I was so pleased with EJ Plumbing today. I woke up to no hot water for my shower. Mike came out within hours of my call to the company. It turned out that I did not need a new water heater as I had expected. Mike did a simple fix and voila, hot water again. The office was courteous, prompt and very nice to work with. I will call them again!

I went with this plumber for a new water heater after calling about 8 shops and getting estimates. I spoke to Manny, the owner, about my issue and he suggested waiting until it got worse. (About 3/8 places said to wait). When I decided to do the work, I called them because he was so polite and informative, a real person answers the phone, and I didn't think I would be pressured to do anything extra when they were on site. (Lots of companies had a $300-500 range. But my incoming fittings and parts were newish and to code and Yelp and Nextdoor reviews made me think some companies would replace and charge for things needed or not)

When they got here they asked lots of questions and really took the time to look into it before making a recommendation. I decided to go for it and as expected my water heater replacement was strait forward. Only needed a few parts and no surprise costs. However the changes in pressure or increase in sediment in the lines caused a problem elsewhere. The two guys on site stuck with it trouble shooting the issue, running out for parts, etc. The end price was very reasonable given all the extra time put in. Things were kept clean and the work was done well.

This is a local family-owned and run business who does quality work. I would absolutely use them again.

Jairo did a great job. He was prompt, and when there was a mix-up at the office re: the work order (due to the office staff, not Jairo), he went and got the parts himself locally so that he could take care of the service call today as promised. Jairo was polite, explained things clearly, and left everything tidy.

We had a Sink Drain backup. EJ Plumbing scheduled it overnight via messaging for an 8am apt the next day. Tim came in and was amazing. He was very polite, courteous and explained the process. Will definitely be using EJ Plumbing again.

On a Friday night at 7pm we discovered our water heater was no longer working and we had no hot water. We made calls to a number of plumbing companies that offered 24 hours service 7 days a week. All of the calls went to voice mail or a central operator who offered to have someone call us back. EJ Plumbing was one of those calls and the only company to phone back on Friday night. One other company responded on Saturday, the other companies 4 days later have not responded. I spoke with the company representative who offered to have a new tank installed on Sunday morning. To complicate matters, our water tank was 75 gallons, and not typically carried in stock. Bottom line, EJ Plumbing was able to get a distributor to open its store on the weekend, get us a 75 gallon tank, and by 10am on Sunday we had hot water. The service from the first call to the install was very professional and fair. The pricing was more than fair. An excellent firm, great people, and they care about their customers and follow on work. I will use only EJ Plumbing going forward.

Set up an appointment for a sewer line check and installation of cleaning hole. We firstly gained a quote for cleaning only, however we found out that there is no cleaning hole, so we asked for a total price for the hole installation, inspection, and cleaning. We agreed with the quote and started the work.

I will give 5 Stars for the handyman, who is nice and efficient. Why only 2 stars? Here is why:

We had a disagreement with the bill since the actual job was installation and inspection only and it turned out that cleaning is unnecessary. However they refused to match the difference and claimed that price was same with or without the cleaning part. We were upset as this didn't make sense to us. Called the head office and the guy on the phone, probably a manager, threatened us to cancel our upcoming appointment with the City inspector, apparently they thought that it's hard for us to find another plumber in such short notice and tried to use this to push us paying for the amount which included the extra work that wasn't done at all. Very unethical move.

We switched to another plumber for our city inspection appointment anyway, luckily EJ is not the only plumber in the bay area. Even other reviews look positive, I don't want to risk my inspection with a company who threatens their customers.

I called EJ Plumbing to fix two leaks in the crawl space underneath our house. Two people came to provide an estimate, and Eddy (the lead) did a thorough inspection of both leaks as well as all the piping. Eddy explained that the piping was old and made of cheap materials, and would likely need to be replaced eventually for an estimated cost of $12K. The other option was to just fix the two leaks as a stopgap measure, for which each fix would cost $450. I opted to fix the two leaks for now. Eddy and his partner finished the job quickly, and only charged me $450 since fixing the second leak went much quicker than he had anticipated. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism, and won't hesitate to request him again if and when I eventually need to get the larger job done.

The general contractor that we hired for our bathroom remodel kept using hack job plumbers who didn't know or care what they were doing, so after redoing the rough plumbing 3 times and still getting it wrong, we made them hire EJ. Danny showed up with a straight up army of plumbers who did beautiful work and cranked everything out in 1 day. Even my GC was impressed. In particular, GC and I were super paranoid about the placement of everything in the sink areas because the cabinets for both bathrooms had all drawers. That meant the supply, drain and p trap all needed to fit exactly within the height of one drawer. This was one thing that the prior plumbers literally could not understand. Danny measured the cabinets and assured us that he would make sure they fit. I had nightmares about this for weeks but the cabinets were installed a few weeks later and fit perfectly!

Now it seems like we call EJ every other day. So far, we've had them replace a run of leaky drain pipe, replace and recess new supply and drain lines for the washing machine, replace a garbage disposal, install a filter to an instant hot water dispenser, and install a hot water recirculation pump. I didn't even know what half of these things were a year ago.

Plumbing work can get expensive, and it's scary to have to make expensive decisions when this is all so new to you. Sammy, who, together with Miguel (who was also great), handled the last couple of items for us, was super kind and gave us some advice to save on costs, which I very much appreciated. Thank you Sammy! Needless to say, we know who we're calling for all our plumbing needs going forward, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to our family and friends.

I had a great experience with EJ Plumbing. Sam and Miguel were professional, courteous, and timely when helping us install a new garbage disposal and recirculating pump. Would highly recommend for all plumbing needs!

I needed to have my water heater replaced urgently. Had great experience with EJ plumbing from sending quote request, getting callback, to arranging the actual work done. All these were done within 24 hours. The technicians Justin & Jiaro were here ontime. They are very professional, knowledgeable and had the job done within 2 hours with no mess. I had 3 different quotes to have my current water heater replaced and EJ plumbing has the most reasonable bidding pricing. Excellent customer service! Will definitely do business with EJ plumbing in the future when needs come up again.
