Our water heater alarm went off at 4:30 in the morning. We called Elek at 7am and Chuck was here by 7:30. New water heater installed and working by 10:30. Highly recommend Elek for any type of plumbing and in an emergency they are spot on.

We had a block in our sewer line (from bathroom to the septic -a distance of 30 feet or so - with an easily accessible clean out pipe). My wife called Elek. They would not give her a rough quote over the phone. After waiting a couple of hours past when they said they would be there.... A young man showed up and before he even started any work, he handed my wife a bill for just over $400! I never got his name.. just asked him to pack it up and leave. The next day we called Roto-Rooter (not a fan of the big companies).. They told us what a snake job would cost . They did the same job quickly and efficiently for $170.

Our water heater had broken down and was leaking. David from Elek showed up and was very professional in dealing with the matter as well as making future recommendations for a new heater. It was installed the next day. Prices are competitive and I will strongly recommend their plumbing service!

After having two other companies come out who were unsuccessful in locating the blockage in our drain, Mr. Marshall had it cleared in under an hour. Where the others gave a verbal estimate to dig up our yard to find the blockage, he cleared it at 1/4 the cost estimate from the others. Good company, excellent plumber.

First off I never have written a review here. I requested service from Elek Plumbling. Not a rush job but wanted to get an outside spigot replaced if they had time. It was great that came out the same day. I requested a estimate on the phone and was advised that the tech would let me know before the work was started. There was a $69 truck roll fee that needed to be paid even if I did not have any work preformed. Once the tech showed up he looked at the job and stated there is a flat rate fee for the work of over $300. God, looking at this problem the job should have taken no more then 30-40 mins and parts where around $40. The parts where not on the truck and to run to the store. Came back and work was compete in short order. The tech did not test the work and when I hooked up a hose the spigot was leaking everywhere. Had another tech dispatched to fix the problems.
What gets me is the fact I asked for a price and was not given one on the phone even though it was a flat rate job, yet was still on the hook for the $69 if I did not want the work done once I found out the price. The price of the work was, in my opinion, more then double what should have cost.

I will say that the techs where professional as well as the call takers.

****Update**** The owner of Elek called me and seemed shocked by my experience. He has refunded me all of my money.

Chuck was very efficient! He went above and beyond to make sure our apartment was fixed and left it spotless. He was very personable and explained everything to us every step of the way. He offered suggestions on how to maintain clear pipes as well. He went above and beyond! Overall pricing was not bad at all for the quality of the service. Great company, will definitely be recommending to others in the area!

The definition of professionalism

This was probably the best experience I've ever had with a service related company. From my initial contact with the company, to the dispatch of the service technician, each person was well spoken, polite, knowledgeable and professional. The time from my initial call to the time the technician arrived was under 2 hours (2 days before Christmas!) I was kept informed as to the time the technician would arrive and informed of the work that needed to be done and how much it would cost. The technician was obviously experienced and very knowledgeable. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The technician at my request, did more work than was originally requested and was eager to make sure I was satisfied with the work he did before he left. Needless to say, I was extremely satisfied, and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I can.
