Drain Doctor promises service within 45 minutes in most cases. In my case they promised within 90 minutes. After 2 and a half hours went by I called the office and they said they left a message for me on a wrong number and now couldn't service the drain until the next day. Totally unacceptable. I wish I had read the other Yelp reviews before I called Drain Doctor.

I called another plumber and they never called back, but when I called drain doctor to let them know my shower was clogged, they were out to my home in 30 minutes. Brain was helpful. He explained everything. Gave me an estimate. Then unclogged the drain in a short time. He honored the discount in the yellow pages and gave me a senior citizen discount too. I am 71 and on disability and he rescued me in no time at all. Brain did a great job with a 90 day guarantee. I am pleased! Thanks Drain Doctor.

DO NOT USE DRAIN DOCTOR IN THE CONCORD AREA!!!!!!

on a sunday am my toilet was backing up into my tub. i called a plumber that i've used and trust. his policy is to call back in 5 min. i didn't know if he'd be working on a sun....so, said if i didn't hear back, i'd call the yellow pages.

when i didn't hear from him, i picked the drain doctor . they offered a senior discount. dispatcher said they'd be here in 45 min....didn't happen. had to call back to see where tech was on route. said he'd be here in another hour. understandable in terms of previous job. in the meantime the plumber i like called to apologized that he'd missed my call. he said the mainline clearing shouldn't be over $90-$120 and to be aware of that.

when the tech finally arrived to a huge mess, he had a very thick chinese accent and a speech impediment that made communication totally impossible. he said because the house was so old, the pipes needed to be replaced, but that would be several thousand dollars....so, he could clean it with the special water technique....which would be $800, but $650 with the senior discount. it was such a mess and i felt trapped so said ok.

i then called ""honest plumber"" who advised me to tell the guy to leave....""he's not honest. get him out of there. you are being taken advantage of"". he said the water technique is not used very often and mostly for restaurants. so, i called the company and asked to talk to the manager. as usual, they are always in a meeting or something...however, he finally came on the line and defended the water technique, asked to talk to the tech. they spoke in chinese, so i don't know what transpired. at any rate, they knocked the price down $100 because i ""was a nice person"". then the tech showed me an check the last person had written for $550....which just told me they were raking in a lot this am by doing the water technique for everybody.

he finally finished the job and left. my assumption is that the work is adequate but, the ""honest plumber"" then told me that i'd been totally ripped off and they ""weren't honest""

so, there ya have it...DON'T USE THESE GUYS!!!!!

TERRIBLE experience with this company. The dispatcher said the plumber would be out in 45 min. , but didn't show up til 3 hours later. By this time the drywall was soaked and our ceiling getting ruined due to a leaky pipe. When their ""plumber"" finally showed up, he didn't even take a look at the problem -- instead, told us we needed a $395 leak detection inspection which he wanted to schedule for the next a.m. as water continued to leak from our ceiling, filling up a bucket below. We were so upset we called a local plumber (Benjamin Franklin franchise in Concord) who was at our door within a half hour and found the leak in the pipe within 5 minutes. He fixed the problem within an hour for $238. We will NEVER call DRAIN DOCTOR again - what a waste of an afternoon waiting for them, not to mention the extra ceiling damage the waiting caused.
