I used them about 16years ago. And Ed is a scammer. He scammed us for around $15,000 -20,000 ! Please, please DO NOT use him! We had a master bathroom done by him. It took 3 months to finish.! Afterwards we discovered the faucet to the tub was in the wrong place and the finishing tile was missing throughout the bathroom. Overall we were ripped off and the job was not done properly or efficiently. We tried to take him to court however the IRS and Ferguson or American standard were after him too ! This was NOT a cheap loss for us! During the remodel the shower door installer and the cabinetry company told us that we actually owed them. .....after we had already paid Ed!! unbelievable! Never, never use this company!
Do NOT use them. We did and they said they replaced all the cooper pipes in the house. Come to find out later they never touched the bathroom and now the cooper pipe was leaking causing us to rip up the entire bathroom. Also at the beginning of the work we gave him a check and HE ALTERED THE CHECK FOR MORE MONEY! On top of that we learned that he is NOT LICENSED! So when he wrote the ""contract"" it is not valid cause he cannot write one cause he's not licensed. In addition no where on the contract has the license number which after research the state says it has to be on there. When calling him back to ask for our money back, giving him the option to do the right thing, before going to court and the home commission office he was dumb enough to say no to us as well as saying he's still doing business without a license all after a rant about being me being a gay person!
If I could give a negative star I would. This guy (Ed Lewis) is a crook. Asked me to pay up front for a dishwasher seal plus the service to install when the part came in (I don't know what I was thinking) and has not returned after many phone calls and promised appointments. That was three months ago. I have filed a small claim suit against him. Avoid at all costs! BBB has given them an F rating.
3 weeks ago I discovered I had a leak in one of my bathroom showers. I called EJ's and they came right over. My problem was I had company coming in to town in 1 week and had only 1 shower for 6 people. I was overwhelmed when Ed Lewis (the owner) said he and his guys would get right on it. Well they did, I was able to use the shower and love the work they did, it looks awesome!!! Thank you EJ's for getting it done so quickly, I couldn't be happier with the results!! Hopefully I won't have any more plumbing problems but if I do, I know who to call.

Adelyn P.The workers that come to the house to do the work are very skilled, professional, and likable. However, as I understand it the Father passed on a few years ago and one of his sons is running the business. He does such a great DIS service to the hard working professionals on his team. The owner is one of the most unorganized people I have ever have had the misfortune to work with. He did not come out to do an estimate on the work which was to fix leaks and hook up our new gas stove which needed it's own gas line installed. The plumber who came out was unprepared to do the oven work so just fixed the leaks. He did a great job after having to go out for more than an hour to get supplies.
A second worker came to hook up the stove a week or more later. He did an ok job but stove was not flush against the wall as my husband requested so my husband had to fix that. The third visit saw the master plumber come to meet the inspector and do work the second guy did not do. The inspector failed the intstall because the owner didi not pull all the correct permits. He had weeks to pull the permits. Weeks have passed by this time and we have had to take off work each time. We had to wait an extra week because we were going to be out of town. Finally, on the final visit inspection was good. Without the efforts of the master plumber this would have been a total failure.
Finally the owner won't tell you when you call but he does not want to take credit cards. We don't use checks. We did not find out this was an issue until after the leaks for fixed on the first visit and I tried to pay. They took my card but said owner wouldn't like it. Owner kept bugging us for a check saying he was having recent troubles with his credit card company and was in the midst of switching companies. I later found out that he was lying because he told a friend of mine the same thing on his job a year earlier.
The owner is running the company into the ground. DO NOT use EJ Lewis Plumbing.
Stephanie T.Very disappointing. I had called and made an appointment a day before they were supposed to come out, and arranged to be off work so I could be at home to meet them. They never showed up, never called me, and when I tried to call them, I got sent to a voicemail with a full mailbox so I couldn't leave a message. Strange way to run a business!
Sue P.worst business ever they dont know what they are doing installed a water heater not to code dont answer phone calls very unprofessional would never never use ever
EJ Lewis Plumbing is not the plumbing company to use.
I needed to have a laundry tray pump replaced. I called this company at 9:00AM
on a Friday and told them the brand and model number of the pump that needed to be replaced. They said they would have a plumber at my house between 1:00AM and 3:00PM. The plumber called at 3:10PM and said they had been delayed on the job before mine because ""one of their helpers had installed all the plumbing fittings backwards"". He said he was leaving for my location, which was a twenty-minute drive. He showed up an hour later and upon looking at the job before him he declared that he could not get a replacement pump this late in the afternoon. However, I was told that they would be here at 9:00am the next day and would fix my problem by 10:00AM. At 10:00AM the next day
when nobody called or showed up, I called Len the Plumber who sent a plumber out and fixed my problem. So if you need a plumber, avoid EJ Lewis Plumbing.
I called EJ Lewis Plumbing on 12/5/2011 to inquire about the cost of a job. The gentleman who answered the call put me on hold for 3 minutes with the sound of a television program screaming into my ears. When he picked up, he asked for my name and address; I gave him my name but told him I needed to understand the price range for the job (installing a kitchen faucet) before giving him my address. He told me not to hold him to it but it might cost between $125 and $175 but could be higher if he had to change a valve or something; I know Home Depot will do the job for $125. He again asked for my address and I said let me call another two places...before I could finish the sentence, he just hung up. Let's just say I will not be calling him back.
Jamie B.The company's namesake passed away two years ago and his daughter has taken the helm and cleaned things up. She was kind enough to offer us a credit for the poor service we received from the two jokers in my previous review. That kind of decency deserves an A-OK rating.
