The company I work for uses Elge Plumbing regularly for all of their plumbing needs. Back in February during the sub-zero temperatures the pipes in my house froze, I did not have a regular plumber that I used so I decided to give Elge a call. I was expecting them to be too busy with all of their regular customers having the same issue and short staffed because it was a Sunday afternoon. I gave it a shot and left a message with the answering service, to my surprise I was called back within a few minutes and told they could have a tech out within two hours. The tech arrived within the two hour window and was nothing but professional. He promptly got to work thawing my pipes and had my water restored in no time. He also did something to the pipes to prevent it from happening again. I was afraid of what this was going to cost me for an emergency service on a Sunday, but to my surprise again it was completely reasonable! I could not be happier with my experience with Elge, I highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs.

My condo association limited me to only using Elge Pluming. I called for an appointment for a yearly HVAC maintenance. The operator could not give me a price on how much the service would cost, promised to cal back but never did.

A tech was to show up any time between 9am-10am. At 10am no one had showed up. I called and was told they were running late and would show up by 11. I called again at 11 and was told they could not come today because of another emergency service they had to attend. I made an appointment for another day.

A tech was to show up any time between 9am-10am. At 9:30am I called to make sure someone was coming. I was told that the techs phone was not working so he had gone to Verizon and could not come. I asked to speak with management. Someone called me back and told me that they can have someone come by at 11. No apology, no discount, nothing. Who knows if they would have shown up. I refused service and would never do business with Elge Plumbing!

They never called to give me a price update. They never called to tell me they were running late. They never called to tell me they had to cancel. They never said Sorry.

This company is dishonest and not trustworthy. I called for a simple problem, was told that they charged $85/hour (minimum charge) and 1/2 hour travel. The plumber was at the home for 8 MINUTES and I was billed $170 for labor and $68 for Equipment to fix a stuck drain stop. When I inquired they denied the labor charge and said it was a 2 hour minimum. When I mentioned it took 8 MINUTES they said it took one hour - they had GPS on the truck - how stupid, what does that tell you except that the truck is parked.
I will NEVER use them again and don't suggest anyone else do.
