Amazing! Thorough, thoughtful, consultative, careful, resourceful and I perceived all that only from the call I made on a Sunday early evening when both toilets weren't flushing and my shower was backing up.

Then the next day after taking his advise to call Napa Sanitation first, he came over as soon as possible to collaborate with the city and what needed to be done.

I mentioned his name to one of the SUPER people who works at Napa Sanitation and he said Darren is trustworthy, knows what to do, does it right, has all the right equipment and won't rip you off.

He kept me apprised of everything he was doing, what to expect in the future, how to avoid this going forward and was 100% sure he had done his job by telling me exactly what he did and what he found.

He is going to be one of my trusted people that I will depend on going forward. So lucky to have found him.

Darrin is amazing. He is kind, considerate, prompt, and an over-all great plumber. We've utilized him several times in the last 10 years and have been more then pleased with the quality of his work as well as his work ethic. I highly recommend him. If by chance you have to wait due to a high volume of jobs, he's definitely worth the wait. Today I was so grateful to have him squeeze me in between jobs. Thank you Darrin. Can't say enough about Darren.

This morning our toilet was making some ""bloop bloop bloop"" sound with air coming up in big bubbles. As this was happening, water started to back up into the bath tub with debris. It will then drain itself and happened again. I swear, I was going to have a panic attack from being so worried about gross water over flowing and possibly getting onto our carpet.

Before calling Darren, I looked on yelp for a plumber & called one place that was rated highly on here, and after explaining the situation, they told me, ""oh you live in an old house, your sewer system definitely has major problems, you should call Roto Rooter, I wouldn't call anyone else in Napa"" ... ummm what?!? 1) I hate being told that it's ""definitely"" something when you haven't seen it & 2) recommending me to ROTO ROOTER? C'mon! I'm a girl, but I'm not a stupid girl.

In frustration/panic, I called the last plumber I used (for a clogged laundry drain) on his day off. He told me to call around for a ""sewer clean out"" and that he didn't have the proper machine to do it. He told me to watch out for rate gaugers, especially since it's the weekend.

I then turned to Nextdoor, saw great recommendations for Darren, looked him up here, and called him. THANK GOD he was right around the corner and told me he will come by to see what he could do. Within 5 minutes, he diagnosed the problem, and within 30 minutes, it had all been fixed and we can safely poop again! The clog was on my end of the sewer and was most likely due to using thick toilet paper & flushing it down old pipes - damn you Kirkland for making great tp!

Not only is Darren super duper friendly, he charges very fair prices, especially for emergency weekend work (he also normally doesn't work weekends but I was lucky he just happened to be down the street). I'm a naturally very curious person and loved that he explained what he was doing and what was what. Thank you, Darren, for coming to my rescue! DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL HIM FOR ANY PLUMBING/REPAIR NEEDS. :)

I always use Ed's. I don't know of any plumber that doesn't have a minimum. I always feel his rates are fair and, most important, the work is always done perfectly the first time.
