I've had the worst experience with Elmer's HVAC services, at a time when ac is critical and desperately needed. I've spent over 3k in the last two months and they can never fix the issue with my AC, nor will they ever call me back with any type of communication. The techs are all very nice but nice doesn't cool my house down. They all tell me that my ac is running amazingly and leave after they've so call completed their job, and I'm calling them back a day later that my house temp inside is reading 93. My family and I are having to suffer thru this heat because this company is not capable of fixing what they've been hired to fix, and they want to upsell me on the constants, with them wanting me to buy a new unit or more parts. I'm not an AC pro nor a licensed HVAC tech so like an idiot I believe and trust every word the tech says upon that is attempting to fix my AC. This trust is now broken and will never give this company a thumbs up. I will never recommend them so I apologize if I've ever promoted this company as a fair and good quality of a company to hire for your HVAC needs.. I've recently met a couple of their former customers that wish they would've known sooner prior to me hiring Elmer and his staff, Cause they've had the same issues with Elmer, but with other services related to plumbing. I recently saw a testimony of Elmer talking about his mom and how she would be proud of him for his work ethic and his company's work integrity.. At this very moment I'm feeling that he's lying about that too.. Worst part is that I wanted to believe in that testimony but his company's actions state something completely different.. Elmer and Lorenzo, Attitude reflects leadership.. I'm extremely let down.
I think this guy must train his people to try to sell ice to an Eskimo before trying to fix/replace a unit! They were offering a special, as a lot of HVAC companies will do to try to "drum up business." There is one thing that I should say and that is that I live out where God lost His shoes(a rural area)and if I can steer clear of the big outfits, I will. If I can give my business to someone local, someone who also lives in a local area, who goes to church in the same community, whose kids go to school with your kids, someone whose livelihood depends on doing a good/honest job because he knows if he doesn't, he's soon out of work, and business.
The "kid" from Elmer's looked at everything and he diagnosis began like this, "we can replace the unit for $$$$, or we can do this for $$$$, having said that we can do $$$$, and on down the list went! I said thank you, paid him for the special offer, said, "thank you" and showed him to the door. He didn't understand why he was being sent on his way! That was 2 or 3 years ago and my system worked just fine and I had it serviced as I should and no one, not the least of all the guy I've used for 20 years gave me any dire news like Elmer's did. Don't use this guy, please!
JoAnna G.Anthony Borrego and his crew came out and installed an AC unit today they were all very professional, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. We're so glad that we went with Elmers A/C . It was a pleasure working with them, and also with Manny.
I highly recommend calling them for any air-conditioning needs that you have. They gave us a really good deal on replacing our AC unit.
Anthony is a great asset to this company besides having a great personality he's super knowledgeable in the air conditioning field. I also want to mention Joe, who is out here with him, another great employee as well very kind and had great manners.

Do Not USE! These people are a scam! We paid about 4K, to change out the collars and replacing parts on their recommendation! This was after they came to fix another problem they said we had. Well this is the result, the air ducts have holes the guys skipped vents and they overall made it worse than it was before. So we called and the guys came back out with their supervisor, who had airs not my problem attitude, but it is. Well guys stayed late and for their part we're really nice but didn't fix it! Left holes and now missing pieces. So we called in the early afternoon (around 2) to get this fixed AGAIN! We also requested to speak with manager or supervisor. We were assured someone would call. 5:30 rolls around we call again, they had a million excuses and of course no manager present because they are gone for the weekend but assured us some one would call next week. Oh and the before and after pictures of their work, conveniently never sent and when asked also responded with some time next week! All of this in 30 hours! Save yourself a lot of money and a headache, call anyone else! This company is Trash they charge a ton, take your money, and do horrible work!!

