hole was not filled completely and allowed water runoff to pool. It's a muddy mess that now is a mosquito breeding ground. I understand his concern, because he has small children and pets that used to play in the area.
After 24 years in the Navy I understand professionalism and this company does not have it. After over three weeks of this I needed to take action and resolve the issue. In addition to the $2000 repairs, I spent another $300 to hire a landscaper to finish the job Emerald agreed to in writing and was paid to fix. So much for customer satisfaction guarantees and written contracts...If you are looking for a reputable business, don't stop here and keep looking!
