If I can help just one family or person by letting them know of the poor business management, higher prices and totally unsatisfactory costumer service offered by Edwards Plumbing and Heating, I will feel somewhat better. 18 months ago we had a small flood in our basement (3-4 inches). Edward replaced the sump pump and put in a back up pump. Also dug a trench through the backyard to the pond. Very expensive at $6500.00. After several attempts to get a receipt, we gave up when calls were not returned and we were given the run around. Fast forward to last week. Our basement flooded again - this time 20-24 inches!!! We called Edwards again thinking they might have some guarantee and would not charge as much. WRONG! Again a new sump pump and special powered backup system was installed as well as a new hot water heater which was knocked out due to the flood. This work was $6656. Because of the flood our HVAC system also needed to be replaced. After receiving an estimate from Edwards and being told they would come the next day, we went with it. However, they did not show up for four days so I finally called another company who was $1500 cheaper, have me a better quality system and was prompt and efficient. If you want to save yourself a huge headache, DO NOT USE EDWARDS. I THINK THEY ARE VERY CROOKED AND UNRELIABLE. I hope this is helpful to someone.
Lawrence G.Last week I contacted Edwards Plumbing & Heating as my central A/C went out on a very warm Memorial Day, The company sent a technician, Jamie, to my home as we had agreed the evening before. He was prompt at the appointed time and very courteous. He wore shoe cover when working inside. He quickly diagnosed the problem and worked quickly and effectively to resolve and replace the item (capacitor). He explained the problem thoroughly and costs for repair. He was very good regarding expiation of the company's policies and standards. He was an excellent and effective employee representative of the Edwards Plumbing & Heating company. Count me as exceptionally pleased with is service!
We called Edwards Plumbing because we had a plugged drain and water in our laundry room. By the time they arrived we had raw sewage in another part of our basement. Our representative from Edwards stomped around complaining that we didn't have the right kind of drain opening. We repeatedly showed him the one used in past events. He refused to use that, instead used another. Claimed he had cleared the pipes, charged us $225 for 45 minutes of work and said he wouldn't provide a guarantee because we had ""some roots in the pipe"".
Their repair worked for only 4 days, at which point we were again having water in the basement. Called another service, they used the original drain we had pointed out and cleared the pipes. Another $250 but all is good.
I have called Edwards two times to complain and have been told a manager would get back to me. It has not happened in a week.
Do not use this service!
