Can you give zero stars? Calls at last minute to cancel. I'm not happy. I receive text from Eldridge, ""Boo hoo wait two more days""

Told Eldridge about the review I posted (above). His response, ""Never got one job of yelp because of people like you who are on yelp""

Latest response, ""Hahaha, that's going to put me right out of business""

Told him I was continuing to update the review with what he was posting. Response, ""Perfect your as predictable as they come at least now everyone will think it's funny and a prank....hahaha""

Now, ""It's great and I'm glad you have zero friends on there...hahaha""

""I think you should try to be a more reasonable human being and realize that things come up this way you won't smell like shit for the rest of your life..""

I have been in my house for 20 years and am finally getting the master bath sinks put in. Not only did Eldridge cancel at the last minute he is now threatening me with going to the plumbing inspector as he is insisting something, which was done by a licensed plumber when the house was built, is not up to code. (ps. Eldridge has never been in my house).

""Complain all you want my yelp master you will be getting a final inspection over there trust me this is what I do for the last 22 years""

Called Eldridge Plumbing & Heating in Ashland as my heater was not working at home. They came and just cleaned and said the heater was old and the part was not available and had to be ordered and charged $165 just for looking - said the part will cost $500 plus. When I asked the make and model to compare online - the owner got annoyed and yelled at me and said we research and order part for you else you go fix it yourself. Mean horrible person and bad service.

We scheduled an appointment with this company to check out a house my wife and I purchased. After a run around over the phone that took hours we settled on a time from 12-1. We even called back to reconfirm time. They called me the next day at 10:55 and said they were at the house which is 30 minutes away, I told them I would call me Realtor and drive up and be there in 30. The rude guy on the phone then told me he wouldn't be there and we wouldn't see him today. He refused to admit his mistake although you could tell by his voice he knew he was wrong. I can't imagine such terrible customer service being acceptable. I would recommend never even contacting this company.

Called these guys to plow my driveway after the most recent storm. They plowed more of my lawn than they did the driveway. I would say the driver did about 60% of the driveway - never touched the area near the garage. Very unprofessional and expensive. Would not recommend this company for ANYTHING based on their lack of ability to plow a driveway.

Eldridge Plumbing offers snow plow services in addition to plumbing and heating work. They had been my plumber for the last few years, and I signed them up for snow plowing before last winter. It didn't snow much last year, but they handled the little snows we had just fine. This year, and for the first time, I called to question a $35 charge for sand on one of the bills, because there wasn't so much as a spec of sand on my driveway (and they hadn't used it before either).

The very next storm was the big blizzard of 2013, and they didn't show at all. I called 2 times after it stopped snowing, and each time the owner told me we'll get to you, we're just backed up. I completely understood given the magnitude of the storm, but when a full day passed after the end of the storm and they still hadn't come, I called a third time. This time, the owner said he wouldn't know when he'd be there, because he's still first finishing up his customers who don't question his accounting practices, and added that even if he could make it, there's a good chance the snow would be too much for his truck to handle. He then told me I'd be better off calling a company with a bobcat to dig me out. Not a good way to treat a long standing customer who's probably given his business more than $2000 over the years.

I can't speak to their plumbing and heating skills (though others have), but their driving STINKS. They just nearly ran me and my eight-year-old son over with their big red pickup truck as we were crossing a street in the crosswalk. And from what others have said online, it sounds as if their plumbing and heating are as bad as their driving!
