I had Einstein Plumbing out to do a minor repair to my home that I was selling. The dispatcher was friendly enough and offered a $33 service fee for coming out plus the cost of parts and labor. A few days before the appointment, I received a phone call informing me that they would need to reschedule because their plumber was injured. I rescheduled for a later day. The day of the new appointment, the plumber came out and caulked the toiled to the floor, adjusted a toilet bolt and tightened a valve for 20 minutes... then they charged me $234 for the work!!!

When I politely called their office to let them know I was disappointed with the excessive cost, I was told that ""Frank is there best plumber, and they charge more for quality work."" I am soooo glad I paid someone $600/hour to caulk a toilet and tighten a bolt. Thank heavens it has a quality guarantee.

I'll admit that a handyman could have handled my job, but with that in mind I would NOT RECOMMEND them to anyone who has a SMALL JOB. They wasted my time with the reschedule and then ripped me off and were unapologetic about it on the phone. It shouldn't be hard to do better than that....

Today I had the need for a plumber and turned to ""the Googler"" for advise. I found Einstein Plumbing and really liked the great reviews on their website. Since I live in Eugene, and their website said they provide service in this area, I decided to call them. The lady that answered the phone was very courteous and honest. However, I was informed that Einstein Plumbing, while advertising service in the Eugene area, did not actually have any plumbers in this area yet. They said that they were trying to expand in to our area, but as of yet, have not actually done so. This news prompted me to investigate further.

The reviews they have posted for the work they supposedly performed in the Eugene area were great. They even mentioned a Plumber named Justin who seems to do a fantastic job. I decided to look at some of the reviews from their other locations to see if they were consistent. Boy oh boy were they consistent. The same reviews, with the same plumber (Justin), were posted at each of their locations across Oregon and Washington. This Justin must be the best plumber in the world to have received so many great reviews, from all over the state, and all customers using the same wording in their reviews. The customers even seemed to have the same names. It appears that they have re-posted their reviews to each of their locations and just changed the zip codes to make it look like local reviews.

I then thought that I would look up their address to see where their offices are. This part of my investigation just made me mad. All of the addresses they have listed are the addresses to plumbing wholesalers. Really?!?!?! Using someone else's address?? Is that even legal?
With the misleading reviews, and the use of false addresses, this company is lying their way into your homes. I am so glad that I was able to find out what an untrustworthy company this was before I had them in my home. I would never hire such a crooked company. Zero stars are too many for these guys. DO NOT USE EINSTEIN PLUMBING!!!!
