We contacted Eli The Handyman to install two new toilets and an under-sink water filter. Patricia was very courteous in answering our questions and setting up our appointment. We were very happy with both the price and the service we received. Two people came - Joshua and Vladimir and they were very timely - able to come a little earlier than the originally scheduled time, which worked out perfectly for us. We found them to be courteous, polite, friendly, professional and very capable. Everything went efficiently and smoothly, and for the water filter, they were also able to remove an old saddle valve fitting that punctured the copper pipe before the shutoff valve and install a new shutoff valve for us. We had been concerned about that valve and were very happy it was properly taken care of. Based on this experience, we'd definitely recommend Eli the Handyman.

I have a condo in the Arcadia area that was built in 1980! All the lighting in each room had a chain with a plug.
With no attic to access he and his team had to cut through drywall and then had to repair. The kitchen and bathrooms had fluorescent lighting, the bathrooms had a drop down ceiling with plastic covers!
I also wanted a light over my kitchen sink which had to be wired from scratch!
Everything turned out really nice!
He and his team alway showed up on time, cleaned up after each time and I couldn't be happier!
I also had 3 heavy large mirrors hung.

I am 100% satisfied with Eli! From the beginning they were responsive, providing an estimate within 1 hour of my request. They also quickly responded to all follow-up questions. It was very easy setting the appointment date and time. On appointment day they showed up on time and ready to work. We had work done on three interior doors and a bathroom fan. The boys did a fantastic job getting everything in perfect working condition. They are also very diligent about cleaning up after the work is complete. The final bill was almost exactly as quoted; no surprises. I highly recommend them and will be sure to call them when I'm ready to lay an epoxy coating in my garage. Nice to work with people who are responsive, on time, and do what they say they will do.

We contacted Eli The Handyman about the possibility of replacing our bathroom fan with one that included a heater and replacing some quirky LED track lights we'd had installed four years ago in place of fluorescent bulbs.

Because of all the electrical uncertainties, we tried first to contact a Yelp-recommended electrician, Top Notch Electric. Dale replied to our questions regarding an estimate for the project that his fees were $70 per hour, so we paid him his one-hour fee to come to our home in order to view the project and provide an accurate estimate. He sent a text the following day with a confusing, extremely high quote. When I asked him to follow-up with an email that included more detail, he went dead. What a wasted of money that was for an estimate that was unintelligible!

BY CONTRAST, I went to Eli's site, ensuring that this kind of work was covered by his firm, uploaded photos of the work we wanted done and got very precise quotes (for rather less than Dale at Top Notch Electric had confusingly indicated). We accepted the date for the installation, received a reminder call the afternoon prior, and welcomed Eli on the day of the project at the precise hour specified. He and his assistant executed the project perfectly and vacuumed up afterward. I just love his work, and his business system even more!

I strongly recommend that you consider Eli The Handyman for your upcoming home remodeling/repair projects.

Long overdue review. I've been using Eli for over 4 years - everything from small plumbing jobs to our master bath remodel. His crew is always on time, clean and respectful. I've recommended him to my family who also continue to hire him. I highly recommend Eli The Handyman.

Like many of you I read the reviews for Eli and decided to use their services. I have had great success using Yelp for recommendations during our move to Arizona. Not this time.
We needed five interior doors replaced in our home. Made arrangements for the work to be done. The guys came out and installed the five doors and handled installing A/C registers. After the work was done the Master Bathroom door was sticking plus we had carpet installed and the doors needed to be shortened. They came our and performed the work for the carpet and one sticking door plus, I paid to have two sliding doors modified to work with the carpet. Things are OK until this point.
After the recent rains the Master Bedroom door and the M. Bath door expanded and are not operational at this time. I say this is because the doors were not cut properly in the first place to allow for normal operation. Eli disagrees and claims there is expansion and contraction in a home they cannot control I agree with this statement however, it does not apply at this time. If the doors were cut with the proper gap in the first place we would not be having this problem. If his statement was accurate I would have five doors with problems not two.
Long story, shortened. Eli offered to come back out for $65 and fix the problem. Problem here is I do believe I do not owe them anything and they owe me two doors that work.
Will I hire Eli's crew again, no. Will I pay his company to handle work I already paid for, no.
Eli's company is not the only one that I had to call and get a problem remedied during this move. His company is the first that did not meet my expectations and has tried to charge me for completing a job. It is how a company handles a problem that tells you whether or not you should work with them. Eli's company failed the test in my opinion.
After reading the above review, I have thought about the whole situation and changed the review to one star. I was definitely too generous with two.

Finally! A reliable, honest and timely handyman that actually has integrity. Office immediately returned my request for a quote... met Eli at property next day and had a written quote within hours. Project completed on schedule and at quoted price! Respectable, polite, and clean employees that did great work and cleaned up after themselves. I have a few more projects lined up for Eli and I would highly recommend him.