I wanted dto provide an updated review of the management from my review dated June 17th. While I do believe the service technician was the reason my compressor blew. The day after I wrote my 1 star review, Lorenzo from (Todd S.) Management contacted me directly and really worked to understand the issue, did some research and we were able to work out a reasonable solution and for that I am extremely appreciative of the Team and will work with them in the future.
Worst A/C company, they send out technicians that can't support your issues. Almost a week without normal A/C. Asked GM to contact me twice; no response. I bet their family is not without A/C.
Communication was great. Lupe, the technician, was very proffessional and kept me informed every step of the way. I own to homes and I am a loyal Elmers customer.
Update on Elmer's and our ac. The field supervisor and senior tech came over on Tuesday and did a full evaluation. They were very kind, informative and spoke on video-chat with my dad. They stand by the sizing of our unit and say it's just very dirty. It is very dirty, but we respectfully disagree with the unit sizing. They said since the thermostat was holding at 74 and it was 99 outside, that the unit was working. I tried to tell them once the 5 o'clock hour heat rolled it wouldn't hold lower than 76. Elmer's says as long as it's 75 or below during the 99 degree temp, that's their standard. Again, respectfully disagree, I doubt their own houses are set at 75.
Spouse and i are working on cleaning parts we can, with the amazing help of my dad! We cleared the drain line, cleaned the condenser and the vents inside. Still have to do the blower wheel, then get someone out for the duct cleaning and replace the plenum. Unfortunately for Elmer's, They won't be getting any more money from me. I disagree with their standards, and we will eventually have to upgrade our unit. Every time it's hot in my house, I feel very angry at them and this situation. If you expect your house to be under 75, do not call them.
After years of my ac NOT cooling properly after its install in 2016( it wont get below 75/76 on hot days) we finally deduced that the incorrect size for the sq footage of my house was installed. At 1991 sq ft, we should have at least a 3.5 ton ac, yet we were given a 3 ton because we didn't know to ask and TRUSTED they would do the RIGHT thing. The technician sat at my kitchen table, spoke to my HVAC tech father who lives out of state, and assured him we would be taken care of like his own daughter and son. Not once was the type/ size/ brand of ac discussed, they said ours was broken and needed to be replaced and we went with it. Only now do we realize we were duped, and as two disabled veterans, one being a combat veteran, I find this infuriating!
Additionally, shortly after the install, we needed them out to clear a drain pipe, and paid the $59 service fee. But wait, apparently we were part of the 5 *1*1 club so we were NOT supposed to pay service fees for 1 whole year. Once I realized this I called multiple times to get a refund, to be told sorry, we changed systems, we will look into it but it was never resolved and I gave up.
Recently the ac stopped working after a bad hail/lightning storm so I called them hoping something might still be under warranty. Unfortunately we came down with covid but the technician wasn't worried and still came to inspect. He spent 4 hours inspecting, taking pictures of all the issues, and recommended repairs ranging from $1k to over 6k! Having foggy covid brain, i wanted him to give me the photos and info so we could think about it all, but he wouldn't give me anything, hard copy or digital. How do I even know the pics he took were of my own system if he wouldn't share them??
Let's also not forget that after the installation, it was YEARS before they started contacting me for regular maintenance. And as a first time home buyer, we didn't realize that they should have been out at least annually after the install for routine maintenance!
My dad helped me call today (6/16/23) and spoke with the dispatch manager named Andre, he is sending a senior tech and/or field manager on Tuesday (6/20/23) I don't know what will come of this, we shall see. Giving two stars for now since Andre was very understanding today and took note of all of my concerns, otherwise it would be 1 star because I feel so taken advantage of.
I had high hopes for this company. My central AC unit was working great, just struggling to keep up when the temp got above 95. It would climb a few degrees from the 76deg setting to around 80 and then come back down in the evening. The tech that came didn't check anything on the system, I opened the attic he just peaked his head up there and didn't check anything. He put his equipment on the condensing unit, then went back to his company car were he sat for over an hour. He came back with recommend fixes ranging from $650 -$4,000. I had him charge the system. He left and the AC never was able to get to the 76 I keep it set at. Went to sleep and woke up in a sweat. The condensing unit froze over. They tried to send the same tech out the next day after I had requested a different tech. My system is still not working but have called a different AC company.

The other company Felix air Services was able to come out same day and fixed my AC. I showed him the picture I took of the reading from Elmers tech equipment after charging my system. He said what I suspected, the system was overcharged by a lot. The extra coolant was recovered and I couldn't be more pleased with Felix Air's service.
