false advertisement of coupon discounts that they refused to offer when ther arrived to do the work. and very poor and dismissive customer service when I asked why the discount shouldn't apply. would not recommend.
They sent a man over who entered my basement without a snake after I told him exactly where the drain is and typically how far the clog was. He instantly said it was $675(we paid $200 before and after this incident), I said, ""That is ridiculous and no thank you."" He responded, ""I hate this part, it happens all the time. Nobody wants to pay the estimate"" I told him it is a dishonest business practice, that is why. I asked him to leave and he said I had to pay $125 for the estimate. I told him this is a scam and to please leave. He refused again, even blocking me from opening the door. I will not be threatened in my own home and was prepared to have the police remove him. No wonder they retain a collection agency.
They asked $2400 for a new water heater. Got it done for $700. Tim, specifically, embarrassed himself.
Ok, I had an excellent service repair guy, named Jackie. The repair was simple but the cost was extreme over$200 to splice a wire on my ac. Then after I paid the bill my credit card was hacked and had to be cancelled. So, not sure if you want to use them or not. If you do be careful how you pay and make sure you ask for prices BEFORE they fix anything. He just fixed it without telling me how much it would be.
Complete joke... never again. Very rude, did not give a good estimate, didn't come prepared. Had to schedule to come back for the repair schedule time was between 8/9 they called at 845 saying that he to stop to buy supplies and would be here in an hour. Why stop to buy supplies aren't you a plumping company? Shouldn't you have the equipment with you?
I've used Edwards Plumbing and Heating twice over the past three years and I've only had GOOD experiences with them. my hot water heater needed work two or three years ago, and the tech who came out was very knowledgeable about hot water heaters. He explained in good detail to me about why & what was wrong, so I knew that the tech knew his stuff. the second time I called them was to have my plumbing snaked. They showed up and told me the price before getting started, even though the price was higher than expected, I didn't have many other choices at that point. The tech had my drain snaked in a matter of minutes and pulled out 23 years of grease and got the water flowing fast again. The only downside I had with the experience was that the tech didn't put down any plastic before hand.
We had Edwards Plumbing and Heating install a new sewer line in our backyard, a couple years ago now. Since the install of the new line, we have continued to have sewage backups in our basement. They have been out a couple of times to clean out the line and that usually buys us some time until the next backup. 3 weeks ago, we had the worst backup to date in our home. Resulting in the removal of carpet and furniture. Even worse than before we had the line replaced.
A tech came out that same day to assess the issue. He noted a couple spots in the line he was seeing tree roots. He wanted to take it back to his supervisor to discuss a plan of action, since this line is still new and under a lifetime warranty. We waited 2 and a half weeks for a call back and never received one.
I called this past Monday (4 days ago) and requested an update, as we had another large backup in our basement. I was informed the tech was off that day and he would call back the next day (3 days ago). I never heard from the tech. I called again yesterday (1 day ago) and was told the tech would have to call me back. Still no call.
The office staff are unable to provide me with any sort of update or contact information for the tech or the supervisor. I was told they would call us back today. Now here today is and no call back was completed. I call the office yet again and was told no one is available to speak with me and they would have to call us back. We can assume we will not be receiving a call back.
This company has failed us time and time again. They have been unable to provide us an update on their plan of action for a line they installed, that is still backing up. Every day this week, we continue to have a backup, clean it up, and it continues to occur, while they don't call us back.
We are at a loss on how to have this situation addressed, we're disappointed in the customer experience and would recommend to not use Edwards Plumbing and Heating for any services in your home.
These guys are a complete scam, call center run around, no management. They did more harm then good. Please avoid them at all costs.
This company is a scam company! I advise you not to do service with them. If I could give no stars I would. We have been dealing with them since February and it is now May almost June and they still haven't fixed the issue. We had a piping issue in our home that was making the water clog up in our kitchen and bathroom. We needed a cleanout installed then we needed the pipe from our septic tank all the way to the cleanout pipe to be replaced because it had rotted out and was leaking. We paid them over $5000 to replace the whole piping system which was about 25-30 ft of pipe work. The only person I can say did a great job was Robert who was the first person they sent out. He came, accessed the issue, wrote up the paperwork and said they'd be back to fix the issue. The next person they sent out was a Bill Walker who started the cleanout pipe but then said had to come back to finish. When we asked about the piping he said that wasn't his job and that Robert was supposed to do that and that we'd have to call the office to get him to come back and do it. He was very rude and first tried telling us everything was done before we brought up the pipe. We then caught hell trying to get someone back out here to look into the undone work and they sent Robert Nelson who inspected it and put a camera down the drain and confirmed we needed more work done but that he didn't have the tools to do it but wouldn't mind doing it. Next came Ryan Lee who came but again didn't have the tools to fix it and said we'd need to call and they should be sending someone out to finish. We tried rebooking for him to come back but the company then ghosted us and would not take any more of our calls. We kept calling until finally the owner Tony M. called to apologize and try to figure out what had happened. We then found out that they mixed the work done at our house up with another house who had their work completed which is why no one had been back to finish. They owner assured us he would send someone out to complete it and gave us his number to call if things didn't happen. A month went by of unanswered calls and inquiries when he finally got back to us saying someone was coming out on 5/22 to replace the piping as stated in our contract. That never happened we were assured someone would be here today 5/23 to finish but unfortunately they sent the same rude Bill Walker back who of course had attitude and said he wasn't doing it and he was only sent to replace 10 ft of pipe not the whole pipe. He stated no-one would be back to finish the job. Before he got there we again tried messaging and calling the owner who declined my call and then asked me to text him instead which I did to make sure this guy knew what he needed to do and that there wouldn't be any problems. After the guy left we tried calling and have still gotten no response from the office or the owner. We now have to resort to legal action since they have already collected our money and are refusing to come finish the job. Even though there is a written agreement with the pricing and video footage of the exchange. My grandparents are older and do not deserve the treatment this company is providing them. Save yourself the hassle and do not book them!
The guy showed up and provided quote of $1500 for the repair worth of $100. BIG SCAM of charging service call fee and flash their gadgets, just to show the highly inflated numbers for the services. Lack of knowledge on potential solutions and will rip you off(either through service fee or repairs). BEWARE of such companies. Not worth a single penny.
