Our kitchen sink was backed up. Having just moved to the area, we looked for a plumber who was close and somewhat inexpensive. When my husband called, this place was very close and we were quoted $80 an hour. He said he would come out between 3 and 4pm, after he finished the job he was on. At 4:30, my husband called him to see where he was. He said the job he was already on was taking longer than he expected, but he would call us soon to let us know when he could come out. At 7:30, my husband tried calling again, and there was no answer. He never called us back, and he never showed up. I don't care how close you are or how little you charge, this is horrible customer service and is completely unacceptable. I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone else.

For 4 years now, I have tried to get Ed Burgess to replace a faulty shower valve cartridge that is still under a lifetime warranty. He makes appointments with me, then fails to show up and fails to even call to tell me he is not going to show. He has given me the same excuse twice (six months apart) for not showing up (because his mother had broken her ankle). Once, in 4 years, he actually did show up and then told me that the plumbing supply house had given him the wrong cartridge. But he still hasn't made any attempt to get the right cartridge and get it installed. Now he hangs up on me when he realizes it's me calling, and his phone thereafter goes immediately to voice mail, where the recording says 'his mailbox is full and is not accepting new messages'. I would deal with the plumbing supply house myself if I could, but warranty claims must be pursued through the installer who did the work as he is the only one with the paperwork and receipts. There isn't a ruder, less respectful plumber out there. Run from this guy! He does not stand behind his work and he does not respect his customer.
